Well there goes my chance to say that But Gunzz well what can I add lemme think oh its been covered and oh yeah don't take a game as life enjoy the game win or lose so what if you lose the game just oh and really farming points by dropping that is the lowest of low most will associate one name but then when your with them your thinking lovely easy win for us but at least do that in a game with players that can keep up with you if anything then do it but allow the noobs a chance to get to grips with the game ctc ctf and df games by all means drop then but think do these noobs want to be stuck in a dogfight in tier 1 planes against a top tier plane that has 450 bullets compared to there 50 or 100 bullets that you start with been to long since I used a tier 1 plane lol

I think you cheap players have it too easy. I think you should all have your stats erased and have to start from the very beginning, stats, ranks, planes, and all. (Sincerely) The trouble with holding on to it so tightly is that you may be mistaken. Who is the infallible judge who will ban "cheap players". You might want to stop by the "unofficial Dogfight law library" in the NLR section if you're into reading. So many judges, so impossible to come to a resolution that allows people to "just play the game".

Look, even your acceptance of FOR is "cheating" by someone's standards. All you need to get an earful and on someone's hunt list is to come across another player with your level of conviction with different values about sneaking. There are many here who would love to tar and feather sneakers. Your philosophy is a recepe for more of this same endless debate.

Really, what other solution is there to make it so people can just have fun? It just does not work to say "well, if everyone just flew with respect...." because "respectful playing" means different things to different people. I would have ventured to think that people could generally agree that bashing and berating other players is "game ruining" but I'm really not so sure. I mean you're not a bad guy but by what you said above you certainly seem willing to tell off someone for not sharing your style.

I know first hand about accusations and how they are so often inaccurate. My flying style is all over the place. I get accused of dropping constantly whether I have or haven't. Truth be known, I rarely do in a bombing game but people misinterpret my posts and think it mist be the first thing I do in every run. Lol. I got so sick of it I left my original squad and joined one that embraces free will flying.

Anyway, you may have missed this post from slyguy. How much nicer would have been to have a community with more tolerance and humility rather than a bunch of rabid complainers/whiners/bitchers...

The way I figured it I was outnumbered 3 or 4 to 1, even if on paper I had 3 on my team. So I win the game and log off.

The next day when I play I get abused by the Moraf in the game chat when we end up in the same game (he was a Misfit but I'll leave his name out of this), calling me a coward & scumbag, and successfully telling my teammates to quit the game, every game I join he quits if he is blue but not before continuing with harassment and getting the others to quit as well. Finally we are on opposite teams, and he spends the whole game dropping so he can shoot me down, abusing etc.... but then goes on to kill all my the teammates who are carrying bombs whilst he spent the whole game as a dropper (who's the coward and scumbag?)
Then to top it off I'm in another game later and one of my blues calls me a sneaker scum, I'm thinking who the hell is this guy, am I a topic on the world chat??? Pretty bummed out for a while

Anyway this is the first and only time I have sneaked in months, so the reaction to it got me thinking wow, is there a new rule I don't know about, what's going on in the forums? Searched the word 'sneak' and found this thread, and some of the posts made me think maybe the Moraf who hassled me is just a sore loser

I just read your edit Gunzzz regarding the Cheap Players list. I'm only in favor of the list if I'm not on it.

Seriously I'm not in favor of another list. Look how useless the blacklist is. Furthermore, look at the controversy that arises when one "complains" about flying styles? Or playing styles? Sometimes the argument is entertaining but after awhile it gets old...plus the same policemen keep showing up to take care of the complainers...as if it's their job to decide what one can talk about round here...almost as annoying as the complaining... I think a cheap players list will just create more arguments. But whatever...I don't have to participate in it if don't want I guess...

I see dirty play in almost every game...but thankfully I do get the odd game where everyone flies great! It's an awesome battle, with everyone bantering and having fun.

Those games I remember; the rest I forget. And I don't forget guys that play like dirtbags. Always a chance to get em back next time.

First of all I want to thank you for responding to this thread. I value everyone's opinion.

This is the very first thing that I state on this thread, "What I am about to say is solely my opinion and by no means does anyone have to agree with me". I mean exactly that.

From day one, until now, as I have come to learn this game I have seen cheap play throughout. If I saw it even as a noob there is no way that an experienced player doesn't see it too.

The only judge here is for each player to be their own judge. I will have my opinion of how one decides to play this game. I believe most players will too.

As for following through with a ban or any form of punishment, that is what I would do according to what I deem as necessary. The example being this. If I created this game and feel that there are players who are taking advantage of situations, yes I would ban them. That is just my opinion and it doesn't mean that it should be acted upon or even right. It is however they way I would handle it.

I do see that most cheap players simply don't care about how they play the game. They want to play how they want and that's that. Any and every style of play gets a reaction. Don't we say ns, gj, grats, and many other compliments to eachother? So why should it be any different for bashing someone when they use a cheap tactic?

Yes there will be some borderline scenarios of whether or not it is considered fair play, such as FOR (aka...sneaking). That is what makes every individual an induvidual. We all have the right to our opinions. Doesn't necessarly mean that we are right. When a criminal commits a crime they know there are doing something wrong and may pay the consequence, yet they will try to defend their action no matter what.

Same thing here. A player that chooses to use a cheap tactic also knows what they are doing is wrong. They too will try to defend themselves in anyway possible. That is hysterical to me. They need to be put in there place.

That is what a thread will be for. To bring up the scenarios that players have to deal with. I don't think it's losing a game or being killed that we have had enough of. It's these cheap players that I can't stand. I know that many will agree with me on this.

What happened with Slyguy is unfortunate. It's a shame that a player can not accept FOR (sneaking) as fair play, but once again this is solely my opinion and others do not have to agree. I explained why this tactic should be considered fair play by all.

You and I have had some great matches together. Why are they great? Because they are clean, fair matches. Lol...except when you think that I am lying to you about being invisible...lmao.

I too am fortunate to have these great games along the way. It really does ruin what a good game it could be when cheap players are there. There is no need for it and if they can't stop playing this way on their own maybe it's time we all do something about it.

What I have posted here may be a start to doing just that. Maybe not. It's worth a try and even though I know these issues have existed for a long time I will still speak up when I feel necessary.

I can't take a guy in the top 100 rank seriously who uses cheap tactics. Yes they are much better players than me and will have no problem killing me in the blink of an eye, but I still think they are a joke. Why should they receive any recognition at all. I am hoping this will simply expose not only these players but all. Where it goes from there I don't know. Time will tell I guess.

Personally I LOVE camping! And no, it's NOT the same thing as spawnkilling! It's camping.. it's keeping you busy over your airfield or carrier while my teammates are incoming. It's a totally different thing than spawnkilling. I let you up.. I let you drop.. I even let you start shooting at me or turn to come at me and THEN I KILL YOU! See? Totally different from spawnkilling.

As for dropping in a bombing game, well that's a choice.. I carry most times (unless the reds drop) but still it's a choice.. not a rule. And if newbs in newb planes wanna drop? Let 'em! And if a moraf like Bubi or Calle wanna drop & camp & spawnkill? Let 'em! As soon as I get in the air either I will kill them and/or then they'll leave the game.

Remember this most of all... it's just a game.

You really didn't read my original post thoroughly or simply did not understand it. I never tell anyone how to play this game. I actually do the opposite and tell all to play how they like. Just as one will receive positive comments for fair play one will receive negative comments for cheap play.
