Well, since my post, I've received reports from creditable sources that theres some history with mist and others I definitely respect. Not good history either. Personally, I haven't seen any questionable behavior outta the dude, outside of a habitual lack of ordinance (dumping), but I'll take the word of those in the know.

Those long hours long battles are few and far between with the not-so-balanced teams. They used to drive me bonkers, but that one was a hoot. Even with The jack wagon (see my earlier thread).
Fuck this place. Second rate hack playing in a yard that's too big for him.

I was interested in making my own awhile back. Came acrossed a web site dedicated to cigar box guitars. Got me inspired and I made this.

Neck is Oak
Bridges are deer antler
Strings holders and vent holes are plumbing parts
Tuners are from an old acoustic

I looked at cigar box ideas not so long ago. You actually made one! Good job!

I saw Sea Sick Steve at Glastonbury one year. He was given a piece of 4 x 2 with a nail for the bridge and 3 strings on it. He miked it up and played a mean tune. A friend build a double bass from a tea chest. H plays it in a skiffle band. Crazy lol.

Try to send the pics Brian. Use photobucket to copy.

MaX, Charles aka (97 Kills) aka Alter Ego must've been having connection trouble. He's the strong, silent M.O.M type but a sooper nice dood.

Parrot, your intel didn't tell the half of it; months ago I had to ban a player called King of Hearts. Not long after I banned Bloodmist262. Same bannable behavior, same email and IP address, same full-of-himself twelve year old weasel. Again with the ultra-clever Mod-dodging name change...TheDarkmist262. Kid...at least make some pretense of cleverness, cantcha? The same 262 as in your last banned name? Yeesh. He's still cocky as alls hells, but at least those couple time-outs and the inconvenience of running outta familiarly different names seems to have stopped him behaving like a bannable jerk. As for his multi-hundred-kill game skills? He's another one with some kinda blistering fast wifi...and a jumbotron in the den...and a joystick...and and and. I've called him out on it several times and he's always tacitly admitted same. He's about as M.O.M as that geek from The Big Bang Theory. No, I do not care which geek.

Am I alone in thinking that, cool as it is, the introduction of Dogfight on Windows 8 PCs may eventually (or very quickly) tilt the playing field until all of us on handhelds slide off into the game app abyss? I refuse to adopt those dopey "Charms" just to stay competitive with joystick jockeys in here. You iPad cowboys are bad enough...

Like MaXie said, Big C, you're welcome here on the thread and welcome to invoke Rule 11 anytime. When I said "we're flattered" in-game I simply meant that it's gracious of you to mention a M.O.M non-rule rule.

No, you are not alone. Reid (or 420, not sure who) already stated his/her concerns about this unbalancing threat.
But unbalanced games are common things since I begun playing this game, and all of us got used to it.
And I strongly believe that the abyss between smartphone`s screensize and iPad`s screensize is bigger and more deadly and more "unfair" than the abysd that will be noticed between pc`s screen sizes (TVs included) and iPad`s screen sizes.

No drama intended...

I have the game on windows 8 pc ....its not that fast . Youll never replace the skill in a steady aim, good back up , and a little luck . I doubt the handheld old dude crowd were all a part of will ever be less than a very credible threat to the bubble gumers, curtain climbers , and tricycle motors that grace us with their smiling grins that usually reveal a missing front tooth . death to the brats let them eat cake !

It is impossible for window's 8 PC'rs to play like I play and see what I see, For I play on a Phone and wear THICK BIFOCALS. Looks like a Drive In Theatre screen but yet light enough to whirl around the room looking like I'm doing a fairy dance.....

I believe the not-so-fast experience can be due to a not so good joystick; its a matter of finding a good one - and more importante, calibrating it well, seting up sensitivity for your tastes.

snobumm1 wrote: I doubt the handheld old dude crowd were all a part of will ever be less than a very credible threat to the bubble gumers

That's for sure! But it doesn't mean that we, old children, can not use what has became available to us, for a more comfortable gaming experience.

This W8 thing is at its beginning; I believe in next weeks we will see many testimonials about some bad/average players suddenly turning on "Blue-Max-Killers", and of course there will be many complainings about how unfair this multiplatform became. To a point that, probably, we will see a division on the servers, puting all big-screened players on one niche, and the mobile players on another one.

I will sit and wait...

there's no question joysticks offer Unprecedented control over motion tilt..otherwise wouldn't they be using motion tilt in F16's over....err...a big joystick? Combine that with a PC and large screen monitor and even a noobie will turn into Max times 6

been Noushed lately?

Just come in on 262, due to skill, low chat and the others present in game and guessed at Paul :pinch: now I read on.... Thanks for the techie reality check wig. Who'd have believed it. Now I really really love my ipad for being so slow and out of date. He played a decent game this round. ;)

Even with battery failure I re entered for another pasting from all on board :S
