Not known, so far as I know, shoot on sight I guess with of course the recommendation to remove the tag toot sweet ( pronto). Though with that name it could be a MOM messing with you....or a falcon, they like pie.

I am considering it, but it doesn't make sense to buy such an expensive device just to play (it costs about US$1,000.00 here in Brazil...). I am considering an Asus tablet, or even a good Samsung tablet - didn't research yet, and wont buy one so early after all.

And about playing on TV, I can do it by simply buying an USB-HDMI adaptor, but this wouldn't solve the problem - because the image will be simply upscaled. The game will not "perceive" that there are more pixels available to change RESOLUTION. Size matters here, but the main word is RESOLUTION. I believe (correct me if Im wrong) that, at a higher resolution, the plane dots are shown on the screen when the plane is more distant, while in low-resolution devices, the dots only are displayed when the red plane is nearer to you. Hope you can understand what I am trying to explain...

So, I will look for a bigger and higher-res screen. But not right now, and not an apple. So, you aces will have at your disposal this humble easy target for a long while... lol

Saw him just now and asked him to remove the mom tags. Diesel was in the game too. He tried to claim he was a mom and diesel would agree too. Diesel of course said he didn't know him either. Then he said he applied today, lol! Told him it didnt work that way, suggested he read page 1. Promised he would remove the tags after game. If anyone sees him with the tags still on, well, u know what to do

Hey wig and Star Chamber. I have to agree on slowing down the process. I normally don't complain. I have seen MOM's breaking the rules. We have newer members not following to our rules. Some I wish were not invited in MOM. I will not rat them out, not my way. They know who they are. Another problem, we have older MOM's that like to spawn kill, then they think it is funny. Just my two cents.

Take off the MOM tag over your plane first. Then go to page one and follow the instructions. If you get voted in you can put it back over your plane.

Hi Pie. You can't give up what you never had, babe. Until you've followed the instructions on Page 1 (right alongside the email link) you aren't a M.O.M and should definitely not be flying the tag. Do as Blue Max has said, but before you apply browse the thread, introduce yourself get to to know the guys, let them get to know you and when you apply give as much info about yourself as you can, your age, why you want to join MOM ect. Feel free to post and join in on the thread, but above all take the tag off until such time as you are told by Lt coop or Wig that you're in the squad.

I was just in game with guylikespie was wondering when mom started letting noobs fly your banner, shot him down over and over, said to myself this is way to easy... when i frist started playing df i made same mistake it to easy just go to tools and join a squad, no one said anything to me started looking in the form and reallized you just cant join a squad, removed right away...

but their is someone sporting the mom banner who has for the past few days been attempting to try to insult one of the falcon officers by trying to parody the pilot's name. This is in very poor taste. I had a talk with him yesterday and he agreed he would cease immediately but has apparently started again with a different name. This sort of behaviour is game ruining and I believe falls under the moderator's jurisdiction. We dont want this game going down into a sort of thing where everyones name is being insulted. Please have a talk with this person, or expect their name on the blacklisted thread. I love comedy and laughs but it should never be at someone else's expense.

I've been in several games with one or another of the SwopCamel impostors. I have yet to witness a single syllable of disrespect.

For the past several weeks Dogfight has been overrun with variations on my own name. "Wigs" have been coming out of the woodwork, saying whatever they please while representing themselves as me. I saw no reason to overreact or assume it to be an effort to "insult" me.

A player's choice of name, provided it isn't overtly obscene, does not fall under the jurisdiction of the Moderators. Anyone in possession of screen caps of a "faux Swop" being vulgar, profane, overtly insulting or in any other way inappropriate should immediately pass them along to me or one of my fellow Mods, at which point we'll decide if it's something that warrants action. If you have proof of a Swop impostor teamkilling, bombing his own hangars, spawnkilling helpless planes on an airstrip or carrier deck, spouting racist, sexist or homophobic trash by all means provide us with the information. Barring any of that there's no evidence in this case that a claim of "game ruining" is justified.

To be fair, it is not appropriate to judge a misdemeanor not just by its fact. I have learned through my own actions that the moral effect on an individual should be weighed in these circumstances. Lampooning your name is good sport, because you have thick skin, you are the establishment, and you don't mind attention. But you are peerless and should not be used to compare Swop's grievance. I can testify that he was genuinely distressed by the behaviour of this impersonator. Singhy is looking after a friend - give him a bit more than this please.
