Looks like Zup has put a limit on squads. Won't take away members but squads over 50 can't add members. Since I'm approaching 50, I'm going to get that extra member added now instead of waiting. Wait...what?

First game in at least 4-5 months last night. I was no superstar, but nothing to make good old MOM blush with shame either. Thanks to Penalba for knocking the rust off my wings, the blades off my propeller, the wings off my plane. Thank god my balls were in my stomach or they might be gone too!

The chilren saw me playing and joined in as well. I think the LAWMAN clan will be returning to the game! We were all thrilled to see that MOM tag over our names.

My fellow M.O.M's, by now many of you know that we are officially into the 100th anniversary of the first world war. As a little item, andas discussed with others I will be doing something to mark the war which could possibly educate or enlighten a few of us (even if it only enlightens me hehe).

So the idea is thus.........every day I will add a post. The post will follow the daily history from exactly one hundred years ago so that we keep an aspect of realism as I know for those who were there it was more than real enough.

One of the most fun games in a good long while, Kevin. If you can imagine it, the freakin' thing was already three quarters over by the time you joined! You're right, they're getting rare, the marathons. A shame that Rob got hung out to dry by the other reds at the end, even alone he put up a classic Zandorian wall. Might have to cook 'im up that Hannah Davis banner after all...

Well I was cruising thru some old tunes and came acrossed this one. It got me thinking of "BlüE MäX" and his blood pumping way's! We all have our favorite players in this game. MäX was one of them dude's that made me think..... "When I grow up I want to kick some ass, like that dude does"!
Some are missed more then others......







On a side note.... KISS is coming to town, and about 10 years ago I regretted not going to see them (not going to play live forever....well I don't think...?)
I will be going to their show and the coolest part, my 15 year old daughter will be going with me!

As I'm sure you're all aware, there are big doings in Dogfightland; in preparation for Squad Wars a membership limit has been imposed on all squads. Beginning this week no squad may have more than 50 members. We've been told that larger squads like M.O.M will be grandfathered in, but we still are no longer able to accept new members, nor am I clear on how our 185 M.O.Ms can be handled by the Squad Wars database/server if it can only handle squads of 50, grandfathering notwithstanding. We've also been told that the cap may be raised to 75 or 100. Raised or not, M.O.M will still be too large to conform to the new restrictions. Therefore...

We're subdividing! Fire up the unnecessary ride-a-mower, sharpen the hazardous lawn darts, get set to enjoy some suburban sprawl and with luck some neighbor's bored wife...

Instead of just one big M.O.M there will now be several also big M.O.Ms!

Coming soon:

Son of M.O.M

Bride of M.O.M

Planet of the M.O.Ms

Dawn of the M.O.M

Full Metal M.O.M

We're not talking Live Free or Die Hard here, these sequels are gonna blow dead reds against the back wall of the theater.

We'll need M.O.Ms from the primary squad to quit then move to one of the new 'hoods. Please don't quit quite yet! The bugs are still being worked out, I'll post more details when it's time to pull the trigger.

This change will mean that all M.O.Ms are able to fly together as allies when Squad Wars drops whenever it drops. Otherwise only 50 of us would ever be able to participate, no idea how those 50 would be selected. Randomly by the server, I'd guess.

The only difference between being in M.O.M and being in,say, Son of M.O.M, will be your in-game tag. The master roster will still consist of all of us, but with our new partitions indicated for easy reference, the thread will remain unaffected, graphics, banners, pizza and escort service discounts, all will be unchanged.

Look over the list, start thinking about which tag you like best, and stand by for news as it happens.

More M.O.Ms means more...M.O.M!! Who don't love that?

It's nobody's favorite concept, Chris, but we're stuck with it. When Squad Wars happens we'll have the option to tick an "Ally" box next to another squad, (or however it'll be made to work) meaning allied squads will be teamed up together in missions. That way if someone from M.O.M is online along with someone from Son of M.O.M, and another from Bride of M.O.M, and a fourth from Full Metal M.O.M, the server will see all four as allied squads and team them up. Partitioning the squad is the only way I can see larger squads being able to fly as a group.

Like I said, nothing about M.O.M, or each of us being M.O.Ms, will change except in-game tags.

We're trying to wring a little lemonade out of the idea. Ultimately it's all still the same M.O.M, nobody is any more or less M.O.Mmy regardless of which tag he/she has. I wish I weren't tethered to the primary squad, flying under "Planet of the M.O.Ms" or "Full Metal M.O.M" will rawk!

Oh, btw Chris, Full Metal M.O.M is up and running. Feel free to quit M.O.M and submit a Join request to Full Metal, Anthony Mad will approve it asap and get you your tag. If you want to be as seamless as possible wait till the last minute tonight, Anthony's in the UK so he should receive and approve your request while you zzzzz.
