I am in as long as we are all in equal planes.. I am pretty good, but not good enough to take on the top players in top tier planes with my Spad.. yeah sometimes I can.. but only sometimes... & to be realistic about it to myself I don't know that I could take on MaX or Davy or wig or a few others even if they were in the flying Red Brick & I was in my Spad lol! =) but I would dang sure give it a go!!

I think this is where I disagree with you...I think it IS fair....thats where the points and my view on them come in...

I'm on IPhone 5.....If the "Cricket concept" is overly factored in...then I'll refrain from being in the tournament.....I would have preferred the tournament being as you and I were describing....It appears to me it got "watered down" with the Cricket idea in my opinion....

points ARE fair.....head to head is not needed because that is only plane to plane......one little teeny tiny aspect of ability......if one has more points than the other (going by all the details Whippy and I discussed) then how is that "not fair"....I dont understand nor agree with your understanding of it being an "unfair aspect" as you and Cricket have described.

Well sadly it looks like people would rather argue than compete and with all the dark clouds seemingly over the forum and game lately maybe it's for the best. It looks like there will be no tournament. Sorry to all those like me who actually were looking forward to it.

I thought it was a fun idea. Maybe when I get a good update we can fire it up again.

Ive been following this thread cos i thought i was intresting.
I would of liked to enter myself but considering i dont know how to sreen shot let alone upload it to the forum.

I recall my first month of this game was awsome cos we had dogfighting 1on 1 even during a mission...
Just to c players once more twisting and turning would be pretty cool....
Like seeing them dancing in the skies.
Now most just do head on shots.....
The stratergy has changed also......
Dont c much of the go arounds or high bombers.....
Once more its gone to head on bombing......

But Dogfight is the game so like the old ways....
1on 1 challenge would be Great....
U start from Base right....
So if u can straight shoot fine....
But once close u twist and turn until a winner comes out to progress to the next round...
Or u can say group A has 4 players they in turn challenge each other for points, at the end 1st place and 2nd place highest point winner goes to next round.
Group B does the same, C, D and so on...
Then u make another group from the winners of A,B,C,D.....
That u can formulate but u understand the drift....
Whip! If u like ill be happy to help suggest... u can also make one comp for Open ( any type of plane ) one comp for intermediate ( both flying same plane )
But to C who's really the best of the best in this whole game.....I doubt it...

But it'll be loads of fun...

Guys come on let's work with whip not against him. I desperately want to see a df tournament, just so i can see where i really stack up against the best. Let's let him set it up the way he thinks is fair. Don't like his set up? Then don't participate. It's not like he's holding a gun to your head. I'm still in whip imperfect system and all!

Well the suggestion after Whip and I discussed was perfect until the plane to plane thing got added.....I was GUNG HO until that one....I said multiple times I wish I could participate but im on apple and I'm not technically proficient to post screen shots....I dont always have access to PC 24/7 like my Iphone.....

I have been with Whip all along until the "plane to plane, kill/death ratio, end all to be all" was added

OK I will offer this I will make it if the following rules are followed:

1. No more arguing only suggestions for PARTICIPANTS to improve the structure
2. There must be at least 20 players signed up by Wednesday (Jan22) of next week. I will try and hold the tournament after the next update so Blue Max can join since it wouldn't be much of a tournament without him.
3. Some players will volunteer to help me practice the 1 on 1 setup so we can see how difficult it is to setup and arena type game

Other points of interest:

You only need to play in the events you want. If you don't compete in all events you will have a hard time winning over all but results of all events will be posted. Swop since you are trying to help so much and don't like one particular event I will calculate the results overall without head to head. Since everyone knows that you are against that part if you win the other I don't see any reason you can't feel like the over all winner. This goes for everyone, if you won't play because you don't like one part so you want it removed so you can win overall too bad.

The format will consist of the following events:

Most Points
Most Wins
Most Kills
Most Kills per Game
Most Hangars Bombed (Tank shots count of course)
Most Carriers Hit (Tank shots count of course)
Most Enemies Killed with Tank (3 for plane, 2 for tank, 1 for soldier)
Most Enemies Killed in Chute
Most Enemies Killed in Soldier
Best KDR
and Head to Head Battle!

The Head to Head Battle will be as follows:

8 players take over a game. They have already been arranged in pairs and matching planes decided on at the time of the pairs being announced. The pair fight to 11 and you must win by 2 or 14. The round can be either BTA, BTC, CTC, or DF. Winners proceed to the next round until there is grand winner. First second and third spot will be awarded win points of 9, 6, and 3 repectively.

Winning

The overall winner will be the one with the most event win points. First second and third place in each event will get 3, 2, and 1 win points respectively. The head to head will give triple win points since I believe it takes the most talent as a pilot (I know I know but read the rule 1). There are 11 events if pilot A won all the events even if pilot B came in second for all events and won the head to head pilot A would still win overall.

How is that?

That gave me an idea, offer like a $1,000,000 to the winner, but almost all of us have tons of useless money. I am closing in on $3,000,000 myself and unlike real life my wife can't spend it!

Also and this goes for everyone including Swop you can take photos with any digital camera of your device with the carrier bomb notification up or whatever event you are collecting and I will accept that too. I will not accept movies since I don't have time to sift through the whole movie to find your items. Now I guess if you had movies and told me the times the events occurred so I could jump right to them I would accept that...I would resent you and probably curse at you a few times without your knowledge but they would count.

I think Zebra has a great idea. 3 Events plus head to head! All the events can be calculated from the numbers in the rankings. Lets reduce the complexity altogether and only 2 screen shots required that can be taken by digital camera if necessary. So what about the following...

I will summarize that now with 1 screen shot at the start of the week and 1 at the end I can use the rankings to calculate the rest and you don't have to collect screen shots for all you do all week. Use a camera to take the screen shot it doesn't matter. There will be special criteria about the screen shots to keep everyone honest. So everyone who enters will only have to organize their head to head match ups with the player with which they are paired and decide on a plane (both German and RAF) to use. You don't have to use your top plane just come to an agreement.

Out of curiosity are we limited to only tournament events that week? Would only seem fair unless you're just going off of cumulative scoring for the week with the head to head being the main deciding round. Just want clarification is all.

i don't think current update is that bad, if your talking about split screen only occurs if you have the camera mode at close up

You can gain a score in any particular event anytime during the week in all games. Otherwise you force the head to head which is tied all the scores in the other events. Plus you would have pretty much the same results as the head to head basically making the rest of the events redundant
