You guys are always absolutely welcome here... We just don't do squads. As I said earlier, no one has ever managed to get their squad locked up b4, so I made an exception. I'm not mad at all about it.

I hope you guys get it all straightened out and back on track.

Totally understand. I just thought I'd provide temporary housing that can either be sold to help rebuild the Loony Bin, or improved to become permanent housing. Do as you want with it. It's a gift

For what it's worth, when Richy came up with the Loonie Bin squad, I thought it was brilliant and told him so. At the time, between LB and Enjoy, I thought two terrific groups were about to form.

One thought for you Loonies. Do you really need a head loon? Don't the "inmates run the asylum"? A few simple up-front decisions by you guys on where your clubhouse will be, and I think you're in business.

At least it would be an interesting experiment. Actually, Inmates Running the Asylum is supposed to be a derogatory phrase, and nobody in their right minds would EVER do that!

Boy it's definitely BBQ season. Here in the UK it's just too hot! I suffered a heat stroke today. Blacked out in the sun :(

Jacob, you are our staff liquor expert, remember? Tell me what kind of rum to buy and I'll order several cases. I'd love to fire up the BBQ tonight. If we can get either Parrot or Big Tex to run the pit tonight, that'd be awesome. If not, then I'll do my best. Last but not least, Mr Sauce, you aren't supposed to cook yourself sir, even if you are named after a favorite ingredient. Have a few extra Gatorades on me.

Today, I went mountain biking, a 40 mile trip, and I was dead at the end of it, but the highlight was the fresh blackberries, at this time of year, the wild blackberries are ripe, and they are everywhere.

We just picked em off the bush and ate them. Fresh and pesticide free. Any of you good at making blackberry pie?

I feel ya. Instead of driving 2500 miles per week like I do at work, I drove 3000. Oh well. I had a great week.

Remember? Don't you think that's a lot to ask...considering my condition? Ahem!

Anyways...to the rum...I'm feeling cheap so let's have some Admiral Nelson's finest.

This one was a trail in pocohantas state park (did I spell that right?) although, I sometimes do ones around lakes near Charlottesville.

I posted it on Funny Farm thread, but here it goes again:

Jacklpe wrote:
Ped... One of these days when everything settles down, I'd love to be the subject of one of your cartoons. A Jackalope in front of a run down bar with a rusty ship out back and a few planes parked out front...

Anyway, it doesn't hurt to ask. Your work looks professional to me. I am surprised that you don't do that for a living.

I make some money from my sketches. I used to make drawings for CD cases, book covers and magazines, when I was single. But when I got "old", and was about to get married, I needed some stability (with drawing you can make good monye, but you never knows how it will be the next month...).

I work in the City Council Chamber, what pays the milk for Laura. But I still make some cartoons for newspapers.

About making you a drawing, I won't promise it. What if everybody in the forum asks me so? I don't have time for it. And I can't charge you for this, so if I make some drawings, it need to be for free.

But considering the fact that I already drunk soooooo many bottles of alcohol-free-beer on your bar (not mentioning that night I spent locked inside it, do you remember?), I will find some free time and make you a sketch. Give me some directions via PM.

Edit: Leaving and LEARNING... I've never heard of "Jackalope" before. And I always thought that your nick was Jackipe, with an "i" instead of an "L". And only now I saw that your avatar have a jackrabitt with antilope horns (jack + lope... geez!).
I am makine some research on the net about this folkloric personage. ;-)

I will make it, Jack, I was only preventing people to ask "make one for me" every single day. It happened on a brazilian forum two years ago, and I regreated promising it to many members... lol

Just wait some days. It will be a pleasure!

Edit: Quoting your request, Jack: "A Jackalope in front of a run down bar with a rusty ship out back and a few planes parked out front."

Jackalop - check;
rusty ship out back - check;
few planes parked out front - check;

The only part I didn't get was the "run down bar"... Tried google-translating it, no success. What means "run down"?

Edit 2: Thanks Blue Dane, for explaining what "run down" means: old, tired, in need of repair...
