Good question, Rich. My reference to the Flights happening in April meant "during the month of April" not "beginning April 1st". Sorry I wasn't clear about that.

I'm putting together a list of the names of the Flights and creating their insignia, mottos, etc. There should be roughly a dozen. I count approximately 75-80 members whose personal info we have. If you see your name on the Roster but your info isn't indicated, now is the time to post it or PM it to SheiBe Kopf or me. Members who have no presence on the forum will not be assigned to Flights. Some Flights will be small, only three or four members. Within the larger 10-15 person Flights there will be "Lines" a la Hockey teams. How members of Flights combine in Lines will be decided case by case as Squad Wars match-ups dictate. Or group yourselves up in Lines as soon as your Flight has been established. Do I look like I care? (I do. I care a lot. Caring is what I'm all about.) Thank you Jimboslice for contributing the "lines within flights" idea.

The original thought was to group members based upon proximity. There will still be those Flights. M.O.Ms Britannia, Mason/Dixon M.O.Ms, Lone Star M.O.Ms. But for the most part Flights will be non-location-exclusive. Assignment will be based more upon which fellow M.O.Ms you want to fly with, which concept/theme you dig, not so much upon where you live.

The Southern Fried M.O.Ms (Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee) are already working their membership out. Likewise some of the Brits. Lone Star M.O.Ms (Texas) will almost certainly form up.

Some First Generation M.O.Ms may choose to "Lead" their own Flights. This will mean that Big Tex, for example, would have the option of flying in BT's B-B-Q Circus (Tex's flight), The Delusional Dozen (original M.O.Ms) or the Texas Flight. Or all three. I assume that First Gen and/or Star Chamber M.O.Ms may maintain "dual citizenship" in more than one Flight. One of the perks of having survived this train wreck longer than the rest of you.

It would help to have everyone drop a note here indicating which Flight they'd like to join once I've posted the list. I'm striving for overkill knowing that some names/themes/concepts will be popular, others not. Flights that don't generate membership interest will simply be dropped from the list as we go along.

I'm going to post the preliminary list tomorrow. Here's a teaser:

W.M.D. - Weapons of Mass Dogsstruction.
Dogss, DIESEL, Cubanoloco, Crazy Nut, ZzSilentKillerzZ.

Dogss requested a flight consisting of the most reckless, dangerous, don't-give-a-rip members of M.O.M. Plus one other guy from Brooklyn. (I threw that in)

Happy Easter, Joe Bro!

Watch for the list, get your assignment request in fast, or take the Flight you're given and Ess Tee Eff Ewe. (apply for membership in a couple Flights if you like, that may even make the process easier to work out.).

Easter Sunday already! I've been so busy on this project I haven't stopped to check the news. Did Jesus see his shadow? I don't think I could handle six more weeks of winter...

Just played a good game with ymex and allen, not sure who else as i was busy busy busy, I think I was alone, not sure.

All i wanted to do was to take a nice peaceful fight in the countryside and the poop hit the fan. So just to let you know I wasn't being anti social or anything like that, I was just busy and i couldn't type much. Good game guys, it was fun. Lol lol lol

I played against a guy from BRAZIL,that was fun also. I told my "BLOND" wife that i was playing a BRAZILIAN on the Internet, her comment was "wow how many is that".

i can confirm the message from YEMX. Davy did really great and defended the base outstanding. The game changed to our side when someone sneaked up to their hangars and dropped a bomb and occupied Davy a bit

Good job Davy and good job M.O.M teammembers

with flying salutes

Hey I have a couple Roster Rooster questions.

1) ZzSilentKillerzZ/John/Brooklyn,New York, USA is grayed(greyed) I've seen him flying over the last couple of days and the wignouncment says he WMD M.O.Ms. Mistake?

2) SB467? M.O.M? I've never seen him flying the tag. Just curious.

Saw it in the theater, RB. In artistic terms it knocked me out. In "what it did for me" terms, it reminded me of living in the 9th ward in New Orleans. It reminded me of how lucky I was to be in the Upper 9th which got blitzed by Katrina like most of NOLA but nothing compared to the Lower 9th. It took me back to those neighborhoods that didn't, and still don't, look like they could ever be inhabitable again. The smell of mold, of the world having been underwater, will be decades in fading away. If it ever fully does. The strength and resiliency of the little girl at the center of "Beasts..." is indicative of what I found in everyone in the city. It's a spirit I've never encountered anywhere else and they're all quick to admit that it didn't even exist there before the storm. The notorious failure of the Bush Administration to do what was needed forced New Orleanians to either sink...or swim together, to survive. Those people owe NOTHING to the government. They brought that city back entirely through their strength of character and their innate love of their town and of each other. The film is undeniably bleak, and rightly so, but the shot of the children marching back into the "bathtub", unwilling to abandon the only home they've known, called up in me the reaction I had everyday in NOLA; a desire to embrace strangers in distress as if they were family. They are. Once you live in New Orleans you're regarded as "one of us" for life, and you're somewhat spoiled for anywhere else. It has everything to do with the spirit you see in those kids, particularly that little girl. That spirit is pervasive, they band together, bond, and essentially say "f*ck it, if you won't help us we'll help ourselves." The movie rekindled that sense of inspiration and indefatigable kindness I found. I was humbled by the warmth of the people of New Orleans. You don't have to have lived there to be moved on a deep, human level by the film. When Hushpuppy raises her arms and screams, she's voicing an inarticulate refusal to submit. Most of us should be so inarticulate...

Rick, you have answered a lot of questions for me and my Aussie mates. Was it about Catrina? Do people like that really exist in the USA? Is the Bath Tub a real place? The answer is that it doesn't matter. A work of art needs only to suggest. I was moved almost to tears, not by the narrative itself, but by thoughts of what the people of New Orleans endured while I complained about my electricity bill.

I just got a message from ALLEN apologizing to me for bombing me. I tried to return the message but for some reason it would not work. TO ALLEN:

How can I forgive you. You guys ruined my entire Easter. You guys kept coming, you wouldn't quit. It was relentless. It was brutal. Even now Im still crying. Also you cost me a lot of money!

I was so frustrated after your bomb hit that i threw my $ 700 IPAD on the floor. That really depressed me, I was so ticked i then threw my remote at my new TV. It was a direct hit.

You guys had me so busy that I did not notice the new puppy pooping all over the carpet in which I stepped on and tracked all over the house. Boy was my wife pissed.

I ended up drop kicking the puppy and yelling at the wife. Now she wants to leave me. On her way out the door her foot found the poop that was on the tile floor, she slipped, I think her leg is broken but that's for the doctors to say.

I believe the MOM organization should take up donations to assist me in my hour of need. ( it's hard to type cause im crying so bad, everyone in the emergency room is starring at me) Please ask everyone to give generously.

D, I appreciate you throwing the olive branch out. They'll figure it out. The great thing about being a M.O.M is that we are who we are. I mean look at me... Handsome, charming, witty, women want me, men wanna be me. If they hate on me for that, I can't help 'em. Don't sweat it buddy. We need all kinds to make up this mad world of M.O.M. Let me know who it is and I'll set 'em straight. Looks like I need to put my signature back.

I apologize... today only tho :-) dogss PH FM WIG and so many more my hats off to u all .

Kemer, I would not presume to speak for everyone, but as far as I'm concerned you have nothing to apologise for. You are one of those characters who's posts I look out for, because you think for yourself and say what you think. I was mightily impressed by a post of yours many weeks ago, which admonished MOM for bickering about trivia when there are people without food on the table. Don't stop. If you piss somebody off, that somebody is at fault - not you.

Flights idea sounds good to me. When I read assignment by location, I was a bit disappointed as it could be restrictive, but then I thought about time zones (though MOMs appear to be quite nocturnal) and checked out the Europeans and felt pretty good. Frankly, I don't mind who I fly with, but if you group Europe (or Brittania, which technically rules me out 'cos I'm in Switzerland), then I'd be more than happy ("chuffed" in UK speak) to fly with Ktheo, Allan, A-9101, Flying Muck, J4ff, Atilla, Dibley, Firefox, Butterfly, Jans79, Bellsaj, McCudden and Richy. If we extend the time zone to include Asia, then it would be a privilege to fly with Fark, Ender, Blob, Yakuza and Susi. If you can assign by skills, then I would prefer to be with a couple of decent dogfighters since it's not my strongpoint - basically it's too much effort to chuck the iPad about at my age....

Marko, maybe the common ground should be non-Euro (€) Europeans. Kroner, Franc, Pounds and Roubles. On the other hand, you didn't mention me in your list of potential allies so I shall ignore you until you have consulted with Richy. He will advise you of my credentials. He will also remind you that Switzerland's neutrality is only down to the fact that the British Navy couldn't find you!

MARKO99........Please find attached, Ronnie Biggs's credentials:-

Ronald Arthur "Ronnie" Biggs' (born 8 August 1929) is an English criminal, known for his role in the Great Train Robbery of 1963, for his escape from prison in 1965, for living as a fugitive for 36 years and for his various publicity stunts while in exile. In 2001, he voluntarily returned to the United Kingdom and spent several years in prison, where his health rapidly declined. On 6 August 2009, Biggs was released from prison on compassionate grounds.

Hope this clears up any confusion!
