Wow, that's amazing. What device are you playing on? I've never seen planes in the air that clear...at that distance on my old crappy phone, Dawson57 would be little more than a speck.

It was done on a Samsung Galaxy S2, with high resolution "Super AMOLED" screen, which is my favourite phone for dogfighting.

If the fight had been quicker paced, though, I would never have been able to get this close.

Flying in formation is incredible/extremely practicle.

Once, myself and 4 other players (I have the screenshot, I need to upload it.)

Were flying in a sort of "diamond formation". As soon as a plane would approach us, they wouldn't know what target to pick and would (inaccurately) shoot at all of us as we all blasted away. Not only did we conserve ammo, health, etc -- but we ended the game in 2-3 minutes flat.

Nice. Most "teams" can barely get off the ground cleanly, much less fly in formation.

Veidar, join a squad when squad wars comes out. That's when the formations will kick in You can take a lot of screen-shots then

I have now taken FlyMagic's example and started a new account with the in-game name "PHOTOGRAPHER".

If you see a plane with that name appear in one of the games, it means "don't shoot".

If I'm shot at I will immediately post a pre-typed chat message to the effect that I am just out to take pictures and that I am not an active player.

When SQUAD utilities are made available on the Forum, I'll create a squad named "PRESS". Then, when I'm out taking photographs, you'll see the word PRESS above my rank symbol, and PHOTOGRAPHER below it.

I guess FlyMagic, with his alter ego "PHOTO PLANE", will want join the PRESS squad too,

We could use this thread that Sky created, and use it for our journalistic work. What do you say about that FlyMagic and Sky... and all you others?

Even though a hat with a press card and a Speed Graphic camera is preferable, cap should be ok enough.
