I'm reloading in Brownsville, Tn right now Dave... It's raining, has been all day, and the temp is supposed to go down to 17 tonight. I may stay here.... I actually have time tonight.

I was the only one who made it into Sysco in Mem today from up there. Several rescheduled, and the one who had the other load like mine was 200 miles away when I got there.... I know there are a lot of non religious people on here, but I don't mind to tell you that I do some praying when it's as bad as last night. If I die and find out I'm wrong... Oh well. It helps in the here and now.

Bell, no studded tires, and no chains....

No need to correct. That area down there, Laredo, Eagle Pass, McAllen, Brownsville etc is probably a lot closer to Mexico (people and culture) than it is to the US... It always feels like I am in another world when I'm down there. Not a bad world, just a different one. But hey, they had to draw the line somewhere, right?

Talking about Mexico, on my "bucket list" is to learn at least passable Spanish, get a decent 4x4 and go spend a few months bumming around the Baja peninsula. See the sights, fish on the beach, drink too much, eat lots of fish tacos... Some day...

If it's ok I'll have a glas of cold water. Non sparkling, and can you please put some ice and a slice of lemon in it.

Is there any relaxing music in the machine?

Jack, I have no idea what he says, but it has to be your truck he is talking about.

Dave, when it breaks I feel that way.

Bell, that ain't for me, but it looks like that guy has a lot of work in that truck, and then some. A lot of those European Volvos look like they have really incredible paint jobs and such. That's quite a truck. Is that similar to the kind you build?

It's a 50% chance or risk (depends on how you look at it )
that I made that truck.
That truck is in Poland so it would have been made in our plant.

That's pretty cool when you can look around and say "I made that" every time you see one of those.

I guess if I had all of the money I needed, my bills paid off, and nothing better to spend my money on, this is what I would like to have. At least something similar...

I wonder if that mirror chrome bumper reminds oncoming vehicles to dim their high beams.

Now that is a rig! Wonder how much cash he sunk in to that? Beautiful. Functional? I'd be afraid to drive it anywhere. He needs to haul some pipe to one of my jobs so we could pull him through a mile of 12 inch deep mud with a dozer. :)

It should make you proud. It looked like they held up very well in those impacts. I would like to have seen what a full rollover with a load result would look like. Most American trucks these days have mostly fiberglass roofs, and rollovers are not pretty.

That's the flagship show truck for Western Distributing Transportation out of Denver. Their regular company trucks are gorgeous, so their show truck is out of this world. It's way too fancy really for my taste... I've been drug through the mud b4 by heavy equipment and I'll take function over beauty anyday, but that is still a dream truck (if only for use in a dream world).

Are those blue flames on it? It would take 2 days and 1,000 bucks to polish and clean all that chrome.

I couldn't find that rollover but I found another rollover test.
I sure shows why you allways should use the seat belt.
