In very real terms, folks, Z is talking about folding up the tent in nine days if the Kickstart funding doesn't come through. Think of it in terms of the end of DF... period. Pledge what you can, sell who you can. It will truly be a sad day in May if it is the end of Dogfight... :(

sorry Dent  round here if we are confused about the gender of a person we sometimes refer to them as RAYANNE .... like when u see a woman that's got a lot of the Y chromosome we might say that she's heavy on the RAY and light on the ann, or the other way round, anyway sorry for the confusion and no disrespect intended.

No problem Tink. I wound up in a 2 hour long game, maybe the same one. Lot of MOMs in and out. Snoopy!! And Blakhawk came in too. First time really playing with those 2. Lou came in and I think he tried to switch to my side (thanks), spent most of the game with only an aspirant that couldn't figure out which direction to drive the tank as help. I think just about the whole misfit squad came and went too. Game was so long I couldn't feel my feet when it was over (wasn't even on the toilet). Got a last minute surge of help and finally won it. I've had my fill of DF tonight. Going to bed.

It was fun guys. Snoop and Blak let's try it again.... All blue please.

Got the scariest phone call that you can get as a parent - the one that comes during the midnight hours accompanied by the words "there's been an accident". Nothing will wake you up quicker in a heart stopping cold sweat.

Fortunately for me, my oldest was unharmed other than some bumpms and bruises. Seems he was driving home from dropping off his girlfriend late last night when a drunk driver ran into his left rear quarter. Can't say the same for the old Texmobile. Guess I'm getting that new car after all.

As much as you try to protect your kids from all harm, you can never fully protect them and shield them from everything in life. Very glad mine was not drinking and driving like the guy who hit him, and glad he had his seat belt on as his old man taught him. And wearing clean underwear like his mom taught him!

As frightening as it was, it's also a positive reminder to remember to tell your kids how much you love them, how special they are, and never take today for granted.

So for all you parents out there who are reading this, drop the game for a minute and go hug your kids. Being a dad is the best job ever.

Wow, Big Tex. I'm glad to hear there were no serious injuries. I myself am a father and cannot agree more with you that there is nothing better. I always drop the game when my daughter wants to talk or share something with me.

Sorry to hear about the car.

Really pleased to hear that your Son has walked away with only some minor injuries. Sad about your wheels but cars can be replaced unlike the occupants.
I know that you lot KNOW that I'm not really mean enough for M.O.M but the last part of your post just made me well up.
Our son was readmitted to hospital last night for the second time in four and a half weeks due to his asthma. I've just woke up after getting two hours kip, checked my phone (no news is good news, right?) then came here for an escape from that poxy 'real world' then BAM, your post.
Maybe it's because of my crazy life so far or maybe it's the only benefit of being not so mean, the one thing I do know is I tell him ALL the time just how much I love him.

Best wishes to your family Tex.

Scary stuff Tex. Glad it's all ok now. My oldest is 14 and the driving thing scares the hell outta me. I mean, sometimes it seems like he can't get the paper out of the driveway without getting lost or having some issue. Luckily, we've never had a "real" emergency. Had a couple that we thought were, but turned out to be alright in the end. When you think something is or has endangered your kids, it rips your heart out. Tex and Rich, I feel for both of you. Happy to hear alls well for now.

And Rich, we've got a enough Mean to go around for everyone. (The not so mean parts or ok too, just don't tell the 12 year olds in this game that)

Dang Roo......
I read Big Tex post earlier gave him a Karma bump but had to go so was not able to read anymore post's.

I get back on and land a game with GMoney! Went to the 111th forum and gave him an attaboy, only to get back to MOM and what do yah know??? GMoney being the great Falcon Ambassador that he is, was the first to post after Big Tex!!

I was able to make it thru them ok.... Well next post..... Dang brought tears to my eyes. See yesterday i watched my oldest daughter and her grandfather head down the road in a truck filled with furniture. She got an apartment with her boyfriend about 4 hours from us. Your children are your legacy, you mold them for the big mean world and hope they use the tools that you have tried to give them all the years. So maybe their struggles will go smoother. I know this is not the same.... And you and Mrs. Roo will be in my prayers. Karma bump on the way Bro!

And to all that are reading this!!! Thank you! Each and everyone of you (MOM or not)bring a different element to this game/world we live in. Sometimes it gets rocky around here and I don't post much because writing is not one of my strong points, but just wanted you all to know that i think your awesome!!

To all MOM's that are DAD's!!! Like Big Tex or GMoney said take the time to give them a hug or stop and give them an ear! Or take out for some one on one like Dent did! Happy Birthday Lil Dent!

P.s. this is the second time i wrote all this.... First one was way better but it got locked up before i could hit send...... DogFight elite needs people JUST LIKE YOU to give them support so lockup's and GamBoot's will be a thing of the past! Im off to give a larger donation! Why? Because dang it!!!! This stuff is FUN!!

Tex, you got me to sit here and almost sob.
I'm glad he made it home in one piece. The car is eacy to replace, there's people who makes new ones every day.

And to you Mr and Mrs Roo, our thoughts goes out to you and your son.

The children is the most wonderful and precious you ever have, love and cherish every minute with them.

(I may sound soft and mushy, but you try harming my loved ones and see if you ever can be able to walk again)

Wow Tex, i could not even imagine receiving that call. I have a fourteen year old and I am dreading the day she has to drive. Thank the Lord everything came out okay.

Richie, I can not even imagine what you and Lou must be going through. My prayers and thoughts go out to both of you.

I am very thankful for my Daughter, she is the best thing that has happened in my life and I cherish each day I have with her. She is a true blessing. I for the life of me could not imagine my life without her and I get my strength from her.

So hearing these things really hits home for me. I pray that both of your families stay safe and be well!
