is squad wars still going to happen as we have been limited with 50 members per squad, which is fine, if were getting squad wars.....

before many of us will spend any more $ on DF we'd like to know the game will continue to stay online and what the future holds, please just an update at least!

We are a very patient group considering, and I dont think a post every now and then to update your customers on things to come is too much to ask.

I am going to be 18 yrs old and I am from MALTA (an island found in the middle of the Mediterranean). I work hard at this game. I play everyday and I am nice to everyone. I always seek to give a good example in the game especially to prove that not all teens swear. i like being friendly and helpful to others, I also have real-life experience with managing groups. It would be nice to have a presentation from the island of Malta. Maltese people are known for their hospitality and tolerance to all who visit us and I strive to communicate the Maltese spirit to all of you. I am also a student pilot which I think allows me to understand and help those who have no aviation background to fly well and have fun. When I find games where players are 'misbehaving' I try to resolve the issue peacefully and with reason. I also do report those how seem to ignore all sorts of warnings given to them by pilots playing the game.

I know I am late to this party but I would like to throw my hat in to be a moderator. I am 45 years old and have been playing this awesome game for just over a year. I am on daily and several days for most of the day. I believe I respect the game and pilots respect me and I have a good feel of the game pilots want. I am currently world rank 55 and a Moraf and also share 2nd in command at Lafayette Escadrille. eastern US

Im curious if it makes any difference and it probably won't I'm curious if someone is made a moderator should they surrender their affiliation with a squadron so you don't have them with multiple moderators in a single squad if they wish to maintain a squad then why not let him join together as a squad of moderators just food for thought

I think it is possible to moderate with fairness and no bias, however, I also think with a squad affiliation there is the potential for folks to perceive squad bias in any moderator. Perception = Reality, regardless of intentions. While I am sure there are plenty of folks who are mature enough to be impartial moderators there are likely an equal or greater number of people who are not mature enough to look at a moderators decision and call foul, if that makes sense.

With that thought in mind I tentatively leave my hat in the ring as a potential moderator, provided the conditions don't include being independent. I would rather stay in my squad than moderate a forum, and I can certainly see the advantages to moderators not being associated with squads.

I remember the last set of moderators we had were mostly comprised of one squad and the accusations of foul run amok I would like to see that avoided this time around. it costs many problems and great strife among many players many of those players are now gone because of it I myself left for a while some have not come back yet I suspect some of those will not they were good people good friends good players and this was caused from just a couple of moderators

Yes i misspoke i should have said one or two squads where the favoritism seem to come from but not all the mods participated in such behavior.

Personally, I'm sceptical about how seriously zup is taking the whole issue. He launched this thread weeks ago now and has not been heard of since.
I worry about the entire future of df to be honest...

I would like to be a WC mod. I know you laid out criteria, but i dont think that means nearly as much as a responsible presence. Myself, i spend more time in WC than i do in game, as i stay less frustrated that way. Just my 2 cents, as something needs to happen here sooner than later. Goin downhill in a hurry......

I will get rid of trolls and free dogfight from trolls. I will make wc a better place and make this game a better place i will CHANGE THE GAME FOR THE BETTER. WE CAN DO IT WE CAN CHANGE THE DOGFIGHT WERLD YEAHHHH....

If required I would leave my squad. I feel that there are good people in each of the squads. I have respect for and friendships with a variety of players who have a variety of squad affiliations. I do not think that that the squad makes the individual, rather the individuals make the squad. I do not think what sqaud I am afiliated with would effect how players view me.

However, I have previously suggested a "Mod Squad" thinking that the appearance of favoritism should be avoided.

My vote is the old guys from before...... I think they did a great job, i would also add alfp brovo, he speaks the truth.....

I was going to through myself into the hat for WC mod, But Sir DcShoe would be much better at it then I.... I have an issue with the auto mute thing.....

BTW, Blow, as in blow up, and hell, meant as he'll should be reconsidered as muted able. ....

4) Tough so say about the Language, just simply put where human, and with rights. I advocate and usually apply good human. Now I did mention rights, but cautious and knowing you may think it but it's not always in good taste to share your thoughts. If your going to cus, know I can understand if the game isn't operating well it will certainly piss anyone off. BUT you took the time now to open the text box and share your thoughts- know they may not be received well. Again rights, just try to be respectful of others. Some would say people of all ages are playing, with that said so as well is the language from all ages. Sometimes you just have to tolerate it, or switch servers etc. Don't forget you still have choices. I by no means support it, but as an individual can understand my and others frustration. again, just be respectful of others. Play well, have fun.

3-4) I've read through-out this topic, and the quest for or is there even a need for addition policing, and the request why you would want to be a Moderator doesn't add up to me, only because reason wasn't applied- Although I nominate myself- I'm not going to issue why I feel I am eligible for position in this community. The last time I submitted myself - the response was because of legality issues-

So what changed now- and what will you have the new moderators do now differently?

I operate in a field managing a network, Background Checks, training for one of the largest Employers in the World. The request to nominate yourself, with a complete writ, just seems to be more than you may need. I can understand your interest to protect your company, but the individual your are looking for are volunteer ( non-paying employee) just say. and with that said I hope I didn't dis-include myself- just being open minded

PS. I further support the idea as --J-- pointed out A MOD squad. Here here all in favor!!!
