I've been internally debating about this for a while but now I have no choice. Apple dropped support for all older devices so any new games that come out won't be able to run on ARMv6 devices.
What this means is that you will need minimum an iphone 3gs or similar specs to be able to run the next releases of Dogfight.

The easiest way to find out if your device is higher than ARMv6, is if you are able to run iOS 4.3+ so for clarity a table:

ARMv7s = iPhone 5
ARMv7 = iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod 3G/4G/5G, iPad, iPad 2, iPad 3
ARMv6 = iPhone 2G/3G, iPod 1G/2G

This change will also affect all Android devices since I can't keep up 2 separate line of code and Android is also debating about this change.
Basically devices over 3 to 4 years old or new but "low end" devices won't be able to run Dogfight.

On the positive side, this gives me more room to add new features that requires more powerful chips.

Just was in my first game with Dianne. Did you guys know that she's pretty good? Good in the air and as a soldier. Holy cow. Really, I can't believe you guys didn't mention her sooner! (that's the sarcasm icon...so don't yell at me).

I did get lucky and shoot her down while in a parachute (1 guess as to who got me). I jumped in a tank and I hear the shells hitting it from her soldier. Bombed her with the tank and her soldier went flying. I'm not sure I've been more happy playing this game but for that moment!

Also ran across "yo o o" or some such. Very good as a wing commander (shot down Dianne once or twice). Figured it was Slender.

I asked and she said it was a VERY young girl. Geez...we are too old for this game!

Hey, I was just wondering who Duckwing4 was. I was in a BTB with him yesterday on opposing team and I never was able to beat him at head-on. Whoever it is, is an EXCELLENT shot!

I think it was 4. Did you see me in a BTB game yesterday? I am pretty sure it was Saturday but, may have been Friday night.

Edited to add that I leave MUCH to be desired when it comes to head-ons.

I'm relatively old (44), and have been known on occasion to be mean. I think I would make a good addition to the team and would love the chance to join such a prestigious organization. I can say there is nothing worse than flying over a ridge and coming face to face with a wall of planes bearing the MOM insignia. (Please don't make me do that again..) I've been thinking about trying to get on with a squad for some time and MOM was at the top of the list. (the list was only 1 long). Zandor said I should check you guys out and I'm glad I did. Anyways, I should save some of my a** kissing for use at a later date. I appreciate your consideration of my request and look forward to your response. Just some info on me: I'm from the Chicago burbs, married with three little ones, a carpenter that does residential remodeling, ride a Ducati, surf Lake Michigan in the winter (no bs!), and have been lucky enough to fly a Piper Cub and Tomahawk, a Cessna 152 and172 and a T-6 Texan which is a ww2 fighter trainer. I hope I make the cut!

On a side note, everything being said about Dianne is 110% true! She flames me at least a dozen times every time I come up against her. I think I'm 1 for 50 against her

Steve/Oed, feel zero shame in getting pummeled by Duckwing4; it's Samweb. Shortly after B changed to Duckwing2 and I went with Duckwing3 Sam asked what all the duck was about. The moment I told him about Jon he dropped out and suddenly "Duckwing4" dropped back in. This is a gentleman with a lot of heart and compassion, lemme tell ya. He was very clearly moved by the news. On that even shorter dream-team short list I maintain in my head he's M.O.M recruit #1. They don't come any better.
