If you're like me, i.e. broke, you can still come up with ten bucks. Or twenty, or five, or whatever change falls out of your pockets into the sofa cushions while you're spending hours on end enjoying this game we all love.

Repeat after me, "PLEDGE NOW TO DOGFIGHT ELITE!!"

I know we're all saying variations on the same thing. Redundancy may well be the key....let's bombard the DF community with this simple message and easily reachable goal. I've been working on promo material for DFE, trying to keep the M.O.M Flights project moving, haven't had time to keep track of the thread. I'm proud of all the M.O.Ms who've stepped up and done more than their part. Time for the rest of us to put our few bucks where our mouths are.

DOGFIGHT ELITE CAN HAPPEN. WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN. Not through our own pledges but through two weeks of concentrated blitz campaigning that makes the question "What's Dogfight Elite?" obsolete. Hit it so hard they'll pay just to get us to shut the hell up. They'll thank us when the new game launches.

Rick, I hate to be contrary, but despite certain emotional realationships with Joachim and the team, at the end of the day Echoboom is a business and we are consumers. This is not a business model that works for me. When I see a desirable product I will pay good money for it. Right now I'm not comfortable with pledging / lending money to an entity that intends to profit from me.
I look forward to the consequent deletion and ban for these words, but I believe I am not just speaking for myself.

Ronnie, you're entitled to your view/opinion. I don't agree, but I don't have to. As long as you're not trying to tear it down, I got no problem.

My thoughts and prayers are with the emergency responders, their fellows and their families. Been an awful couple of weeks all across the US. Again to Coop, Black Ace and the other "heroes" in our community here... Thanks for all you do!

I understand your views but disagree, if you PLEDGE $10 now you get the game when it comes out. That is on any available format and seeing as they are intending to release a P.C/Mac version, $10 is a great price. It's not a donation if you stick to a lower amount, its more an investment. $10 dollars compared to the release price of $25 that's a sound saving if your intending on playing on a P.C.
It's also a way of a business testing the water as far as attitude towards the new game goes, why take on business debt, if you can raise the funds through your current customer base and give them stuff in return?
Just my usual cloudy views on a topic that didnt need my cloudy views.

Below is the beginning of the Chronicles of Pixie. If you would like to read the full story, it starts on page 337. It is a sorted affair and is carried out not on the MOM thread, but on the Wardogs and Jolly Roger threads. Unfortunately, it is true that Pixie gets around.

Mrs. Roo, as I am so falsely accused of being and bad influence (sorry Rich, but I cannot be tarnished and stay quiet, you'll have to take your lumps), when you read this you will see that I was completely without blame and on an honorable recon mission that turned into a rescue/extraction. Somebody else (no names, but it rhymes with RichyRoo) took this many other, less honorable levels.

I have culpability.

It’s really nice, but does have a bit of that not so fresh, musky, wet hound smell. Anyway the first thing we noticed was what appeared to be a brand new 72” Sony flat screen. It had a small tag on the side that said “Property of the 111th XXXXXXX”. I couldn’t make it all out it had been scratched too badly. On the wall next to that was a schedule of some sort for “Friday Night Movies” schedule. This Friday is apparently a double feature, The Crying Game, followed by Broke Back Mountain. On the wall on the other side was the real disturbing stuff. It appeared to be some sort of dastardly plan. I snapped a quick photo.

I began fearing for the sheep. Having seen all we needed to see there, we headed for the central corridor. We ran into Roo and Max who had just come from the new bunk room. They informed us that besides the quite pretty purple floral comforters, matching curtains and dollied pillows, that each bunk had one of these....

Again fearing for the sheep and knowing we had to get back to HQ to warn Muck to put an extra watch on the enclosure and barn, the four us headed for the front door. Before we could get there we ran into Tink, I mean Bell (man that pink skirt is distracting). He had been on look-out, with very nice pink pinstriped rifle. Apparently, we had narrowly escaped detection from the watch out front. Bell snapped a pic of no other than Dr Dave diligently performing his sentry duties out front…

Knowing we couldn’t make it out the front, we slipped to the back porch. I was shocked at what we found. It appears we were too late to warn Muck.

We attempted to rescue the poor lost lamb, but it was already foaming at the mouth and chewing on sort of pizzle stick. I’m afraid we were too late for that one. We ran back to our planes and meet up with Cubano, who had gone to check out the other construction site. I regret to say his report was no more encouraging than the rest. Here’s the front side of the new building.

An evil plot is definitely afoot. The sheep aren't safe and we know Muck isn't packing. Immediate action is required.

Gentlemen, I know this was an unauthorized mission and we probably had no business attempting to conduct it. However, you have to admit it returned invaluable intel. We dutifully await our orders and will gladly take whatever you feel we deserve like the Mean Old Men we are.
