Sorry Clay. That was a great game. My pad froze up and booted me out. I got back in but on the wrong side. That was a record breaking game to. Ah well. Next time may be. Hope I didn't get you killed when I left.

And now a little something for my M.O.M

I actually asked this lady to let me take a pic of her shirt. She obliged and probably thinks it's the weirdest pick-up line she's ever heard. We're have dinner together Thursday.

Max and Noush, it's extra special for y'all. Notice the logo at the top.

Serial posting... Good grief... Sorry

Anyway, just looking at the top 100. It's a virtual who's who of M.O.M. Very impressive boys! On top of that I also notice a couple of other things... As I said before 6 out 10 of the top ten are M.O.M with Davy now in the #5 position. Watch out Wig here he comes! And secondly Russl22 (jackwagon) is off the list! To be forever forgotten in DF history. That makes my long weekend complete!!!

Ok so I was working aroung back at the creek earlier today. Well, let be start my story back farther.
Earlier this year I was doing some erosion controll at the creek and had a load of topsoil brought to me to help to build my side of the bank up. At first I planted some odds and ends to help hold the new ditd in place and after a while I guess some of the dormant seeds in the new soil started to take over.

One of the "weeds" I allowed to take over because of how fast it was growing and I wanted at least some root growth to aide in holding the bank.

Well around two weeks ago I noticed this weed was growing a very eye pleasing, trombone shaped, purple flower.

At the time I thought, man, I should know this from somewhere, it looks real familar.

Today I noticed the seed pods growing on them and knew exactly what they where.

100 imaginary points to who can figure out what it is. And ill give you a few more clues.

1. I'm not growing pot. So don't get stuck on the weeds in quotation marks.
2. You can smoke the leaves AND it helps you breathe easier. Imagine that.
3. If you grind the leaves up and mix them with lard its an old school burn remedy and also a very strong topical pain killer.
4. If you eat the seeds you may see smurfs.
5. If you eat too many seeds you may see the light.

Hope some of you guys know what it is. I may not be myself here soon.

Sorry Davy

Although withought the picture comfrey is an awesome guess. It has similar but weaker ointment values

I wish I could upload a pic. The seed pods have spikes on them and dry out and split in quarters. Also this plant, matured, stands about 4 foot tall

50 points for a good guess. Glad to see some old school remedies not lost.

Happy holiday weekend, y'mooks! Here's a special delivery from us to ourselves:

I could not be more pleased to announce . . . SB467, RoyMay...and a third new September-member of bigtime proportions (his skill, not his actual size fercrissakes) to be announced soon!

Happy Labor Day, M.O.Ms! Buy a cigar and have it on me!

--w--

Welcome to the firm, oldest/newest MOMs! Apologies for the delay of this obligatory message from HR, but here in the US of A the boys in corporate have been laboring to do no labor on this weekend of Day Labor.

On account of which, SB467 and RoyMay do not have to report to Human Resources, Room 6, at 0300 until tomorrow, for the obligatory simulation of a human sacrifice in front of a 40-foot-tall mechanical owl that speaks with Walter Cronkite's voice orientation seminar.

Meanwhile, since our oldest/newest recruits are experts at dogfight tactics and dogfight history, or what we like to think of as the Great Game (see below), they will be tasked with preparing a top secret dossier explaining the Great Game's finer points, for the edification of all MOMs ...

OK Mr. Technical terms. Ha ha. I guess when you have reached such a high level of googleism as yourself I will let the name pass. I had to google it myself so see that it matched up.

Jimson weed it is.

Party will be held at my house.

There should be no more people than what will fit in anyones passenger seat.

I have 7 growing here with pleanty of seeds.

Some sort of agreement will be reached upon eating the seeds. Once you eat them your on your own...

Leaves will be freezed before arrival for any and all scrapes, cuts, broken bones, ect that may present to be a factor for the next few days.

If the light is seen. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION HERE. You ate too many seeds. I'm not responcible for what goes down your throat. Please leave as soon as said light is seen and all will be well.

Rubbing leaves on eyes will not help this matter. Just leave. No leaf can help you

Sorry for any confusion.

Oh it lasts for a bit. Bring extra clothes

Cool! I just stumbled on that pic on the interwebs. Never owned the actual game. Hang onto it Wig, who knows, it may be worth something on the Antiques Roadshow some day. ... [Edit] not to say the game is an actual antique, heh. But from watching the show, stuff like that is mighty collectible these days ...

Wow I used to play that game as a kid. I was living in westchester calif, underneath the flightpath of the planes landing at LAX. The jets flew over around 500 feet. Iit was noisy but i have always loved it. I can tell how a plane flys, the science behind it in detail and yet when I see the big plane flying overhead im always amazed that it can actually fly.

The game for that day and age was fun, it brought back a lot of memories. A BIG THANK YOU.

Just a heads-up... I dropped mxmike a PM and invited him to come check us out and introduce himself. I first met him ingame right after the server split and flying as Coach Parrot in the little league server. I knew then I liked the guy. He's good people and definitely an up and coming fighter. If he decides to drop an application, I've told him he's got me as a sponsor. Y'all make him feel welcome when he stops by!

Just as a side note - when I type his name the iPad autocorrects it to Max Mike... I wonder if it's being prophet again?

Ok I was in a game with Dan-Dan earlier and i shot him down to close to his carrier in his opinion. He had already dropped his bomb and was in the air turning to attack me. He called me a spawn killer which i don't believe myself to be and am against other people doing it. This is some of what followed.... The last pic is him trying to shoot me (had break on) on the runway.
