Best dolphin story I've seen in days, Muckers.

I agree, Max, the thread feels like the thread again. Oh, and it's a temp sitcheeayshun in FL. Can't get the NYC outta my blood that easily.

Great "Year Ago Today" post, Zandor. We're a bit like the Lafayette Escadrille; there's the early original period with the baker's dozen of us, then the "stickied" officially sanctioned squad featuring the expanded roster of 24.

I do wish SB467 would drop by, for one of the most articulate, readable M.O.Ms he's also one of the most taciturn.

Paul, I'm already crying over your "Misty M.O.M Colored Memories" vid. Maybe a separate vid on "Wig's Emotional Instability", huh? I'm thinking Psycho Killer or The Ballad of Dwight Frye as soundtrack.

Vesa, looks like we need a phonetic pronunciation guide for your name! Ahn-say-cohn. Own-see-conay. Ahn-suh-cone. Mine, by the way, is pronounced like "Widge".

It appears that a few of us have been duly impressed by Flocka_LockaWacka. He's been gang-pitched by M.O.Ms, says he wants to apply. Another demon Ace in the making unless I miss my guess. He was worried that not being forum-active might be a deal breaker. I told him many of us aren't. Anyone who's flown with him, though, knows what a pleasant in-game presence he is. Forum inactivity notwithstanding, that there is a banner I can't wait to write!

Lapa's been in touch via direct email. While we're sorting out his forum access he's stoked about being in M.O.M and wants the mob to know he's looking forward to tagging up and throwing down on the thread. (he's concerned about his English but it can't be as bad as mine) If I haven't mentioned it, Andrey is a real-life commercial pilot living and working in Moscow. If he flies up there like he flies in here those competing commercial pilots are well and thoroughly screwed.
;)

Paul: you said you were thinkning about pontoons for the bike? I've been working on a surfboard made from construction scraps. Pink foam (closed cell I think) and a welding blanket for my fiberglass.

Wig thank you so much for the banner! I couldn't have come up with something so clever. I do teach SCUBA lessons on the weekends and as I near retirement, I plan to do it full time once I pull the plug from work. Great banner, thanks so much. Thanks to all the M.O.M's who continue to welcome me to the M.O.M squadron, thanks fellas :)

Use West Systems epoxy. Google. Don't hesitate to call them for advice. Most epoxies will melt the foam. DENT will know the good stuff that he uses for RC.

Show us some pics.

They want about $1500 for the pontoons. Going to work on a pair this winter. I'm having too much fun riding riding in the warmth right now. Going to take it flying first. Just got my "Angel wings" for the pics!

Try this one. www.mikropuhe.com/live/
Then write "on se kone" to speech bubble and press "puhu". Sound good.
I tried "I wan't cake." It was total failure..

Perfect, thanks Vesa! So it's "own-say-koh-nay", more or less. I should've mentioned to the rest of the squad that your "title" on your banner, "It is a Machine" is the literal translation of On se kone. And that the text at the top means, loosely, "I kill you. I laugh. I am laughing. lolololol!"

Also the text on Lapa's banner (which we may be seeing here very soon!) means something along the lines of, "Welcome to Moscow. Capitalist pig." I had a word other than "pig" in mind but for some reason Google Translate kept rejecting it.
;)

According to Google Translate "I desire cake" in Finnish is "Haluan kakku." I'm guessing that's barely close?

Quite close. Just missing one "a" "Haluan kakkua." Finnish is one of the hardest languages in world. Maby just after Chinese and Japanese. Thats why google translate and Finnish don't mix very well. www.effectivelanguagelearning.com/langua...ide/finnish-language

Great! I've been living my whole childhood in a country that is trying to balance between Soviet Union and west. 1989 Gorbatshow visited my home city. All primary school kids were taken by bus to wave red Soviet Union flags on road side. Lapas banner is so funny!

Thanks for the phonics help! The biggest help of all was "Vesa". That I can handle one or two syllables is best for this dumb old country boy. You know things like... Boat, fish, fried, plane, fly, fight... Those work for me.

Last day at the lake, headed home this afternoon. For 36 hours! Then off to the coast for a few days before I have to return to that other monosyllabic word.... "Work".... Boooooo

Took a break from the lake yesterday and took the boys to Carowinds. For anyone that isn't familiar its kinda like the trailer park of theme parks. It's a couple notches above "South of the Border" (another minor attraction in SC on I-95), but a far cry from King's Dominion or Busch Gardens and a drop in the bucket compared to Paramount or MouseLand. Had fun though. It's the only park in the US in 2 states (NC & SC).

I'll try to add some pics from the park and lake from my phone after I post this.

The boys and evening Puddin' the Chocolate Lab dig the tube.

Swimming was a big hit and of course Puddin' has to share my float.

At the park... Boys on the state line

Was gonna take a clip from this song... Ran throught the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go.....Decided to post the whole thing..... Some history involved... Kinda...

DOGFIGHT OWNS ME $800.00

MY WIFE HAS NOT TALKED TO ME FOR THREE DAYS NOW. THE OTHER NIGHT I WAS ON A REALLY GOOD GAME WITH SEVERAL MOMS, SHE SAID TO PUT AWAY THE GAME AND COME TO BED. I SAID I CAN'T, IM ON A REALLY GOOD GAME, I WILL BE THERE SOON. SHE WAS PISSED.

2 HOURS LATER I FINISHED, SHE WAS ALREADY ASLEEP AND HAS NOT SPOKEN TO ME SINCE. LAST NIGHT WHEN SHE HANDED ME DINNER SHE THREW IT INTO MY LAP.

SHE WAS IN A BETTER MOOD THIS MORNING SO I WENT OUT A BOUGHT HER A NICE STOVE THAT SHE'S BEEN WANTING.

Question is will this work, will she talk to me again, will this buy me more hours on dogfight.

Dogfight, please send me a check for $800. Thank you
