Hey Blue I live in Pa. The gas drilling has slowed quite a bit. I live on the border of NY. They have been putting up hotel's like crazy. They bought up one of the old Airstrip's (Blue Swan, an old grass strip)and put up office building's and Maintenance shop's and lot's of equipment and water trucks....I guess they'll be back.....they're building for a reason.....
I cheesed myself on my gas lease also...
Its slowed a lot here now to. Supposed to pick back up and go wild west again this summer. It was crazy when I came here. I have been doing this for 20 years now and never seen work like this go on. It is nice to see. North Dakota is the hot spot now. Around Williston. People up there are sleeping in cars because there is no where to live. South and mid Texas to. It is still going strong here just nothing like it was. I was on my way to North Dakota. I hate the cold and snow though.

I still have a spot if I want it which is nice. Here today gone tomorrow kind of work. I sure wish I owned some land with mineral rights on it in one of these places. Better than hitting the lottery. We had a land owner not to long back. They drilled 5 wells on his land. I'm the go between when a land owner wants something done. He wanted his drive way fixed and some dead trees removed. He and I were talking and I asked him if he was excited that we were getting his wells on line. He said he was projected to make a minimum of $10,000 a month in royalties. Sheez!!! He said he was buying a brand new tractor.

Old farmer in his 70s. I was tickled. I would be sitting on a beach some where drawing my free money drinking mixed drinks with little umbrellas in them. to each his own. He was a nice old fella. I really liked him. Reminded me of my granddad.
