Your attention for a moment, please, M.O.Ms:
It's now been months since Joaquin deactivated the moderators. I've been playing regularly ever since and I have been team-killed. Once. I've been spawn-raped. Once. I team-killed the team-killer and destroyed the tank rapist then went about my business. Maybe I'm forgetting another instance of being abused. Maybe I'm forgetting three instances. The point? It's forgettable. I couldn't remember the names of those few jagweasels now if my life depended on it. It simply isn't important. They aren't important. Unless someone makes them important.
It's just been brought to my attention that there's an effort to resuscitate the old T.A.S.K. project. If you'll recall, it was this that led our dear, departed squadmate, Michael, to quit Dogfight permanently. He realized that the line between the desire to enjoy some insignificant video game entertainment and the misguided need to mete out vigilante justice.had blurred for him and for some of the other people involved. He saw that it was unhealthy and not fun.
There is no necessity for "guardian angels" here, it's a little bitty video game. Self-appointed rogue cops not required. When I killed that team-killer? I did not need a cape and cowl or a batcave thread or a pack of watchdogs or a "list". I killed him, killed him again, killed him in the following mission, and eventually he suck-quit. I treated it like it's a game because it's a game.
The Misfits have implemented a squad policy of disassociating from TASK type fervor; I completely concur with their reasoning and fully support them, it's my personal slant as well. That's me speaking for myself, I've never told M.O.Ms what they can or cannot do, the choice, as always, is yours. I'd prefer that M.O.M have nothing to do with such stuff, but ultimately it's for you to decide.
I thought it just barely important enough to let you know where I line up.
