Where does the term
"Bravo Zulu" originate?

The term originates from the Allied Signals Book (ATP 1), which in the aggregate is for official use only. "Bravo Zulu" is defined by the Allied Naval Signal Book (ACP 175 series), an international naval signal code adopted after the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) was created during 1949. Until then, each navy had used its own signal code and operational manuals. World War II experience had shown that it was difficult or impossible for ships of different navies to operate together unless they could communicate readily, and ACP 175 was designed to remedy this.

In addition to flaghoist and voice radio, use of the term Bravo Zulu has also been extended in contemporary times to include written correspondence and message traffic from senior naval officers in command (i.e., captains and flag officers) to congratulate or otherwise compliment contemporaries or juniors, to include their subordinate crews or commands, for outstanding performance

I signed up on the site awhile back, I think you me and Myrlin with maybe one other were all that were there at the time but if you got it up and running great. show me where to find a basic tutorial and you've got an assistent to help you with the site, if you'll have me? I'm just now catching up on things after a forced break (stupid machines) from the internet and I agree with Viper concerning the thread count. Flight school doesn't want a thread, just a way to communicate with everyone. I posted like I did because I can't send PM's (says memory on line such and such is full,whatever that means) and since I was simply making a proposal I cut and pasted it for approval, having been given the go ahead to formulate a draft. So I vote for Main Thread, Banner Shop, The Wall of Spectacular Wolves, Lil's Place, and Recruiting. Everything else is frivolous bling ,much like a collar, and I for one will only wear a collar if she were to ask nicely. That's my opinion only and it's been known to change from time to time,so..............

On the subject of Threads, I wholeheartedly agree with the "keeping it simpler" frame of mind. It has become rather labor intensive to keep up with all of the threads. Further discussion or maybe a simple POLL for all members can quickly eliminate the need for so many of them. Many of them were created, and sometimes duplicated by members who were not fully familiar with proper posting procedures, or being unfamiliar with how the Forum worked.I am sure there was no ill intent, only an uneducated desire to become active on our forum thread. I'm sure everyone will understand the efforts for consolidation without taking it personal...myself included.

I Love my Banner thread, but if deemed necessary, I shall consolidate and move the factory. As long as I'm a Wolf, my place of magical conceptions shall move with me. It's portable. I don't need much Real Estate at all. With nearly 500 posts, It has served our Wolves, as well as pilots from other Squads with nearly 200 Banners, not to mention any of the special requests for awards or commissions from our esteemed leaders. I'm still working on(per Digger's commission) a Squad-wide, and universal Banner that we can all post along side our customized ones, and to show unity among us. Digger wants something that has a WOW factor, so, I am working on a creation that hopefully will hoooooooowl Wolf Pack. Stay tuned.
I'm so grateful that I have had the blessings to be creative for all of you. If it sounds like I'm puffing up and boasting a bit, I assure you it comes filled with Wolf Pride and gratefulness. All of your support has made the Banner Factory what it is today. Thank You All!

Did I hear a nomination for POQ, with the name LiLBaDGaL attached to it?? Count me in!! I'll second, third, and fourth that nomination. Lil has been the ultimate Representative for our way of existence. Her daily World Chat presence has honored and further developed the culture that we pride ourselves on. She is a great judge of character, and her recruitment efforts have yielded numerous Wolf-worthy pilots and new cubs. Kudos!, my friend!

The existence of the Wolf Pack Web and Facebook presence is something that could be discussed more.
I created the Howler on Facebook, Visit The Howler Here , and it fared well at first, but hasn't as of late. I set it up to have a place outside of the game platform for anyone to post pics, chat, or get to know our Wolves better on a more personal level. I included the GI's as well. The page itself requires no maintenance at all, so it can be dismantled easily, or allowed to exist as a separate entity for anyone wishing to visit. My thought is this...Leave it up for another month, advertise it in the form of a link on my signature or on our front page, and see if it gets any more interest and visits. If it doesn't see significantly more traffic, nix it, and move on. The success of any entity is determined by it's flexibility to go with the flow and accept changes. Consolidation is essential in order to maintain stability and organization. I'm all in.

...I know what we are trying to do, but its hard for me to understand multiple layers with regard to threads. I relate what I just said to this analogy, It's almost like our gov't (US gov't), lets create an agency to do this, and another to do that and another to do that, and so on and so on until the gov't gets so big, nobody talks to each other and there is nothing but a confusing mess with no accountability...

Myrlin I had no knowledge of the howler page on facebook however if that's the case I can easily dissolved the spruzz site as fb is the cheaper incentive by a long shot and I would advertise it in my signature as it can direct wolves who are not familiar with the forum and have another place to go and the wall of honour I can make simple and I have a few nominations on categories for some of the jr wolves that have impressed me I'm gonna nominate Arctic for best tactical fighter Doc Best team player how he arranged a few games and one sr wolf Dunc for best Bomber and I fourth fifth sixth lil as POQ

Myrlin, I think the banner factory is very important and requires it own thread as it is useful to other squads besides our own. I also like the FB page, I for one have not been there just because of my personal life over the last year. But I plan to visit soon.

Here is a quick thought, Maybe we can add another category on our main page under the rules section called, The Squad Info Center. LOL, I don't know about the name, I'm sure we can come up with a better one, but this will be a brief section with other squad information, such a additional threads, FB page, descriptions of such items and links to their location. This way Our Main Page is our Main page we use it as the primary source of information but we can link off to other things going on. Just a thought.

That sounds pretty do-able using links to the other places to visit, such as the banner factory thread and the FB page, and other pertinent information. I have already started trimming the fat as it were regarding some of the non-essential threads created under Wolf Pack, and will continue to do so as we debate which ones are staying and which ones are going.

Sorry all had a bit of a ban and lost 4 spots in WC after an encounter (actually 3 games in a row) with Sterlington. I tried to get Red assistance but it didn't come so after watching all blues but we two leave I changed tactics. Then was joined by VonKillner (spelling) who was taking him down as my ban took effect. I even filed a report at one point. Why is this guy still flying, I don't get it?

Was doing well when digger showed up and after he left reach 100 kills again but game crashed always happens when I want to get my screenshot of it so frustrating the crashing game problem needs to desist cause it is getting beyond a joke now as much as I enjoy the game the problems of crashing games losing con was the reason I haven't subscribed and is slowly making me want to leave for a long time sorry if it sounds out of the ordinary but it is frustrating that I want to share such a accolade in a single game but I can't so I understand how can you believe without the proof and I appreciate it this is what makes the pack stand out from most squads tbh I just wished I could get the screenshot before game crashes on me

Hope everyone is well. as a bit of news, without any blame to go around, I've left the Wolfpack. quality has given way in the name of unity with squads who let their members swear at people and cheat without remorse.

I for one wont be associated with that type of behavior; but when I called it out, I was told I was breaking squad rules. Despite being the 3rd member to join the WP, I was shocked to hear this. But, I still wish the best for everyone, but I practice what I preach and I don't bend the rules for the sake of keeping "friends"

I'm not getting this either. Could someone please explain what happened with werewolf. Also it seems I can't send or receive PM's again and Viper10 sir, Arcticwolf saw me in WC and said you told him to speak to me. We tried squad chat but I sport a dot and he's dot less so that didn't work. Next I suggested a PM but mine wouldn't send and I haven't received one from him. Am I in trouble? Or did I do something good? I'm in trouble huh? ( I was going to place something along the lines of checking her ID at this point but thought it might not be appropriate for all ages) so this post just ends here.........

This is a regrettable decision. I entered WC and asked you to not argue about a game with a certain squad. A well-known squad that we have had a long and good relationship with and has supported us in the past. I was not in that particular game that you were in and can't speak as to what happened. But I know venting anger for all to see in WC is not the way to handle it. Lil and I were both asking you to stop.

I was the one who reminded you that arguing and using foul language in WC is a WP rule. It's #11 on the first page! As a fellow Air Marshal, I asked you to PM me and vent and take anger out on me. I was willing to listen and be an ear.

Red, it's your decision to leave WP over one game. I'll say no more on the matter, as this is just a game.

Dire this has kind of cleared it up and I know you understand that venting anger is one of the necessary measures in life tbh I was venting my anger I took a few days away from the game came back of a fresh state of mind I don't know how long red has been playing for but I see the unity was there by dire offering to lend a ear and try to resolve a issue if I've got a problem with a pilot from another squad I will either pm or email viper or the squad officer of the squad but then again there's 2 sides to every story I wasn't in said game either but it is reds choice if he has left he may feel like it was the wrong decision he's done
