My labrador's called Mitch. It's nearly Rich, and she wouldn't know the difference if I changed it. So I will trade Simmo for Rich.
Alternatively, name him Sabi. Google Sabi the Army Wonder Dog. It's a great story and the Australian Diggers involved would be very happy to know that the name has made it to the shores of the USA.

Seriously, mankind's bond to the dog is deeply entrenched - probably goes back further than religion. Don't be surprised if your affection and attachment to that beautiful creature goes beyond reason. If dogs have one fault, it is that their lives are too short. Tally Ho!

There was a lot more responses than I was expecting and can't clog up this thread all about my new addition but I will try and summarise:- (with no breathers or punctuation)

Manfred no Martin no dent no doc no gizmo maybe welsh border collie in tribute to Ktheo bean and parrot maybe.

Appreciated what parrot shared about two syllables and for that reason WIG IS OUT (of dog names not MOM ) the hunt continues but somehow Simmo is in!

My wife is a beautiful, gorgeous, young blond. My friend says that her legs are up in the air more than I am. I do not know what he means by that. She is not all that intelligent though, after all she believes that MOBY DICK is a venereal disease. She is however very sweet and loves me so much. Example, yesterday when I woke up i had to pee and I had a burning sensation so bad the i almost bent the towel rack in half. She being so concerned about me said that if I gave her a pee sample, then she would take it to the doctor for testing. She knew i hurt to bad to go myself. When she came home she said that i was trying to pass a very large kidney stone and the doctor gave her a large bottle of penicillin, he said it would remove the stone. The doctor was right i feel so much better today.
When I asked her why she was also taking the penicillin she said that she did not want to pass her kidney stone to me. Now is that true love or what. What a sweetheart!!!

Hey Captain Noushbag, thank you for your comments and telling me about parrotheads sheep "PIXIE". That gives parrotheads and myself something in common because once I had two of the most beautiful sheep myself but they were both killed in a plane crash back in 92. It was so sad, I was flying them to Modesto calif for breeding in a nice Lear. At18,000 feet we lost both engines. The co-pilot yelled to grab the parachutes, I yelled "what about the sheep", the co-pilot said screw them. I yelled that we just don't have enough time and we jumped. It was so so sad. Thank you, I wanna be a MOM. P.S. hey parrot head, could you send me a picture of PIXIE.
