As dementedly as this thread has wandered, I liked the honest debate that erupted. Too bad it ended in such a limp manner. My own take is that this is EXACTLY the feeling one has in societies that do not allow, much less encourage, free speech and civil debate.

This thread was started by me as a (What would happen if) ideal. I had no ideal it would turn out like it did, I thank everyone involved for their unique opinions and ideals and I appreciate the respect shown to one another during the debates that ensued. I found it very interesting to see what other country's were like and some of the politics there in, This thread was a very good read and I thank all that contributed.

Some S&W's have a safety where the gun will not fire if the mag is out. I think this is what you are describing. If not, you should be able to fire with no mag and get a clean ejection. If you don't then tap, rack, assess (smack the mag to seat it, rack the slide, look in the chamber, then get back on target). PM me if this doesn't do it.

As much as I love the debate thread I created, there is something so satisfying about firing off some snarky "up yours you stupid communist!"

Today is Finland's independence memorial day. Though they still call it independence day. We were much more independent while we were part of Russia 1809-1917 than we are now as part of disaster called eunuchs European Union.

Today I'm going to make moose pizza, take things easy and watch a movie.
