Mav/RiC0... So sorry man. I didn't baiI. I lost connection and nearly threw my iPad at the wall. I started flying rookie planes tonight and the first game I end of against Jane Doe. Had 'em down to one hangar when you showed. Could not get past Jane (no bomb the whole game and me in the basic Camel). Tried to sneak in from above. Diving from 3k feet and this is the last thing I saw when I lost connection.

The thread has been uncommonly slow today. So, I'll pick it up a bit. I've been doing some historical M.O.M thread reading for sleuthing purposes today. Besides finding what I was looking for, I found some other things. I've been playing this game for about 5 months. I've been a certified (certifiable) M.O.M for about 3 1/2 months. I am completely hooked on this game. It's a great game, but its not the "playing" that's got me hooked. It's you bunch of nutters. So, trying not get too sappy here, but y'all mean a lot to me and have become part of my daily life. I appreciate y'all more than I can say without sounding like some kinda creepy online stalker freak.

Big Tex & QUIET, y'all were the first to invite me. Where the hell are you? Tex, you can't just come on here with some mysterious apology and fade away. How are all of us MOMlets supposed to learn to post substantive posts without your fine example. We'll have to revert back to discussions about barnyard antics if you don't step up. QUIET, living up to your name? BS! Sound off man.

So after Tex & Q asked me in the door, Coop/Bopes/M4RTIN/Mean Ol Devil gave me a big welcome and made me feel like part of the bunch. Paul adopted my wife (in a not-so-creepy way) and has become a real friend. Muck and Dent are the MOMs I want to be when I grow up. Kopf/Mad, I need some laughs in only the ways you guys can deliver. Chet, we have a conundrum. Who the hell is going to gray/grey you out if you don't show up? (Speaking of which Godza has been spotted). Wig, we keep in touch enough that I don't feel like I need to tell you how much a respect you and admire your humor and sense of balance (but I just did).

For all of the other MOMs please don't be offended because I didn't call you by name. You are all significant parts of what makes MOM so MOMish. For all of the guys I chat/email/PM/banter with on a daily basis, I enjoy may days looking forward to our talks and backs & forths.

I appreciate each and everyone of you, sincerely. Thanks for including me and being who you are! Don't be strangers.

Max out for the night. I thoroughly enjoyed Rookies day. Tomorrow I step up a grade and take out the red triplane and spad. Testin out a glitch for one. I liked rookies day to so one more day.

And Parrot, maybe I didn't express with the same intellect as you, but that is what at least two of my previous long posts have been about. We're not stupid and we know MOM isn't MOM any more and I myself have asked for the originals to come back and help set the pace and style of the 'original' M.O.M but it appears they like to moan about where were going wrong but not prepared step in and be an active part of rectifying it.
I keep trying to give up this poxy forum and maybe once elite has failed been put on the back burner,
I might choose to try to leave the forum again then.

Here's a theory: You and I are what MOM is, and MOM is what you and I allow it to be. The United Nations is often criticised for being ineffective because its General Assembly and Security Council cannot galvanise its member states, well the UN is its member states! What I am saying (I think) is that there is nothing wrong with MOM as a concept or as an entity, but we, ourselves, are responsible for how its relationship develops with us, not the reverse. We all had slightly different expectations of MOM. I believe we all have, to differing degrees, certain frustrations with it. Ask my deranged step brother, Simmo! I don't think we need to worry about the loyalty of the old guard and the doubful values of changelings and sock puppets. I think we should just uphold MOM as a great concept and contribute what we think adds value. Most importantly we should put up with perceived shortcomings of others. Eight months ago I would have rejected social media as the stuff of teenagers and lonely grown up divorcees (sorry if the cap fits) Well, I have changed my view. I can honestly say that DF and MOM has enritched my already full life. I jump on every day and curse the inane ramblings and silly innuendo, but I keep coming back for more.
So Richy, stay with us. We may frustrate you, but we love you and you know it.
