Just to make it quite clear: The small "interview" in the first message was purely fictional, and Whatupdogfight never said anything of it as far as I know !

The truth is I had been looking for one of the MRAFs to see what their new paint scheme looked like, and had got a glimpse of zebra stripes flashing by.

When I tried to get close enough to take a screenshot of one of them, and he was on the opposite team I was shot down before I could align the camera.

So I waited until I was on Wassup's team, and parked alongside the hangars to wait for him to be respawned in front of me.

Before long, the other players asked me what was wrong: "Are you stuck Veidar?".
There is a wonderful cooperative spirit in this game! - at times, that is.

Then Whatupdogfight asked me if I was out making snapshots, and came and parked beside me. That's all!

I've always wondered what would happen if I bombed the bridge down over a carrier. Well now I know: Nothing! (the photo is of another situation)

I tried to drop a bomb on the carrier as it passed under the bridge, and I miscalculated a bit and hit the bridge instead.

A real carrier would at least have had to be taken out of service for some time, but the Dogfight carrier sailed on quite unharmed.

A section of the bridge fell right down on the deck, - and disappeared, and the plane that was taking off under the bridge too was unharmed.

Look at the bridge with the house at the end. It seems to stand only say 20 yards above the water.

It seems impossible that there should be room for an entire giant carrier, with superstructure, radar masts and all, to pass under it. But something magical happens when the carrier arrives that prevents it from snagging.

From the way the bridge looks, the original idea may have been to let the mid section open to let carriers pass, but I guess the idea was shelved, at least temporarily.

Z seems to have taken an interest in the tank spawn-killing problem. I'm sure I speak on the behalf of all when I look very much forward to see what he comes up with!

Finally! Can't wait to see what he'll do. I don't like kicking players -- but I will when they're ruining the game for others.

Z, heres my idea; when you get killed by a tank, instead of counting it as a down, let them take a tank, skip the soldier stage. they could then kill the tank, go on the runway, and take their plane back. this wouldnt interfere with any legit uses of tanks, but you could only spawnkill a couple times.

Not quite sure what topic this is... Today, I was inside the carrier and someone dropped a bomb on the carrier right above me and it killed me! Is that supposed to happen? Is it new? Adds a twist that it might be worth carrier a bomb on the way to carrier until you really need to drop it.

Thats not new. I do it to kill people inside all the time.

hi guys I was wondering whats up with the karma I have been giving people that deserve it a point. But I guess I don't have any friends because I have 0 karma can't a brother get a little love.

It happens that teams are decisively uneven when a game starts, with one colour almost all aces and the other almost all aspirants.

Counting myself a medium player, when I find myself in a game like that, I may try to change sides to even things out a bit for the weaker party.

That was my first thought yesterday too when I found myself in the company of three aces at the start of a bomb-the-hangars game.

Then I got a chat message from Green Freedom: "Taking pictures?".

Well, since this looked like it would be easy going, I accepted the challenge, loaded a bomb and headed for the south airport.

Green Freedom and Dawsonn57 were busy clearing the way for the bomb run when I arrived. There was little to do for me, - Green and Dawsonn did all the work, so I made the first snapshot.

They also tried flying in formation, but the going was not all THAT easy. The red team did in fact defend themselves as well as they could, so I did not succeed in making a photo of the VERY short lived formation before Green and Dawsonn had to clear the skies so we could place our bombs.

There was one hangar left after the three of us had dropped the bombs, and the red players exchanged some sad comments like "crap", "this game sucks", and "bye, I quit".

I was the last one to drop my bomb, and Group Captain Squirelhand and a couple of aspirants kept bullets flying around my ears, so I had to circle a while around the airport and shoot them down a few times before I could start to fly back towards the base. Then messages started ticking in from Green Freedom: "We're at the airport. Would you like to take pictures of us landing?".

I flew on without seeing much and without paying attention while I answered, and I inadvertantly flew in a circle so that I came within shooting distance of the red team. It cost me a cracked windscreen, but with the Albatros I soon put enough distance between us and before long I could join the others at the north airport.

They sat at the far end of the runway, and I drove around them to try and make some good photos, but the red team were not far away, and before long we all had to take off again. The only picture I got was this:

Always nice when better players quit and join the over-matched side. I've gotten some nice thanks when I do that. Then I get slaughtered but lots of good Karma. Can be intensely fun sometimes too and a smile when the aspirants successfully run the Ace Gauntlet...
