From what's been said so far, it looks like the game of the future will be guys tear assing through the maps dropping & camping. When I started, the game was about simple fun with a healthy dose of etiquette, at least as I experienced it. The focus now appears to be personal KDRs & world domination. So be it. The community has spoken & I will respect that. It likes camping & it likes the freedom to do whatever. Camping is disliked in every gaming community & especially in the air combat games I've payed...i thought it very odd that this one would embrace it.

Anyway, the simple fun & comeraderie this game held for me is gone, certainly not because of a bull headed dropper, but for many reasons, topped by some of those who responded to this thread & the others like it. So I'm taking sound advice from another thread: if you don't like it, leave. Well, I'm leaving...I've already left the Misfits. I won't even be back to see if there are responses to this.

I had a stand alone thread with this announcement, but it wasn't as nice...glad it didn't post. I think it's fitting that it hides here, deep in the thread that helped lead to my decision. Actually, I knew it was coming just a couple of posts in.

I won't be missed. I'm a single drop of water in a very large pond and rain is in the forecast. Five more will replace me tomorrow, hopefully with a mindset more fitting for this community than mine.

Sir Tuck, my views and values mirror yours. I shall be here fighting the fight, in your honor. Look at the top 50, how many droppers are there? Just a few, and they will be pushed out by skilled players. Since I began playing, I've never camped, spawnkilled, or cheated in anyway. I fly with honor. I have no problem looking at myself in the mirror.

The irony:

I am receiving some arguing PMs and public posts about my opinions. But looks like my English is REALLY BAD, cuz I see that most of the guys think I am a dropper and I am a sneaker by conviction... Wrong!

I am, basicaly, a (bad skilled) head-on pilot, cuz I simply CAN'T chase. I can't aim at full sensitivity settings, so I play with around 80-90%, what makes me an easy prey even for noobs at chases.
And I (almost) always carry a bomb, cuz I like bombing missions (I just DON'T PLAY FREE FOR ALL!!!), because bombs gives me more fine tunning for aiming purposes. I rarely drop, although I drop when needed. And sometimes, I do sneak, when needed or when I simply feel like it - of course, not when my teammates are geting killed.

But what I tried to stress (and some people didn't understand) is that we should accept other players choices, because it is just a game at all, and they have fun doing it their way! It just doesn't worth making all these thousand posts of personal attacks and silly arguments about such an unimportant thing like a mobile game!!!

This thing is spoiling the fun of this game!!

Want a real example, with me role-playing the "rule-defecator"?

There is a player nicknamed Evermec, that plays very well, although being a noob (less than six months around DF). Some days ago, I met him ingame, and by chance I discovered that he is from Brazil, like me.
It was a bomb-the-base mission, and he was on my team, an even game (3 v 3 or so).
He was killing all reds relentless. Hell of a good shooter.
When I was approaching red base, I just said him (in Portuguese) something like "Bud, don't kill tanks".
He asked "Why not???"
I said "Only shoot tanks when they are near our base"
He said "?????"
I continued: "The more tanks, the less planes to fight on our bomb trip".
He said: "I just want to kill!!!".
I insisted, defecating rules: "You aren't playing for the team this way. Use your brain!".
He finally said: "Hey, you are a pain in the ass! I am just trying to have some fun after a hard work day!" or something like that, I don't remember the exact words.
I became muted. I realised that I crossed the line. I spoiled his fun moment, so he left. Minutes after, we met again in another server, and when he saw me, he simply left again.
I am ashamed by doing that. In the end, he is simply right: he remembered me that IT IS JUST A GAME.
I tried to meet him ingame to give him my appologies, no success. He doesn't use to go forum, I don't have his e-mail, so I am still waiting for an oportunity to say I am sorry.
Hope this clarify my point of view about all this dropping-sneaking-camping-freaking-neverending-thing.

I've been here a long time and for a long time I was very adamant against dropping ones bomb for any reason other than a hanger or carrier, I have posted thread after thread about my feelings and got nowhere, there are some here that for whatever reason think its ok to drop and some even to spawn kill and camp, Your not going to change their minds and I beleave they get a thrill out of these threads when they see their names posted by others complaining about their behavior. So posting these threads and bitching about all this stuff is nothing more than beating a dead horse and Ped why should he be allowed to spoil your fun just so he can play against the rules? Now days you will see almost everybody drop from time to time, even myself if I'm out numbered or that someone special is in game...ie General Drops A lot . Then I'll drop at my runway and go after........anyway..... We all do it.... We all will do it.... So let's move on... My 2 cents

You mentioned changing the settings. How does one do that? If I hit go to settings and then to controls it just shows me the layout of what keys do what. I recently had someone mention I should check my settings as my turns are wide and slow.

Did you change your setting through the Dogfight program or your devise's settings?

Thank you, but that is odd to me. I have nothing that looks like that under any of my control settings.

Looks like you play the Windows 8 version. If so, you need to change keyboard or joystick settings from control pannel options.

Hey guys good playing with you all. I like head to head fighting. Droppers drive me crazy lol

I really like the head to head action but I'm not very good yet, I need to learn how to shoot better. Maybe some of you all will have some pointers for poor little me.

Try aiming were you do not see the plane. I think everyone will appreciate it lol.
