Whoa ,that's one I've not had the pleasure of,a little eye opener ay? I know that bridge, apache trail. Great ride there, being from the east coast riding in AZ was a childhood dream come true. Ever since I watched Dennis and Pete riding across the river at Needles on the silver screen .I was just in awe the whole time I lived there .It's still one of my favorite places .The world is a beautiful place .I know what your saying about having your head in the clouds too,I still amazed and grateful I was able to do that in the little window of time that we are living in.

No to the shovel, and the one I described in the story wasn't mine it was parked outside the shop.. Funny thing though, since I've been thinking about turning my schnauzer on top a mesa into the center piece for a three piece (add a cross and pistol padre on the bottom rocker with wolf pack over the top) tatt, I've been thinking about getting a life list.. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, but for those who don't have the motor company on their skin ( you normal folks out there) those of us who do often have a life list of the bikes we've owned tattoed somewhere on the upper arm.. All of my ink is old now, but a good artist can add a little water and get a faded look to sorta "match"

Night good going on the Shovel, is it a generator side case or a cone alternator.. I'm on number seven, one ex police FL, two super glides, and the other four including the one im on have been sporties.. I've sent pics of my current to Vipe and Squeak its done to resemble an old WLA flat head.. Old style larger front fender with ammo box panniers.. Superglide gas tank, and olive drab paint with white stars.. The drag pipes have been wrapped and all other chrome blacked out .. It actually came out pretty slick.. I can send you pics if you pm me a text number.. In retrospect I could have just said that instead of a paragraph that bores people.. Sigh.. When my Pard gets bored he creates.. I just bore.. I'm heading back to the bench..

In edit .. I was going to write this and it slipped through.. Both Viper and Squeak also ride.. Squeak does MAJOR miles on his Harley, Viper (covers eyes) rides a BMW, but it's a boxer and of course the way to go if your ridding German

Pard, I'm not bored by your antics and reminiscing with 9k. I was only a bike guy when I first got out of High School. I had a Honda 750 Nighthawk as a first and last ride,that I saved almost all the way through high school for. Unfortunately, watching my best friend lose control on a wet slow curve, and proceed to be an ornament on an Oak tree changed my attitude and "let's ride" mindset. I parked the bike in the mountains of Seven Lakes Drive, NY, barely 3 months old, left the key in the ignition with a full tank, and walked away. I never got on another bike. I admire them for sure. In fact, I hang with some hard core bikers. They've tried to talk me into getting a bike. As much as I loved the open air, wind in my face,freedom, I still prefer to live vicariously through them. Since those days, I've only indulged in the 4 wheeled variety types,lol. More power to ya. Thanks to both of you for sharing your experiences.

right on Blacky I'm not surprised that you're resourceful enough to bring a bike back from the dead. It's way more satisfying then just buying one from a dealer or from someone else that's already running. .I know the one is a Yamaha the other two look like Hondas what models are the Hondas?

ty brother night man I got that Yamaha in two toats full of parts bro got them all cheap cause they thought they was goner bikes lol got more pic ill post later but the top red an silver café racer lookin bike is a 72 cb 350 .... the red one I saved from the woods been there since 84 lol an polished the moter with gojo an a tooth brush lol they all took a lot of work but u said it bro I loved every min of bringing em back to life bro but the red one is a rare ...think only made em 2 years ...a 74 cl 360 k 2 cyl ...... the Yamaha was a 82 xj 1100 4 cyl 4 carb 107 hp with the ycis or yics ???any way heads wur ported together lol to cync carbs u had to cork the ports to get the right vac on 1 carb at a time lol but man shaft drive about 800 lbs 5.5 gal tank ... it was a beast bro big strong an real real mean lol .... my last one I call my grease bike lol looks like from the movie grease lol ..its a old 69 Honda sl 175 endero lol ill find a pic an post it to brother ... but im a monster bike head also guys

Having a tad of UTI so decided I'd "reward" myself with a shooter of fore mentioned good stuff.. Wow is it good.. G is out at Walmart and I. Ive always liked Yamaha's, and while ive owned Hondas ( including a super little CM400 that took me bike camping all over AZ..I had both a 650 and an 1100 XS that was super fast and outside of two other HD's the only keepers I wish I still had..NIGHT..yeah brother I know what you'rea on the 80 wheels and (my favorite) the 78,, I love the fork gators on your scoot.. And of course there's only one color for that bike.. Black.. It's a beautiful machine that I sure runs as good as it looks..and it looks right!

What a wonderful thing this game is.. I hadn't played for awhile,and when I loged on today my whole evening changed from average too wonderful..what a great way to spend our life..I feel sorry for those who dont havethesimple things in life figured out..see ya up there!!

padre my bro I kno I havnt but man I miss bike talkin with fellow riders bro that's why I said to u an night heck no don't stop chattin about scoots bro motercycles hav always been a deep passion of mine ...had a lot of Hondas to myself man ...I lov hd but always had a fam an house payments and for years I did it alone no help cash wise so never could really afford a Harley but dream of it lol but the rice grinders hav always been very tuff an cheap for me lol like I said the red an rare cl 360 k the red bike man gave a hundred buck for it was in the woods propped against a tree since the guy bought it in 84 lol wheels wur locked up an handle bars wur to engine wos froze up ....not locked up lol an had to drag it to my truck ...but after tons of lov I took all the vaulve ports off an carbs plugs .. one had to drill out ... and wnt to store an grabed 3 cans of penetrateing oil an filled up every hole in it did this every day and the 2nd day started tapin an kickig the kick start after almost a week it turned over lol I flushed moter out good and first time I kicked it over had great compression an I knew it was on then lol long story short almost 2 weeks had probs getin fire to the points an by that time bike was in full tear down mode lol last I did was trace wires all way up to the switch ... and seen the old spring it the on switch was rusted into a fine dust lol .... shoulda started there ...duh ,,,,, put a new spring in it an boom it was alive lol road it for a year when my truck went out ....... lol ...the big bad 82 1100 was a cool bike also mine was xj but the xs when it came out in 78 was fastest production bike in the world an xj was the beefy younger brother to xs .... xj was first tear drop style tank an seat an had ignighter not points an electric ignition with ...cant remember the name was like yics pakage on it that heads wur ported and biger fire biger carbs an an much dang sencers than a car lol ... specs wur 107 hp at 8900 rpms an toped at 148 mph lol I loved bringin that one back from the dead lol ....!!!
