We did finally hit that last hangar, Chocks. It took me 100 kills to do it. And I did see you listed in the mission roster three times at once! The database had divided your actual score and unevenly distributed the kills/deads between two of you while the third you had 0/0. wtf?
And Don, in the mission you and I were in Richport got his 100, so did I. In the subsequent BTB missions I've played I hit triple digits four times, 95 once, 85 once...and won only two of 'em. The one you screen capped and one other. Reminds me of me calling MaX and Noush out for racking up huge numbers when it seemed all they needed to do was hit a friggin' hangar fercrissakes. Clearly, in retrospect, they were alone and on perpetual defense, that's usually how those numbers pile up. Sorry again, Randy.
I have to say, I am not impressed when players take advantage of outnumbering the opposing team to sneak high, swarm/camp, SK...I read it as a lack of courtesy. If you're at even strength or the enemy has a man or two (or seven) advantage, dump your bomb, sneak if you can, do whatever you have to do. But with stronger numbers? And when someone on the other team is playing straight and knocking on the triple digit kill score door? C'mon. Gotta admit, I'm sick of hearing, "It's a game." and "The point is to win." I've offered myself up to be someone's 100th kill more times than I can count and I've never pulled a sneak to ruin his chances of setting a personal record. "It's a game" you can play with respect for fellow players and some sense of the fun of it beyond merely winning.
While I'm in bitch-mode; what happened to the old practice of switching sides when someone is down 1 or 2 vs. 7 or 6? Seems like the game is getting less cordial, considerate, courteous and more cutthroat.
Still not fully bitched out; I actually got called an "A-hole" and a cheater by some yutz named WoodyvonWood (classy name) ... and have had to endure the snottiness of Lucian Pilic (Brits, have a field day with that name!) because, again, I have the temerity to get into a tank when shot down near the red base/boat, and that makes me a "cheater" who doesn't "play clean". Woody got himself a Mute and Lucian had to stfu when he was in a mole tank himself not twenty minutes later. These wizards don't have the common sense to figure out that it's the same for all of us. And try explaining "you're out of sync" to a Windows user. Bring plenty of aspirin to that exchange.
Joaquin is doing a marvelous job of enhancing the game and all this is only a lead-up to DF 5.0. Expect some glitches, sure, but expect to be blown against the back wall of your rumpus room, it's going to be amazing. Meanwhile we suck it up and exhibit some patience (and bitch a bit now and then, thankyouverymuch) with temporary hiccups like airborne/underground tanks and planes, Windows 8 spooks, etc. Aside from such stuff the game looks and plays better than it ever has, and all the product of one man's imagination and a helluva lot of dedication and hard work. That's a ton of relatively free entertainment we owe him. I'm thinking Muck, KTheo, Chocks, the rest of the Euro-M.O.Ms, in a kind of "Full Monty" gang lap dance. What I'm really thinking is "Joaquin would pay me to stop that from happening.
A lot."
