Here's something a little funny from earlier today. I wish I had thought to screenshot it.

Was playing a game with a new guy I haven't seen before, maple-somethinanother. I shot him down, he tanked. I destroyed his tank. He opens chat with, "ParrotHead is a fag". I reply, "so?" .... "You interested?"

He says, "no, I have a gf". Next thing I see is maple-somethinanother has left the game.

Now that's a different way to handle abusive language!

Sorry about keeping all cryptic with The Star Chamber stuff, gang. That was never the point. We're still banging around somewhat blindly as one by one we all get hold of a clue as to how the new "simplified" system works. It's coming along.

We've added two new members to The SC: welcome Whitenow and MaDtotheMoM! Within reasonable limits a slightly larger board membership means a better chance to amass enough votes in a shorter time. There's some difference of opinion as to whether the new protocol should speed up, or slow down. the accept/reject time frame for prospective members. I want to stress this strongly; the membership of The Star Chamber (yes, look it up, dammit!) is based in part on as many original Recipe M.O.Ms (The Delirious Dozen) as possible who lack enough real-life time commitments to be able to follow the interminable flood of junk. If you are a first gen M.O.M and are not on the board it is only because we need active, daily involved members and the impression is that, unlike us, you have a life. Correct us if we're wrong. The later gen M.O.Ms like Muck, Martin and Mad were invited in because they'd already established themselves as catalysts of coolness on the thread, sometimes to the point of keeping the thing alive when Chet was off toddling around the Coliseum and I was doing the same in the ruins in my head.

As it is we still have a handful of members who are slow to weigh in. I anticipate that the membership will shift as we seek the perfect balance and dynamics. Right now there isn't a member in there I'd want to do without.

Bellsaj has passed Star Chamber muster without a hitch. We'll give the rest of the squad 24 hours to state "any just cause as to why this Bellsaj and this nuthouse should not be joined in unholy matriMOMy" then officially welcome him to M.O.M.

Too few of us have flown with Mmiller26, we require more interaction time. Who's played with M and who thinks what about his M.O.Mness? Same goes for Billy the Kin.

snowbumm1 is another who needs to be passed around a bit more, like a Vietnamese hooker. You know...a hooker. One of those great big water pipes.

I've been thinking we may need to thin out the ranks for the guys that no longer play but the logistics of this is probably impossible. BUT, at the very least, these prodigy yahoos should be checking in. If nothing else but to clean out the smell behind the hanger (couldn't be the carrier pigeon). Maybe a Rule 13 (seems like we should skip any rule divisible by 6, except for 666, which would be dedicated to MOD)?? Prodigy members must check in once a month or be removed from the list. Maybe a caveat that states if they post more than once a month we'll ban them, too? I'll send this in as an employee suggestion once I find that darn pigeon.

Z, you prescient bastard you! Chet is nose-to-the-grindstone sifting and sorting M.O.Ms into "active" and "inactive" rosters. Some play in bursts then go dormant for weeks or months, others play sporadically or comparatively little, still others are like totally M.I.A. (M.O.M in Absentia) Steve/Oedius is, sadly, the first of the Dimwitted Dozen original M.O.Ms to drop off the map. Other's, like Galahad, haven't been heard from since the squadron's infancy. Philip Flynn agreed to join...now he's saying "hell no I'm not in your squad." So there are also a few who are M.B.D. (Missing, Believed Dumb)

One thing that's definitely missing is more of your posts. Good to see you flying a little while ago, too.

Bellsaj used to be a Black Eagle, Bomber. Hopefully he's tendered his resignation all on the up and up. As mentioned already he's no longer flying the BE tag.

Hi moms! Sorry for not being on much. Our bandwidth is all used up and the only ISP isn't taking more accounts. And to top it off, being winter time the tourist have soaked up all of the 3G as well.
