I managed to get a game in this morning and found wannacut and Mad Max 2!

You know, I must say it is a rather fine feeling finding a happy birthday message on a forum such as this one. To be honest, I thought the practice was a bit queer at first, but after being in a squad for several months and now on the receiving side, it's almost as sweet as chocolate chocolate cake.

Thanks for this gesture, Vivek. I can only image how much your three dimensional community appreciates you.


I think that it is also important to point out that even when it comes to age, Disrupt manages to beat me to it by a few squeaky days. What a god damn d!@k that guy is.

Hey all

I'm going to put out a plug for the ranking and voting discussion again. Jimmy the Great gave a great contribution , and I'm hoping for others to add their thoughts.

For now, I'm looking for equality or inequality of voting power by rank. Add thoughts here . Also make remarks that offer a detailed rank descriptions. In other words, what is expected from each rank - or how do we define them. More or less, what do you believe NLR should look like by rank, and how do those ranks interact with each other.

I'm in St. Louis now - Chicago next. Then back home. I'll start on more of the bylaws then.

I will add that you may certainly be of the opinion that this talk is meaningless and all for not. Again, let everyone know here .

I’m new to the forum. My Forum name is Rahul Sharma and in game name is Rahul15 and I’m from India,28 yrs of age and Chartered Accountant by profession.

I would like to join the NLR squad and have played many games with Eldawg, BlueFighter. I was told by BlueFighter to post joining request on forum as well as on Squad chat. I have already posted the joining request on squad chat.

The reason for joining is because NLR members are well respected and deadly in sky. I want to be one of them and ensure everyone that if given a chance, I’ll try to be an asset to the squad.

I do hope that I’ll be given the opportunity to fly under the NLR squad.

Could everyone post below who they are (and have already) sponsored and what squad rank the recruit is.

I think we should keep track some, which I will be happy to do. I'll start a Sponsor/recruit thread. That way we can see who is doing what with whom and how much with whom they are doing it

Vivek asked for some clarification I thought I would share below.

Seems we are still ironing out the wrinkles with the new rules. Perfectly normal.

Any officer can bring in whomever they want on-the-spot. At that point, the officer is the sponsor to that recruit. However, if the new recruit is level 20 or higher, the sponsorship is basically little more than a label as the new recruit comes in automatically as a Wing Commander. The sponsor should still show the new recruit the ropes, but the sponsor does not have to wait to grab another new recruit.


However, if the officer is already a sponsor to a recruit still at Lieutenant, then the officer cannot bring in any new recruit at any level. This keeps the NLRs from growing too quickly.

Three officer votes are no longer required (seemed a pain in the ass) - unless all officers are sponsoring recruits and the squad wants to bring in someone already established. (this portion has not yet been established in the bylaws as we haven't had much of a discussion about voting yet).

I have sponsored [nlr] Mad Max 2, he is at Level 19, Squad Rank-23. Eagerly waiting for him to cross level 20 to decorate him with full [NLR] tag.

Managed to find not 1, but 2 NLRs in games today. Both were insanely laggy, but fun with friends

Yep, fun game. D escorted me to the carrier a couple of times and knocked a red off my tail more than once.

With such a common name, hopefully you are not one of the team killing red barons We have a code of conduct on our main page if you haven't checked it out. The NLR is a respected squad in this community and its our responsibility to hold our selves up to the standards that we have set for ourselves. That being said, i'm sure you will make a valuable addition to the squad.
