PH is correct...I'm not a M.O.M.
While not a member of your squadron, I do, however, enjoy reading the M.O.M. threads. The humor and support for one another make your squadron the tightest group in Dogfight...in my (very) humble opinion.
All the best, old-timers!
SB
SB is not being entirely truthful here. I remember what happened as I came into the squad right after SB. Here is the "true" story:
SB was a major player early on with the squad. Lots of posts on how he thought it should be run. SB was more militant (I guess you would say for lack of a better word) while the rest of the squad was more easy going. It was really Dogss and SB against everyone else at the time. What really set him off was the acceptance of Gaavster and FatBob. SB didn't think they would last and that they weren't serious enough to be part of the squad. Then there was his strong belief that the squad should always drop bombs upon takeoff and only spawn kill. That's right, fly directly to the other airport or carrier and just spawn kill. (I guess this just goes to show you how far things have changed since the early days of MOM.) I know a lot of the newcomers don't really understand the history of Rule 6 but these concepts formed the basis of Rule 6 originally.
The final straw was the acceptance of LD Dutchkiller into the squad. You see SB's real name is Lars Dukker and he is Dutch. Well, let me just say that the story is all played out on pages 17 through 25! There are some in the squad that believe LD Dutchkiller was really Wig just trying to push SB out but this has never been confirmed.
Anyway, I know that sometimes it's best not to revisit history but if SB is going to come on here and try to rewrite it...well, I just had to say something.
