Concerning the latest Dogfight update 4.14.17 and it's "fix"; can anyone tell me for sure if all bugs are solved or is it still better to continue avoiding it like the plague? I heard that it was "fixed" but, want to be absolutely sure.

Yup i wanna join....lol seen wig ingame yesterday but my text stopped working. Will be ingame as soon as i get password emailed as using new device again and i'm useless with passwords.

I'm agnostic on that issue, but it also confuses me. What if it's all or mostly MOMs in a DF match? What do we do then, land on Duckwing Mountain and draw straws to see who gets shot at first?

And also, I SUCK at DF! Chasing bores me if there's nothing else at stake, like defending a base, trying to cover teammates or harrying the opposing base. In DF, where's my motivation? Plus, all that endless swirling around makes me twitchy, so pretty much every shot I fire is a reflex shot, most of which miss anyway. But sometimes the odd MOM will wander into one. Then I feel conflicted. And using it as a proxy for squad wars confuses me too because of the multiplicity of re-spawn points.

So while I will defer to Rule 11, life would be simpler (for me!) if we all just tried to shoot the hell out of each other.

As far as shooting non-MOMs first in bombing games, its suicide in my opinion (and unfair to your teammates) to ignore (or attack last) the strongest opposing players, and MOMs generally fall into that category.

I agree with you, Bopes, specially when you talk about shooting strong players first. So, MOMs, choose other MOMs first, because I am noob!!!!
And I don't like DF missions too. As I don't with capture the carrier. I really like bombing things. But if the only mission available is a DF, I'll stick with my position of not shooting MOMs. If all we have in the sky are MOMs, so I'll quit - simple as this. Besides, I will be shot a lot if I insist on it...

Hey Oedi, I downloaded the latest version the other day with the understanding from Z that the chat bug was fixed. Well, my chat would not work. I had to uninstall and reinstall twice. And on top of that my bomb button would not work. I had to press it a few times before the bomb release and by that time I missed the target. I don't know if uninstalling and reinstalling fixed it but my chat works now but my bomb button is works most of the time. So my advice is download at your own risk!! However, if it's just me and no one else is having the same issue, then download away!!

Exactly! You got MY point, at least: when I say that I won't shoot MOMs in dogfight missions, it doesn't means that other MOMs can't shoot me: they can!, and I don't care, because it's just a game. I will never get pissed by being shot by any player. If he/she chooses to chase me in particular, all right too! I need to get rid of it, it will be a training to whatever will be a squadron war, anyway. Shooting or ont a MOM in red (red name, not a red dress...) is just a PERSONAL choice. I don't think that it needs to become a rule at all...

So I was in a DF game with no one ranked over squad leader and most were noobs. I flew around for awhile watching the younglings go at it hoping that a higher rank would show up. Finally a major general did and I made a bee line towards him(don't remember a name). We went around for a bit and I finally got him. He leaves the game before his plane hits the ground. Why do people give up so fast? I thought we were a good match in skills and he was not easy to shoot down. What are you guys doing in games like this where the other players are at a much lower rank/skill level? I didnt want to just start liting people up (not much fun for either of us). I did chase one noob around without shooting for about a minute but he quit too. Frustrating when you have limited time to play and can't be all that picky about the game you're in. Suggestions?

What's the lowest rank u guys would take for an underage prodige to get in?!?!?

Try this:
Since I have begun, when I fly with a few new folks, I try to "AIRSHOW". Go to bridge and teach. Throttle, rolls, hover, etc.
It depends on what time you fly. It's fun playing with a plane you don't own or rent!

Grew up in LA as a Kings' fan. Yeah...I know...tough times but the triple crown line was fun. Been a Stars' fan (season ticket holder) ever since the move up to last year. Couldn't support them with my pocketbook if their only goal was to stay above the salary cap. Worry that they are going to kill the sport with the lockout again. Geez.

Mav - by 'Z' did you mean the #1 Z or #2 Z (me)? I downloaded the 4.4.17 update and had major problems. The final update (prior to the one released yesterday) fixed the chat issues. But, there is still an issue with the bomb button. I now hit it 10 times when trying to bomb just to make sure. Scared to download the latest .17 version. Side note to #1 Z...would be nice if you would up the version number for EVERY update and actually update the release notes so we know what we are getting. Software 101. (Oh, using a droid Motoral Razr Maxx.)

So, quick question...is there a manual or thread post on the point structure and some of the rules for this game? Seems like I learn something new every week or so. Today had 2000+ points in a Zep game and crashed into it at the end. Lost all the points. I knew the general rule but didn't know it applied to the Zep.

Would love to see a post that lays out the points - 4 pts for an engine, 3 pts for a Zep, 50 for a kill, etc. How you can lose points you've earned, etc.

Hey was in game with two guys ...Phillip Flynn and phillip06 both good players respect full asked them both to come to site to ask to join ....I like both of these guys .....I would like to see them with mom and no other squadron...stryker is a good dude flew with him a few times no problems for wat its worth ....all Hail King Wiggy...lol....PS took my skittles today I'm good.

Was just in a Zep game with Philip Flynn and I asked him if he was in a squad when much to my surprise he said that he had applied on our homepage.

Don't know about the rest of you clowns, but this is a no-brainer to me. He's good!

Thanks but, I would only consider updating if it would improve performance on my device or enhance in some way. I have been having trouble with bomb button on & off for a very long time now. Sometimes in a BTB game, it may take 3 passes back & forth over the hangers before bomb will release. There are even times when I miss a kill because gun button fails to respond. I had always just attributed that to my lack of coordination during chaotic frenzied turning fight.
