It does sound all serious and non-M.O.M, Dave, I know. Fact is, it's not much different from the policies we've supposedly had in place right along. Just a matter of re-routing. Players have always been asked to introduce themselves, provide name, age, location, rank, a bit of personal bio...that's still all we're asking, only in email form rather than a post on the thread. So we haven't tightened the requirements much at all. As for the "assessment period" that would not have applied to you...you and I had played a fruckload of games together before I invited you to apply. Tex's suggestion about a two week evaluation would only apply to unfamiliar players. Ultimately the point of all this is to keep the thread focused on fun, not glut it with recruiting bafflement. And to better keep the roster peopled with fun...people.

Just one other note of sorta why this is happening.... When we were a group of 20, then 30...and so on... It was easier to follow what was going on, on the Thread with a new recruit.. But now that we are over 100 members, more of the newer members are posting, things are being overlooked through all the meaningful everyday essays of BS... An example of which was, Poor Ole --bob-- ... I'm too old and my multitasking skills are about as good as my DF skills, of which, Dare aint nun !! Rick is up to his Wig in Banner Production and I think he's awake about 26 hours a day..

MOM will never be like any of the other Squadrons, you can count on that..... Who wants to be the Recruitment Officer?? Any volunteers??

just had a dogfight with many moms, a couple of small fry and a lone falcon - when asked on his 14th if id like the honour of being no15 i repied "if you think you can" he replied "no worry i got a newb here" - with that i turned, sighted in the newb and lit him up, climbed a click or two and saw pownage still targeting the flaming wreckage, so i lit him up too - followed by my text reading hahaha. i love those cocky guys that you come across - pownage won but i couldnt teleport to his area fast enough.....maybe next time but i backed up our small army as best i could. hope i kept him busy so our guys got a few points in
