U realize that people kill blue on accident too. tips to avoid it, dont shoot when blue is.behind them or chasing them, that really ticks me off when I am chasing someone and they get killed or I get killed. Or if they are in front of u. I have killed a blue down in days lucky me.

There is another class of zombie aircraft and tanks that just sit there, seemingly forever, and you can shoot your magazines empty at them without harming them. It looks promising at first, because you get the message "You've hit XXX", but nothing happens.

In this screenshot XoX was poised for spawnkilling, but did nothing. He just sat there during the whole game as if he were some sort of war memorial.

At first I tried to shoot him because he was nicely placed in the open lane between the houses, but I only got the customary "You've hit XoX, You've hit XoX, You've hit XoX" etc...

Then I landed behind him to investigate...

In a game last night I had a red plane spawn behind me as I was taking off ! I shot him down and he re-spawned on the far west side of map ... I fanged over there to investigate and shot him down again ! He re- spawned on the far- east side so fanged over there and shot him down again ! He re-spawned back at my base again and so it goes on.

He was Andre12345 or something, i have never seen this before.

Any one know of a screen capture app that does NOT require ROOT? My HTC cant get to root....and is my main DOGFIGHT system as it would be said...its better then my LG but LG rooted lol

Getatthisdude told me about "Screenshot UX" I have the free version and it works fine with unrooted Samsung Galaxy S2.

In this "bomb the enemy airport" game I noticed the name "Dirk the Daring" in between the buildings of my home airport, and thinking it had to be a tank, I made a round to see if I could get him before he took out our hangars.

But there was no tank!, and there was no walking soldier either. Only when I stopped looking for him down between the buildings did I discover where he was.

He was lying in his parachute on top of the sawtooth-roofed building! He had been lying there for perhaps half a minute or more, so I wondered what was amiss, but I made a last round to get him into my sights and put him out of his misery.

Then, unfortunately, I had a telephone call and lost the connection.

Have any of you seen this before? Do you need to hit the ground to get rid of the parachute?

Are you there Dirk? Can you tell us what happened? You're a Group Captain, the one-large-star kind of officer, so you should know your way around!

I have landed on the buildings before(by accident) and you are kind of stuck. You can try moving but the building impedes you and makes it difficult. I eventually had to auto destroy.

Any time I have parachuted onto a rooftop, some force pulls me over an edge, even if it is a flat top. At least so far - BigBoss reports that he's been stationary on top. Slanted roofs take me down the slope onto the ground. Interesting, the sawtooth might result in what you saw there.

Next time you see me in-game, let's arrange an experiment!

I wouldn't say I was totally stationary. I was still able to swing myself around like in the sky, with the exception of the building being in the way and not allowing the slide off that you describe. I sure was trying for the slide.

I think they take less, actually. I may be wrong.

PNG's preserve color, no compression, not lossy, you get back the original image -
JPG's use compression so the final compressed file is not a direct copy, cannot get back to original - a lossy compression scheme.

Size of PNG can be small (compared to orginal) if it has a lot of the same color in it, for screen shots I use PNG to keep color accuracy and lines and fonts clear.

JPG's usually smaller, and can be considerably smaller if a low quality compression factor is used.

Try both on the same image and compare - look at file size and uncompressed image compared to original.

It has been confirmed that the "dark pilots" are working on new ways to get back in the air after being shot down.




Meanwhile the 111th Falcon squad appear to have a new interceptor aircraft in the works.



Here at [E]NIGMA however, we have taken a different route altogether. Keep an eye out for the [E] Super-Weapon CODE NAME (S[E]A GULL).

IQQI has it spot on. For text and line drawings png is best. Jpg smears out lines and makes colour boundaries unclear, but shrinks photos very efficiently.

Png saves a lot of space compared to bmp (bitmap) because it doesn't chart every single pixel in areas with the same colour. It's the simplest way of compressing graphics with no detail loss.

But this is technical stuff that ideally should be in the DUJ thread rather than in DOGFIGHT NEWS
