Just a suggestion for those that might not know how to use forum if I can vet HBs help with Spruzz on get Wolf Pack Spruzz in my signature going properly and having it edited and we can only get so many atm on there but I am hoping to.with our crest in the background or relm of the wolf pack on it we could coordinate a system for digger and viper to post to all AM's and our flight instructors to have a place to correspond with wolves in a private manner then I am aiming to get the unlimited package for it can make more than one admin for the site also just a slight suggestion for it

I was just in a game with SCHOFIELD, he wears the {WP} badge and is not a wolf. I asked him to remove it and he called me a bitch. He also said he was once in our dumb ass squad. Well, if he was in there is a reason he no longer is and NEVER WILL BE. He is not welcome in the Pack. As far as I'm concerned I think all us wolves need to show him a little wolf love.

Let’s talk incentive first. To make this work in the most efficient way possible it needs to make pilots want to come to me, rather than the other way around or at least that’s how I see it. The best trainers of people in anything are the one’s pursued by the masses and while I’m not anywhere near the best flight trainer (which is probably why I’m not being pursued), I would like to present the image that I’m at least running a close second.

The above link is to a banner-add-on that I asked Myrlin to create for me that might be that little something extra that will do the trick. It will be added to the banners after a pilot meets with a flight instructor. (Not just me)

Now I’ve been trying to figure out exactly how to go about communicating with those who don’t use the forum and I keep coming back to the Squad Chat found in game, in the world chat link. As I understand it a wolf with the {WP} moniker can communicate with other {WP} wolfs but not with those sporting {W.P}. Although a single squad but with different hunting groups, the squad chat function recognizes the different hunting groups as different squads rendering communication between them on the thread impossible. However, lately I have seen the chat of officers such as Viper10, Lilbadgirl, and Deliwolf even though they possess the {WP} and I am {W.P}. If a way could be figured out (something which I believe already exists but that I’m not privy to) to make possible communication between the flight instructors and wolf pack members by way of this thread then we could communicate with pilots who we might not otherwise be able too. Maybe someone could send a little more information my way on how this function works and how we might best take advantage of it? I believe that the squadron’s higher officers can communicate across the hunting group barrier, how about flight officers as well?

Larry this is why I created a website using spruz.com in my signature I hope to proceed this from a basic package to a full package so all wolves can have a way to communicate in a more private squad manner I am trying to edit it in such a fashion it works well for all I know there's a support for the service on there I know not every wolf will be able to help with this but I hope as soon as I've got alot of my business website and that created I'll be able to focus on the squad website if viper or digger wish to have a look at it I'll happily show them it

First, let me say there is a ton of topics flowing. Hard to keep track of, but I try. I have two points: one is recruiting, the other is our problem of copy cats.

Point one: during a game if you witness a person worthy of what I consider the honorable title of wolf pack recruit, please have them go to the string labeled recruiting office. They should also request entry by the game set up request button. Those with authority to add recruits should be reviewing the entries in the recruiting office link at least once a week.

Point two: There are many sporting WP, if you find out they are not on our roster, do what you can to chase them out of the game and report them to the squadron. I have personal list that Includes all those I dislike.

I have no problem killing imposters red or blue. I also will antagonize on in game chat. For those who never witnessed my skill in that arena, you miss a great show. Schofield just got added, they don't call it a hunting group for no reason...

Some of those imposters may have been on our roster at one time and booted for inactivity, which is the primary reason folks get kicked. My policy is that if they were a wolf and kicked for inactivity alone I have no issues with them rejoining the pack. Real life should always come first. However, there are also folks out there who are true imposters or disgruntled because they got kicked. By all means it should be open season on those folks as navmed has stated here. Schofield is a good example. I don't know why he got kicked, but afterwards he became a bit nasty and should be dealt with accordingly. I guess what I am saying is try to get a feel for where the imposters stand and use your best judgment.

Also I agree wholeheartedly with navmed, lets start using the recruiting thread as much as we can. It will definitely help us track the new guys and gals. Its a great tool if we use it correctly.

Good point. How would you recommend we consolidate our threads?

I'm not sure how many threads there are , but if we have the new recruiting thread and our main thread ! make the recruiting one with the question and answers , straight and simple to find the answer, we can change the question every month or something like that

I agree with the blur of confusion. Honestly, I think we need to focus on our main page and recruiting page---I would suggest putting answers on both of them. In addition, Myrlin's page is a must for obvious reasons.

I see we have a command structure and designated roles approved by Digger and Viper. Let's stick with it!

Blind had a great idea for getting folks to our main page, Larry can work on elite flight training, Lil is great at finding new recruits and is the voice of Wolf Pack and Navmed's recruiting page was a real draw not that long ago and will be again.

Keep it simple, fly with honor and they will come to us.

Simple is best. Digger didn't really get onboard with the Den thread even, so let me throw this out there. Main page, including wall of achievements (formerly wall of honor). Lose the nominations and whatnot to eliminate popularity contests and stick to medals for achievements. (10K kills, 1000 hangars, etc.) and a recruiting thread for general info for new pilots etc, just like navmed set it up. Mylin needs his banner factory, so that will be three total threads. Dire, the den stuff can go on our main page so that eliminates that. Deli, the wall of medals can go just after our first page, so that eliminates that. LiL, you should keep track of the recruiting office since that is your position and you are without a doubt the best recruiter we have. Three threads total seems to me to be plenty to keep up with. Less confusion and only what is needed. Ill scrap the pilot of the month and quarter thread since we weren't using it anyway... (I wanted LiL to be POQ for the second quarter, 2015... do I hear a second?)
With links to various other things on our main page we should have plenty of places to post and have fun.

I have always been in favor of keeping it simple and as the Squad grows there will only be more of everything to keep track of. This is the main reason I never felt strongly about the Den thread as Viper mentioned. I for one do not want to read several forum threads to keep up with whats what, I want to fly, kill reds and enjoy DF as an escape from the real world for a little bit. This thread, our main thread in my opinion, should be used for everything with the exception of the Banner Factory and possibly the Recruiting Thread. That being said, I am not totally sold on the idea of a Recruiting Thread as I see potential confusion with this. So that I can pass solid judgement on how we utilize the Recruiting Thread I need a good understanding of how it is intended to work. As far as some of my concerns they are as follows:

I don't like the idea of us recruiting new pilots and asking a question as part of our admission process when new recruits have to get the info from this thread in order to pm their answer but yet have to go to a recruiting thread to submit a request to join. Confusing for new recruits. Don't get me wrong, I like the question idea

It's not just admin that have to check in on the recruit thread, all wolves need to check the recruit thread to see who might be interested in joining our Pack or if they have recruited someone to see if that pilot actually submitted a request. Again monitoring multiple threads.

After all, even though a wolf may not be an admin, he or she still might know a perspective recruit and have info to share whether good or bad on such recruit, which I assume will need to be posted on the recruiting thread. As we are becoming more selective with regard to new Pack members and we are asking input from our Pack members on new recruits, are we not in a sense forcing us to have to monitor 2 threads?
I for one do not like to be forced to do anything and not for nothing, the strength, cohesiveness and livelihood of our Pack not only lies on our current members but our new recruits. I know what we are trying to do, but its hard for me to understand multiple layers with regard to threads. I relate what I just said to this analogy, It's almost like our gov't (US gov't), lets create an agency to do this, and another to do that and another to do that, and so on and so on until the gov't gets so big, nobody talks to each other and there is nothing but a confusing mess with no accountability.

Not too mention, we are a Pack,a Family and all wolves should have some say in who is family and who is not, not just decision makers. Ultimately,in order to be in the loop and have say, we have to monitor 2 threads. It takes long enough to get caught up on this, on our main thread.

These are just a few thoughts, maybe I am way off, which is why I would like a clear understanding before I pass solid judgement. But, as you can tell from this post, having a recruiting thread really must make good and clear sense.

POQ = Pilot of the Quarter... it is an award designed to be given for meritorious achievement over a three month span which would generate 4 possibilities for Pilot of the Year. Clear as mud yet?

BZ is a navy expression which translates into "Good Job", "Atta boy", "Well done", "Congratulations", etc. It is kind of informal and pronounced "Bravo Zulu". I am not aware of the origin.
