Any one of you, SC members, knows anything more about of this "shut DF down" thing?

I ask because it sounds illogical to me: Zup said at least twice on this forum that "he is not our slave", answering some criticisms I and a few others made in the past. But now, people says that this game can be shut down if he don't earn money from it.

What the heck?? This game is up and running online from months (years?) ago, and until now the great majority of us never paid him a coin for playing! Only now someone comes saying that he can close the doors? The logical thing to do (before reaching this point) should be charge us for monthly / annual payment, to pay server bills, to pay employees and to make his well deserved profit!

Why doesn't Zup or anyother Echoboom member give us a feedback about the well spread idea of a monthly-charging? Of course that, as the "father" of this whole thing, he could simply say: "I am tired, sorry guys: this DF thing is over, go play another game, because I don't want to work for free any longer, and don't want to charge players." But no, we don't have any feedback... What is going on?

Not be overshadowed by what Paul did, but Ped, Z(Joaquin) is not going to shut down DF overnight. So come May 5th he is not turning the lights off. This is his child and he wants to see it grow up and add siblings to it(so to speak). He is considering his options and I am sure he will come up with something. Rest assured he does listen to the community and will not over-night say adios.

His focus is fixing the bugs in DF and trying to make DF Elite a reality. He even presented DF Elite at Madrid's technology symposium where it was very well received by all who attended.

And what about the "For those that don't pledge on Dogfight Elite" topic? It simply disapeared! ( Here was the original link )

Howdy guys, boy this game has really hit the water tank for me, since last update game has been CRAP! every time I hit the fire ' out of bombs return to base ' comes up and you can't see sh it , no matter how I adjust controls, I have no control and with all the talk about this being the last few days of DF ... I'M KINDA GLAD , BE NICE NOT TO SEE MY $225 go to some whining computer game designer .... hmmm that's all I have to say about that

Lol. I got the same thing with fire button plus extremely slow turning.

Wig, thx for that fun btb game. Right after you had to go was able to take Paul's subway line to bomb the last hangar....overall a great team effort, and its always great to see the MOM effect...AWESOME! Shock and awe! We should keep an eye on that badder pilot...did a great job as a red...

The last android update works nicely on my Galaxy S2. Only complain is about slow turning during chases, and about not being able to taxing on carrier...

Besides, I was already stunned by seeing the long-time-no-see Desert Rose name typed in red... Going to have another nightmares this night... lol

That's right Ped... Never know when I'm going to pop up. You were practically on top of the hangars. I got a good turn/flip and was lined up perfectly. Got the "you've destroyed a sneaky Basilian" (notice the "s"' huh? but its still soccer) message and turned around and lost connection.

I tried several games tonite and lost connection every time. So to all the other MOMs I game in and left on... You didn't smell funny, it was my conn.

Ok I just had my first game after last update (re calabrate 3 times in a row plus save thx PH) WOW!!! Graphics are awesome!!! It is alittle different but so far was a great ride!!

A few players were saying diff. Things were not working for them, so i am sure it will need a bit of adjusting here and there...

Oh and didnt get the tank boot!!! Look out all!! Daddy got his ride back!!!

Benjamin is now home again and is doing well, he received amazing care from everyone at hospital and we are all just about o.k.
The hospital are concerned as to the severity of his asthma and we have now been given more of an idea of when to rush him in as starts getting serious very quickly.

Once again, I cannot tell you how much we appreciated the words of support.

If ever I doubt some of you lot, I now know who the real decent guys are.

Rich glad to hear all is better or at least more narrowed down for you guys. It was said earlier about the little ones. They are so hard to understand when they need something. This will get easier for you guys as you start to recognize the signs earier and he will beable to give you guys a heads up as he gets older.

What a relief, Roo! Everytime I read some coments about your son's health, I went to Laura's bedroom to check her breath. It was scary. Alessandra has an asthma history, go imagine my worries... God bless you all!

My dearest thanks too all who have sent there best wishes, support,and prayers to Our family over the last few days. Words can not discribe what we and baby Benjamin Roo had to go through over the last few days. I would not wish that on anyone.
As you know Little benjamin Roo is safe at home now and feeling better. He was such a brave little boy. I am so very proud to be his mummy and very proud to have such a great Husband who did every thing in his power and much more to support our little family to get though the last few days so ROO ROO i love you and thank you for being you. you a a great friend and a great husband and daddy so never ever think differently.
I just wanted to say, THANK YOU TOO YOU ALL. Even though these are just words on a computer and that we all dont actually know each other, its so very nice too see others sending there greatfully receved well wishes and support to us. You dont know how much it means too us. WE are watching little benjamin roo like hawks and not wanting to leave him for even a few minuets. He will be house bound for the next week as he wont be able to cope with walking down the road with out getting out of breath. And we are worried To the extend daddy Roo has put Benjamin Roos actual Bed in to our bed room so we can closely watch over him sleeping at nite.

That is hard to follow, firstly let me compose myself. Right, Mr &Mrs Roo this is my first look into the mom thread for a while, and a lot has happened! I'm relieved to hear all has calmed down with Benjamin and that this epic has brought out the best in you both.

Secondly, to all, I want to introduce myself proper, now I know the cogs better and have a feel for how much time I can devote to the game. I registered about 6 weeks ago to DF and am now hooked. The Star Chamber are to reconsider my application this month to be baptised into M.O.M Squadron and fed cake, so I will be put to the vote. Regardless of the outcome, I want to say hi and see you around, even if we only have a couple of days left!
