Sorry wanderer, he is a tough customer, I played with him this morning and the one time I was able to hit him 4 times he did not die. He always drops and then he will camp. He is extremely fast and can turn on a dime. I don't know how he does it but there are a lot of postings and complaints about him.

I would like to see him go up against the general j or max to see if they can beat him. I know my ipad can't beat him yet but I'm trying hard.

yea my only chance was shooting him long range, once he was close he was gone, and I was down =[

Umm then your match doesn't count.. he is supposed to fly in a plane of the same type tier.. if u were in the Red Baron then he had to be in one also or else in the Nieuport XI..
Your match doesn't count if he wasn't...
The planes were supposed to be agreed upon in advance.

YEMX has made several good efforts to catch up with me. Please forfeit me this round. Real life got in the way big time this week. I don't want to hold up the works.

Should we really continue this?? I say NO since practically no one follows the rules as they are posted and were posted well in advance. Just under half of the competitors have not qualified for the score portion. Lack of effort trying to set up head to head matches and they are grouped poorly since only few actually sent me their time zone. No one signed up for help initially but few have stepped up now (thanks guys) but players are determined to make problems. Without real commitment by the community as a whole this can't be done. The head to head will take so much more time that the whole thing won't be done for like a month or more.

I will accept some of the blame since I made the instructions but since some figured out everything I don't know why everyone else is so lost and isn't asking for help. I thought this would be a cool idea for us to get involved in and as I said when I cancelled it before this world isn't a place to share and enjoy things any longer. Unless someone makes me see that this is going to different somehow it's over.

Sorry for wasting everyone's time since I should have seen by the arguing at the start this was a mistake. I'm sorry for those who did try their best and did follow the rules sadly 6 people don't make a tournament.

Well it's your tournament Whip, so you can cancel it if you want.. but even though I am out of the running I thought that many of the competitors as well as interested observers were making it fun & doing their best to go by the rules and/or help out..
But I know it's a lot of work scheduling and such.. perhaps just do 1 category of the tournament for 1 week each month concluding at the end of the year? just a thought...

Well, the bracket part was only one part of the tournament... We could still do the statistics part, could we not? I just don't want to see all your good work go to waste whip, I would like to see something come out of it. (Besides friendships)

I agree with big c,I think you should still do the stats.

But almost half the players didn't qualify..so that's like 13 players...and to me a tournament without some head to head type battle isn't a tournament.

I fully understand you, Whip, but even though I'm out of the tournament, I still intend to finish it and I think others will too. It's sad to see so many players drop out for different reasons, but I think the tournament should continue...
Let the remaining pilots advance to round 2! Should I have had the skills and luck to make it to round 2, I would have been disappionted to see it come to an early end.
If we quit now, it won't make it easier next time. Let this one be a lesson, and let's all learn from it...

Hey Whip I appreciate your efforts in pulling this thing together from scratch. It was something no one else had ever tried to do. Call this one version 1.1.0 and take what you saw that was good and move forward to version 1.2.0. I had a lot of fun and have no gripes. I might not have understood all of it but I still had fun. That's why we all play this game! Set up another one when you are ready and I'll play. Thanks again.

Still it made me play more than I have in 6 months. Will still be interested in my stats this week compared to my overall.

Well thanks for all the kind words and it lets me know it wasn't a total loss. Maybe when the dark shadow that seems to have hung over the forum and game for the last little while will be lifted soon and I will try again with much more structure and more players getting the word out. The major issue was participation, if we had a bunch of players we can swamp games with only tournament players and have no interference. Also I am thinking what we do is designate times and let people choose a slot that way the coordination works out a bit better. I will make another I just need to get it all up and running.

I will make you guys a deal in that who ever send in the final shots for calculations I will total the results and post them. That way you can see the score portion.

If anyone would like to be a helper for the next little while as I try and figure out what we need to do please post here or pm me. I just need a little time to try and swamp a server and other things like that...I guess you can be a member of the tournament committee and decide what the rules are for the next tournament.

I think head ons should not count, me and zebra, when we did our fights, we did turning fights, that shows who has more skill, anyone with a tablet has the advantage in a head to head anyway, so judging a game by how much he kills u shouldn't be the wa to judge unless its an earned kill.. I think the fight should be in a maneuvering way, people didn't kill people in ww1 by flying head long into bullets and hoping they killed the other guy first, they planned out the fight and made pilots fly their fight. I believe that's how it should be.

I agree and wouldn't mind lending a hand. I would also suggest a server strictly for tournaments...just a thought.
