I was curious (like oedius) . We are rapidly approaching 80 members. Are we going to put a cap on this Squad? How many members are enough and do any of you think there is a " Jumping the Shark" point of having too many members ? Only because this is a unique squad of older players.. Our mantra of Rule by no Rules may get lost. We will have members that we forgot were even members anymore .( remember our brain cells) we already have a few members that we never see or hear from. They may have lost interest in the game or our squadron.? Are we trying to over prepare for Squad Wars, of which may never happen?
I was always for quality and not quantity and we have that with everyone on our Squad. ( well I got in by default , RHIP).
What are your opinions? Everybody has one, they are like..... You know!! Again, just curious .
Did you actually want any actual opinions? I've been mulling this over for a few days now, I was thinking to myself in a worried fashion, I worry a lot sometimes, often about inconsequential things like the world ending, the sun going nova, burning the toast while making the coffee. But this one is a really serious worry, where was I....oh yes, I was thinking that it could get to the point of being in a game and thinking who the hell is that with the MOM tag, do I know them, is it real, do I great them as a fellow MOM (real) and I wonder what will happen to this thread, to it's warmth and spontaneity (thank god for spell check), it's closeness and feeling of family/friendly familiarity. It worries me, we don't want to lose that, it's one of the things that makes this squad great and the best of the rest.
Just my umble opinion.
Oh and MOMland is about 10 miles by 10 miles = 100 sq miles. Then factor in the virtually reality virtualness, say times 100 and it's about right. Probably. I think.
