Hello fellow NLRs, I have not been able to play dogfight recently because my laptop stays at school over the holidays. But now I have my laptop back and am able to play dogfight again! (no more dogfight withdrawals for me :woohoo: ) but, I still cannot play the game to the extent of what I was before I went missing due to school workload. So I think it's a smart idea for me not to get the full subscription (infinite instantaneous matches is too good and I would get distracted from school). But I will make every effort to play as much as I can and live up to the NLR badge that I wear! I hope to see you all in the sky, my fellow NLRs are always welcome... in blue :whistle:

Just played a few games, and while I don't really mind the changes. This whole multiple hits to kill sure makes me burn through ammo fast. From what ive seen it hasn't really changed the dynamics of the game very much. Bullet drop however would make the game very interesting, if that ever happens.

Night flying is cool, but I cant imagine how difficult it would be on a small phone screen :blink:

Enough of my whining :P All in all I was pleased

Hey guys & gals ;) Since I just got my computer up and running again. I first played some DF and then I just had to do something artsy :P

I made a squad logo. I know we sorta have 1.... or 10, but they are all from other sources across the net.

Other squads have an unmistakable logo.

I for one think that we should have a logo that defines us as a squad. One that we would slap on a plane or phone case.

Colors can be changed as well as font, but that would be some work. Its a large task to curve text in GIMP lol

What do you think?
Bottom link is a vector graphic. It cleaned it up a bit, but also made little imperfections when u get close up. Ill try and fix later lol

Squad Rules:


1. No Teamkilling or unnecessary Spawn killing.
(There are some valid tactical exceptions)
2. Teammates should not fight against each other , Unless it's a Dogfight and everyone agrees.
(Red vs blue balance should be considered. Don't make a good game uneven just to join squad members)
3. Member's should Wear the Squadron's Callsign Letter's (NLR) this is a MUST For New Recruit's to be easily recognized.
4. Be respectful to all fellow pilot's and Kill the heck outta them when they're Red!


New Lunar Republic pilots are tenacious and resourceful in action and are willing to face the displeasure of other established pilots and squads who may consider use of tactics to be a form of cheating. “Tactics” are strategic actions taken with the intention of helping your team to win the mission. Contentious issues may include “dropping”, “sneaking”, “camping” and in some instances “spawn killing”. While some players and squads may see these actions as cheating and abusive, the NLR chooses to use these as valid strategy when done in an effort to win the game. The NLR does not support "stat padding" or abusive game play. These tactics are used to promote the many different strategic elements available within the game. Where head-to-head shooting focuses mostly on a player’s shooting skills, use of a full range of play styles takes full advantage many different skills and abilities.

Ever been to a steam punk event?

Our town has an annual event which fits the bill. We have a museum of steam equipment in town, as well as an operating logging/tourist railway. There are often four or more steam locomotives in town for the event. I'll find some pics to post. The 'punk' side of the event is the theme. Picture 'futuristic' science fiction ala Jules Verne. Costumes, music, performances, demonstrations and libations to match. I swear I've seen 'Octavia' at the event. ;)

I am working on making a steam powered shooting gallery. We are using air-soft bbs and a canvas tent for the gallery. Each shooter will be given 100 rounds and they will fire in bursts. I've got a prototype of the gun but I need to build the working model. We need to build a turret and some easily-resettable targets. I'm looking at doing a zeppelin/flying machine theme. We gotta get more people in on it so it won't happen until next year. More work to do. :pinch:

That's sounds sweet! Probably would work better with Co2, steam might warp the bb's :pinch: This is just a guestimate :S I have no clue really :side:
