A breake along the road to let her out of car seat for a while.
The trip took 11h 45min including breaks.
She slept most of the way.

For some reason I've heard a lot of this dropper/dumber nonsense. There might have been a dropper on my team. Maybe because there was red plane over our base... But still, calling out the whole team for dropping?

Untouchable bomb button.

What's that hanging under plane?

Question, brother (and sister) MoMs...

Last night I was in a BTC. Now my memory isn't that great anymore (must be that mean oldness) but as I recall it was me and a lower rank against 5 reds who had some good players .. Buckgeo, Blue Max Stock amongst them. Before long my partner left and returned as a red, so 6-1. I was holding my own, racking up kills but the reds were still pushing through at times and getting some hits. However, even though I was outnumbered 6-1 and the reds were scoring hits in a straight fight, one of the reds (whose name I shall not mention) insisted on sneaking .... sneaking wide ... sneaking high.
Really? Sneaking in a 6-1? I called him on it and we got into a small verbal ... I mean, chat, tussle and I proceeded to take pleasure in targeting him after that. Buckgeo flipped to give me a hand (thanks) and then J joined also. Our carrier was at 10% so things were looking grim and then my battery went kaput :( so I don't know how it ended.
Long winded but what think .... sneaking when you vastly outnumber red ...strategy or weak?

I imagine some will call it strategy, since the object was to win. Fair enough, but as I said, the reds who faced off against me in a straight up fight were still managing to score some hits. It would seem that our little community norms are such that winning is not the end all. If it were, then spawn killing in a FFA shouldn't be a problem, right? I mean, if it's just about winning....

Anyhoo ... I was just torqued by that red and I shall add his name to the list of sneakers to watch for and shoot down with extreme prejudice

Weak. I know which player your talking about.

Dreadnought is famous for it and if you haven't played discoball he will too. Drop and sneak around to camp. Xyzzy is a perfect example. Had a few of the WU crew do it. These guys don't care if it is 7 vs 1.

xyzzy comes in high
Dreadnought comes in high
Discoball comes around the side.

Stock used to be a solid DF guy. Don't know what is up with him now.

I just like the next guy. Want to win! However I would rather lose with HONOR, then win at the cost of my DIGNITY!

I was not there for ether of the last couple of posts, I have been on all sides of those situations and understand the frustration from several view points.

Going up against droppers sucks! I have yelled out in the past to fellow MOM's (and other seasond players that play well with others) about someone's poor CODE or weak stratagy. I know it is at a frusterating moment and almost always comes acrossed different then it was intended.

Nothing that anyone did really appears to be wrong. It appears to be in the manner and timing that it was done at. I like a good brawl just as much as the next guy, but getting jumped by three guys and the one guy you where there to help takes off running..... Man that just sucks!! Ohhh (oopsy slipped into another story yup it's ah good one to, some other time).
Well hope that did not bother anyone, by saying something. Just my .00000005 cents worth, and only trying to help!

I heard a quote today that was something like this.
Is it worse to be talked about poorly, or not to be talked about at all?

MOM seems to always be on the tip of everyone's tongue! Right where the ladies should be! :P Damn, I try to do better but crap man. I just can't give everything that bothers people about me up!!! Life would be pointless!

I do hope you all have a great day!! Hope you all are "SMART AND SAFE" on the "NIGHT OF THE IDIOTS"!!!! Many here see the bad side of that night (yup ill be working it)!

Glad it finally made it Anders. I am glad they like it. Never too late to make a Texas fan! ;)

I had a hell of a time getting that stuff out. Weather, vehicles, more weather, middle of nowhere North Dakota, more weather, post office closed, on and on. So the packages were late.

That means you should have one by now too Mr. Jackson.

Merry Xmas.

The best thing about DF is getting to know all of you guys.

Gary have you given the new mini a real testdrive?

If your wife give you a hard time about the mini, you could tell her it's for a good cause :p
Tink needs an evaluation and comparison on both type of iPads.

Is the 4 gen iPads as heavy as the 2 gen?

I've used it several times now, but not for DF. I don't see the game EVER being installed on it again. She loves it and believes in heart if she lets me play DF on it, it will be forever lost like her (mine now) first ipad. I still prefer the full sized version for the slightly larger screen. I can't see you going wrong with the mini though. If I were going from a phone to the mini, I'd be very pleased. I'm just accustomed to the big one and would not want to downsize now.

The mini is identical to my gen4 and can do everything it does, just in (slightly) smaller package.

I do not know about gen2 vs gen4. I believe gen1 to gen4 were the same size and weight, but don't know for sure. I do think the quality of the display was significantly better in the 4 than 2. That would make a huge difference for the purposes of the game.
Fuck this place. Second rate hack playing in a yard that's too big for him.

The 2 has a much lower resolution then the 4.
After getting used to a highres screen its hard to go back. When the quit-bug gets to bad I'll play some on the old s2 but I have a hard time adjusting to the lower resolution.
Tried to play on an iPad 2 a few days ago. I felt it was heavy but I guess thats something you get used to too, but a little lighter would not have hurt.

Parrot, Good game today. I was flying along and noticed no one was around... That's been happening to me lately. I didn't leave you on purpose.... That sucked...... was a fun game....

How'd it turn out? I kept trying to get back in and finally ended up in a 7 vs 1... I held em off for a bit then Ktheo showed up... was a Grand game also... we lost as they kept sneaking.. I guess they can't win any other way.... I try not to get bent out of shape about it.... The thing that get's me is the GJ's thrown around when they bomb a hangar sneakin on one person.....uhhhhhh

Good game Parrot, The leaving wasn't up to me... Was up to the DogFight script God's.... :)

That's happened to me...a couple times..even by a MOM.

They only way I've found to combat several sneakers in a lopsided game.

1. Clear the front. Fly out and get rid of any reds coming up the middle.

2. Auto-destroy and return to base if you are too far out.

3. Take off. Drop bomb and fly to 1000 on altimeter. I've found this to be the perfect altitude. You see the high ones in plenty of time or you can get low or high fast.

4. Circle like a vulture around your base. Kill the sneakers and either auto-destroy or fly straight down and back to the front to get the ones in the middle.

5. Rinse & repeat.

It gets old, but if you do it enough the sneakers will usually peter out and leave. After that you can go back to playing the game and a little less defense. I auto-destroy often when I need to respond fast. The sneakers usuall get one in before I start catching them but after that I make it really hard. You can get there timing down after a bit and figure out where they like to come from. Straight defense sucks.e
