It seems the noobs keep getting cockier than heck these days. I was just in a game where this kid was trash talking Clay because he had no life and that's how he was so good at DF. So then I called him out and said something along the lines of "lol, butthurt noob" (I am a fan of the word "noob"), to which he replied something else along the lines of "not a noob. This is just a second account with a crappy plane."

So, either he's a lying noob, or he's a hypocrite. (He didn't seem to like it when I called him that either)

Alas, the game should have an age limit. Or at least a maturity limit.

Well I better get off my soapbox, Tad out.[/quote] Thanks tadpole. You had my back. That's cool. I don't even let that bother me. I use that as tackling fuel. He shoots his mouth off, I just shoot him more. I took a mental picture of his name and will go out of my way to destroy him in future games. A lot of players shoot there mouths off with out the skill to back themselves. Never works out for them. But thanks for giving him your two cents. That's why being in a squad is so cool. A brothers always got your back.

Well was in the middle of a great game with BS. It was me and B. vs. 5-6. They were getting um in on us but we made them work for it. I did a distract move while Brian made his way over taking out one after another (like a 9-10 kill run) and hit three hangers. Was great fun then Brian lost connection but made it back just in time for me to drop my bomb so I could get some air and try to fend them off......sigh....... Hit our last hanger. Winning another one for the Evil Reds......... Sorry Brian im still such a NOOB......

Not-Jeff, one of my favorite people on the planet is a little Geordie from Sunderland called Michael Algar, better known to the punk rock world as Olga, leader of the band The Toy Dolls. His songs are chock fulla local color from Sunderland, Durham, Tyne 'n Wear, direct references to being a Geordie, etc. Familiar with the lads?

Gents,
For what it's worth (probably not much)...I'm now proudly sporting the [M.O.M] banner over my aircraft!
So I guess it's official-- you're stuck with me. Suckers.

All the best; can't wait for squadron wars.

See you in the Killer Skies (reference Enemy Ace).

SB, have you read Enemy Ace: War Idyll, by George Pratt? Highly recommended.

Is it just me or are the servers ginky since today's update? I haven't been able to get into Festubert or Messines at all, when I try I end up having to leave the game altogether, clear the cache and start from scrache...and Vimy, while accessible, is painfully slow in loading and almost impossibly laggy. The new base buildings, the town, the Jolly Roger and the Mt. Duckwing monument are cool, the working carrier elevators I don't understand, and the new hangars can only be hit one per bomb as far as I can tell. I've seen three hit with one tank shell but dropped a bomb smack dab on the middle hangar and didn't touch those on either side. That would mean eight successful runs to win a BTB, not four. It'll cut down on hangar stats appreciably.

Who's seen/done what? Leave us compare notes.

Dunno about the servers, haven't seen anything different today. The hangars are going to be strange for a while, with upgraded people seeing the big hangars with big spacing, and un-upgraded players taking advantage of the old hangars with multiple bomb and tank destruction. I saw three big hangars taken out by someone who obviously hadn't upgraded. It looked like the Wall of Fire at the local airshow.

If you are lucky enough I recon it'll still only take four bomb runs. I managed to take out two hangars with one bomb.

The new size of the hangars makes them a lot easier to hit with a tank.

I'll second that. Except it doesn't take so much luck. Just put your bomb between two hangars and you'll get them both. It is big target.

Bad thing is my S2 is having hard time. It's like watching slide show.

Edit. Changing side doesnt work too well either. I went to Fes-server and saw Wig. Tried to change side but got disconnected repeatedly. I removed all the details from settings and tested my connection. It was over 10M but its still laggy as hell.

We genuine geordies live in Newcastle and support our black and white army.Folk who live in Sunderland are called Mackems.Dirty mackems at that and they support their red and white bottom of the table rabble of crap :) (football teams).
There has been some quality musicians from my home town.Like Brian Johnstone ACDC,Mark Knopfler Dire Straits. The Animals,Fleetwood mac.
Dire Straits have probably been more vocal about this city like down to the waterline(the quayside)tunnel of love(a fairground at our coast called Spanish City)to name a few.

I'm certainly not calling you a liar, Vesa, but I've hit those gddamn hangars left, right and center and have yet to get more than one per bomb. If I've tried it once I've tried it thirty times. Bomb dropped precisely, and I mean precisely, between two hangars. Bomb dropped dead center of the middle hangar. Bomb dropped on a direct line with the hangar row. Bomb dropped perpendicular to the row. Diagonal to the row, From low altitude, higher altitude, on fkn roller skates smoking a cigar. One hangar per bomb. You're the only player so far who's reported otherwise so you must be king of bombing mojo.

If squad wars ever become reality I'll do bombing with Anders. I don't know why it is, but I have yet to fail taking two hangars after update. Ingame or practice it doesn't matter. Only trouble is crashing on ground or buildings because of that huge lag close to hangars. It makes flying so freaking hard.

Wig,
I also got a double yesterday the same way Onsekone did. But I also got a TRIPLE, (came in diagonally and hit the corner of the middle hangar. At least the chat screen gave me credit for it, but I never made it back to see if three were really gone.

Was also in a protect the zep later and when I shot someone down the chat screen credited me with two hangars and two for the guy I shot too!

Maybe it makes a difference on type of hangars? One base has arched canvas and the other has rectangle wood structures. Only played a couple games, so have to check it out more later.

After you shot me down near the bridge I decided to "drop in" to the Jolly Roger (By chute lol) so I never made it back to the game!

See ya up there...

Skunk

PS: Put your best Hangar Man (Davy?!?) on this and maybe we can figure it out.

Wig,
No...I haven't read War Idyll. I think it's the only bit of Enemy Ace that I haven't read. To tell you the truth, I'm kinda stuck on Enemy Ace or anything that is remotely associated with the Red Baron. Have been since I was 8 yrs old. I still have a collection of old Unknown Soldier comic books full of Hans von Hammer. Check out the photo and you'll see what I'm talking about...this baby is hanging in my home office!

Highlight of a recent tour of duty in Europe was visiting von Richthofen's crash site near Cappy, France. (It was a potato field in 1918; it's still a potato field!) Also have visited his grave in Weisbaden, Germany.

I have an addiction...it's true!

Umm, I saw Davy making bombing runs on the Jolly Rodger and Duck's monument yesterday...and that's before he updated. I'm not sure he's our "best Hanger Man" for this. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Maybe SB467?!? :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

MAGIC WORKS!

Remove $$ to use. Use $$ to buy a fast boat. Slightly used.

Flying home now in an Oracle G-4. Sweet plane.

12 Meter (previous AC CLASS) Championship this weekend in Newport.

Need some rest. I've been going non-stop for 4 days.

Racing along side and behind those 72's was awe inspiring.

In talking with Larry, I think the next Cup will be more exciting.

I'm pushing him towards Newport, for the next one, with 50' foiled cats.

He owns a rather large house (read mansion) here.
Great crew house.
Trying to convince him to make it a HOME.
He has enough room for the team and their families.
The families are SOOO important in this sport. These guys are away from home, most of the time, for 4+ years. So, while they are working here for months, their loved ones can enjoy the beauty and friendliness of Newport, Rhode Island, USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!

(Remember: TEAM!)

This is how I PaRtY here in the DogFight Universe.

I take off..plan my attack by watching my TEAM....sometimes telling them to spread out. (My pet peeve. It's like watching a "campus slaughter house" in a horror movie! "DON'T GO THERE!"
Most of the time they don't listen.

I continue with my plan. 7-1 as the rookies quit (thanks TEAM!)

Yet, I have planned.
The lovely part?

As you come from behind....YOU never give up!

My story is yours. No matter the outcome...YOU are a winner.

(Going to tell the pilot to bounce us around so I can "feel" OUR Universe.

Thanks all,
Paul
