Sputnik, it's a lovely thought. Fly as Ducknik for as long as you feel is right, then get back to the business of being Sput. We lose people along the way. I'm sure Jon would be touched by the sentiment. But I would be saddened to permanently lose our "Sputnik" here. Just one Wig's opinion my compassionate young friend.

As a tough old bird, who has lost many friends, I find the response amazing. Someone has touched all of us here so much. I discovered I cannot fly here with all the tears. Not just my tears for *MOM*HEIDI, and my tears for Jon's relief, but the tears that come as I realize how much everyone cares.

Did Jon & Heidi get married? If not...we have to do major things for his true love. She should never want.
She took care of OUR hero, now WE take care of her. She will not get his VA benefits as he wished. WE can make his wishes come true.

Just want to say a Big Thanks to such a classy outfit - the 111th. Was just in a game with Jeramy, G Money, Sparetacus and coolhandluke. They were beating us pretty bad - kinda the norm for the 111th. G Money passed along his condolances about Duck, and just like that, y'all stopped playing, landed on our field, and then proceeded with me to Duck Mountain to honor Jon.

Awesome.

I just received the word that our fellow pilot and friend, Duckwing, was just mustered into the ranks of mine and his brothers in arms eternal. Although my heart is heavy with grief, I wish to post this to a fellow soldier, his family and friends...

Talked to him on the 30th. He told me they got marred the Saterday before. And that he had finished all the papers with JAG.

Just jumping on the forum. Ran into Kevy earlier and he said how Duck had passed. I can't say I knew Jon .. ran into him in a few games, tough fighter .. he was a soldier who fought for us ... we shall honor him.

Just a thought. Scheibe you mentioned Duck's comment "If its FLYin it's DIEin" in an earlier post. What do you think about making this as our official MOM motto or incorporate it some where, like make it rule #6? Again, just a thought. Anyone else want to chime in. Thanks.
