@davy, try using a different browser. It seems it doesn't like internet explorer very much for instance.
I tried with chrome and firefox and no problem.

Hey ZUPERMAN, i don't even know what a browser is, it's all I can do to turn the the computer on. I use an ipad because its easy for me to use lol lol. My brother is the computer expert of the family, not me. Next time i get him over here i will have him handle it, in the meantime is there a way i can get that last $500 spot. Sorry for being such a pain but technology is not my forte.

You represent a lot of folk! Also KickStarter is not known in uk, or Sweden. I have pledged, but really I found it more hassle than It should be. Either way, gd luck with your pledge.

Folks I heard a rumor that anyone who pledges any amount will get an immediate performance boost. You will shoot straighter, turn quicker, fly faster, and bomb ... bomb-ier.

It's only a rumor, and it might only be a placebo effect, but what have you got to lose?

STEP RIGHT UP, FOLKS!

In fact, many years ago, before the dawn of the interwebs, Tom Waits prophesied the following about Dogfight Elite:

That's right, it filets, it chops, it dices, slices,
Never stops, lasts a lifetime, mows your lawn
And it mows your lawn and it picks up the kids from school
It gets rid of unwanted facial hair, it gets rid of embarrassing age spots,
It delivers a pizza, and it lengthens, and it strengthens

And it finds that slipper that's been at large
under the chaise lounge for several weeks
And it plays a mean Rhythm Master,
It makes excuses for unwanted lipstick on your collar
And it's only a dollar, step right up, it's only a dollar, step right up
. . .
Please allow thirty days for delivery, don't be fooled by cheap imitations
You can live in it, live in it, laugh in it, love in it
Swim in it, sleep in it,
Live in it, swim in it, laugh in it, love in it
Removes embarrassing stains from contour sheets, that's right

And it entertains visiting relatives, it turns a sandwich into a banquet
Tired of being the life of the party?
Change your shorts, change your life, change your life
Change into a nine-year-old Hindu boy, get rid of your wife,

And it walks your dog, and it doubles on sax
Doubles on sax, you can jump back Jack, see you later alligator
See you later alligator
And it steals your car
It gets rid of your gambling debts, it quits smoking

It's a friend, and it's a companion,
And it's the only product you will ever need
Follow these easy assembly instructions it never needs ironing
Well it takes weights off hips, bust, thighs, chin, midriff,
Gives you dandruff, and it finds you a job, it is a job

And it strips the phone company free take ten for five exchange,
And it gives you denture breath
And you know it's a friend, and it's a companion
And it gets rid of your traveler's checks
It's new, it's improved, it's old-fashioned

Well it takes care of business, never needs winding,
Never needs winding, never needs winding
Gets rid of blackheads, the heartbreak of psoriasis,
Christ, you don't know the meaning of heartbreak, buddy,
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon

'Cause it's effective, it's defective, it creates household odors,
It disinfects, it sanitizes for your protection
It gives you an erection, it wins the election
Why put up with painful corns any longer?
It's a redeemable coupon, no obligation, no salesman will visit your home

We got a jackpot, jackpot, jackpot, prizes, prizes, prizes, all work guaranteed
How do we do it, how do we do it, how do we do it, how do we do it
We need your business, we're going out of business
We'll give you the business
. . .
Step right up, you can step right up, you can step right up
C'mon step right up
(Get away from me kid, you bother me...)
Step right up, step right up, step right up, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon
Step right up, you can step right up, c'mon and step right up,

C'mon and step right up

When I was looking at one of the updates on the DF Elite Kickstart site there was a post by Zuperman that had designs sent to him. One,a hand sketch, had Dogfight on top with a nice rendition of a Spad below it. I thought well done and attractive.

I think this would make an excellent T-shirt that I'd buy in a heartbeat. Maybe a 'store' could be set up with a collection of like items (T-shirts, mugs, hats etc) that we can buy, both for our own pleasure and as another means of support of DogFight.

I don't mean to add anything to dilute the Kickstart effort - just suggesting an additional avenue of revenue for DF. Most of these kind of items can be dropped shipped - just requires some good designs and it appears to me that several of the players are quite adept at it in addition to the talented DF staff.

Yes! Sorry for the Spad reference - MOM member

The Nieuport is one of my favorites - the hand sketch gives it a unique quality too

About your latest update....

Don't forget...
Balloons were used also for protecting venerable locations. they would be put over bridges, and factories. The idea was, the cable they were held by, would bring down planes . Because at the speed the airplanes fly, the cable would literally chop off wings!
Thus it forced pilots to fly over them, making bombing and strafing difficult.

I have a big decision to make.
Do I "invest" $75k here?
I get no return. Not even tax deductible.
You folks are great, but that might be a portion that might go to my other causes.
I'm torn.
Help please?

I hope maybe Joaquin will read this and maybe suggest some sort of 'arrangement' so you could get a return. Failing that, I say make a lower pledge and keep yourself happy, would you 'donate' such money to any other business with no return?

My "folks" have looked at it from all angles.
No way for deduction. That's not a problem to me.
It takes away from my long-time help for food kitchens, homeless, and kids programs. My true love.
That's the hard part.
I have just made a "move" on the market....we'll see.

I have final say.
I DO WHAT MAKES ME HAPPIEST & SMILE!

@Paul, it's a tough thing for me to reply since it's my project and I'm looking for funding.
I think if you have to choose between my project or helping someone in real need (homeless, food, etc...) don't even doubt it. We want to make our dream come true but that's nowhere near not having a place to sleep.

If you have a company or any other investment that we can promote, then Dogfight Elite should be able to help you get the word out by mean of advertising. Otherwise we can talk in private and see if we can think of options to get it returned as an investment, but right now it's big risk because we have no clue how it will sell or anything.

As for tax deduction... it's actually possible to put it as an expense. You can create an LLC in a couple hours, it would be an expense but obviously it is only deductible to the company not to you personally (or so I believe, not 100% sure how's the law in USA for single manager llc).

I have the "boys" looking into it. "Boys"? 2 are older than me.
I'm trying the LLC. Taxes are not the thing to me. It's the things I have set up after I'm gone. I pay these fellows & lady to do this stuff. If it was just up to me, go for it.
However, my interests in many other things over-ride my caring for DF. It's the way of life to me. I'll do the best I can.
They know about the short deadline. I'll do my best.
Lifetime obligations have precedence.

I'm with Bopes, I notice I'm more lethal in DF after pledging...

I don't know why some are having trouble getting in, here is the URL Kickstarter URL for DF Elite

www.kickstarter.com/projects/echoboomapps/dogfight-elite

I'll tell you how I think about my pledge. I've gotten more fun and entertainment for my purchase of DogFight than any other entertainment I buy. Think of the cost of dinner or a movie compared to the hours of fun and frustration from DogFight. If DogFight Elite is as good as it looks, I'm sure my pledge will cost me pennies per game. So, if I help Joachin and crew build their business and make more great games, I don't need a tax deduction. I do need a cool plane though.

In the skies, Seattle

There is one big social aspect of the game though... I'm contacting lot of veteran groups because many people died on WWI & WWII without being recognized. Most know about the big missions but there are many squadrons out there that were part of the war and has their own heroes but few know about them. I'm trying to put them on the map with Dogfight Elite but due to their age they are not understanding the whole game/mobile thing :)

On my phone tuff to type.

Joaquin, I've always had respect for you and what you are trying to do. You just gained a new found respect for your reply to Paul.
Paul, people like you are why I have the a little faith in this world around me. Your concerns for the needy and willingness to help is commendable. People like you Paul are.the reason I have any faith at all....
These posts between Paul and Joaquin hopefully set an example for everyone. I really wish more people could see this....Then I believe Joaquin would exceed his goal.....
Sorry for the bad type I'm on my phone. Wish I was better at expressing. You all understand
