The problem is that I fear I would bog down the process. I'm always amazed at how some of you guys can snap off screenshots at just the right moment. I have a tough time getting them without accidentally turning off my Kindle Fire, much less in time to catch the right moment or even the right chat notifications. Then once I have the screenshots I have to email them to my laptop one at a time before I can up load them. I'd love to hear some advice if there is a easier process with my device. Anyone? Anyone?

@whip, thanks again. This will be fun to watch even if I'm not able to participate. I don't want to throw a wet blanket over the excitement! Please don't feel that I'm trying to detract from your efforts by not signing up.

@ Swop, I managed to get a zep all to myself with no reds or blues the other night. It was worth 2800 points including the engines and the win. I've noticed that the amount of players on line falls off greatly after about 11-12:PM Pacific time. US "left coast-ers" would have a big advantage with the zep points if the tournament were held for max points over a week, even if we somehow used time stamps to limit the number of hours so it is not a measure of who spent the most time on. Different play styles make a big difference in points awarded during a zep game. For example, if one attacker in a zep game is fighting off the defenders and providing cover (a nod to Zebraup) , another attacker uses up a lot of time and ammo going after the engines, then others spawn in as the "both engines destroyed, structure is vulnerable" notice comes on, the high points awarded do not reflect the skill of those who just pump shots into the balloon. Kdr is no better of an indication due to different play styles. For example, cubanoloco' s style of focusing on the zep and not avoiding defenders gets him shot down a lot and very few kills but it also earns him more game wins overall. So, which style is better? I'm not complaining, just making an observation.

Whats your device? Mine is dead easy I just hold the switch apps double rectangle for 2 seconds and snap I have a screen shot. Edit: Kindle fire I saw but is there a specific model number? I don't know if it matters but often it does

Once I do that there is often a multisecond delay.

Wow. I'll have to spend some time on that. I'm not sure if it will work with Kindle. To be honest my eyes glazed over a little as I started checking it out. I'll see what I can do. It looks like I'd need to play wired to my laptop but it would save a step once it was set up. It might make it easier to transfer the screenshots I already can get.

well those who dont focus on the Zepplin need to do so...and those who focus on things other than kills need to improve on kills......its simple...I dont see a problem with what I and Whip have suggested....I also dont see the problems as you described. we ALL need to focus on EVERY aspect of ability in dogfight....complaining about Zepplin and focusing on other aspects of the game I believe promotes pilots focusing on only specific aspects of the game as opposed to ALL.....I'm just trying to address the "over promotion" of kill/death ratio as "fallcaious" as it is in the determination of total ability....We ALL must focus on improving in ALL aspects of the game...In Zepplin, like all games in dogfight, the objective is to win the game....each pilot have different level of abilities within the specific games offered....the goal should not only "fine tune" those you are exceptional in but also the other aspects at the same time....but I dont believe its a problem as you described.....other than the problem I have presented where a bunch of pilots focus on kill/death ratio and thats it....I have a problem with that.

Whip...for it to be a success..I would suggest not a "bracket format" but the screenshot format as you have described.....the tournament should be WAY beyond kill/death ratio....and it appears some who are wanting to be in this are desiring something different than you have presented.....

OK after a PM discussion with Cricket I think I have misunderstood his intentions and I have gone back and removed my belittling remarks towards him. I think it is a good idea but not the only event that will happen and yes the winner will not be the best pilot or player or whatever they will be the winner of this contest, nothing more nothing less.

So within that framework who else is going to play?

I have to go through the same process with my kindle...but it sends as a .png. Do you have to convert yours?

I'm still in Whip. Not sure what the format is now but I'll give it a whirl.

I'm in. I like to think I'm the best. Ive always believed it,lol but that's just my ego talking. My humble side knows I'm a lousy shot, but then so was maj. Dick Bong, and he was the highest scoring american ace of ww2. I like the idea posted much earlier of making everyone use the airco. If you truly are the best, you will adapt to its sluggish controls and low speed very quickly, and adaptability is a critical piece of determining who the best really is. I do see a few problems with the tournament set up though. First is screenshots. If i snap a screenshot in game it interrupts my wifi connection and drops me from the match. So not good. Also it'd be a pain for pilots to snap constant screenshots in battle without getting killed, so a referree and two other "officials" should be in the match with the dueling pilots to capture the images and enforce the rules of the tournament. Next is getting server space without worrying about intrusions by
pilots who will interfere with the tournament. I suggest seeing if zup would be willing to lock a server for us late at night us time for an hour or two per night accessible only by those participating in the tournament. Third, i suggest starting it as squad based, top two from each squad advance to the next round, then one from each squad for the round after that until you get down to your final four. Then you
have your semi final round and your final round. The only other potential issue i see is keeping track of all of this since many of us will continue with our normal playing in between the tournament rounds each night.

There is no way to make it perfect, but whip has organized a few things in this game so of all the people on here he gonna be the one who knows the best way to do it. Lastly I'm certain THIS IS FOR FUN !!!! So what does it mater if it's perfect.

I forget how many scavenger hunts Whip has done, but they were all a success I believe.

Lol it doesn't have to be perfect, i just have wicked ocd so i want the results to be as accurrate as possible so i can see how i actually stack up against the best of the best.

Well we can vote, I don't want to be the only say in how this is run. We will have all unsettled issues voted on by only participants and if it comes to be that more would like noob planes then so be it. If it's only those who don't own the top plane I will not allow that though.

Well to be fair Swop I am doing both. I will post the revised structure later today but basically the head to head and twisting events will be replaced by Cricket's idea and the rest will be the plan as I described before. If you don't want to take part in any event you dont have to it just will be hard to win overall. It wouldn't be at all accurate if players din't sqare off against each other.
