Pat, it's a snap: click on the ApocaMOM logo on Page 1, then copy the IMG link in the box to the right of the piece.

On the forum, click the Profile tab, then the small blue Edit button, then the Profile Information tab.

Scroll to the Signature field at the bottom, paste the copied link there and hit Save.

Then do it all again with this:

Paste that one in above the other and you'll have your personal banner with the division logo below it. If you want to get all fancy pants with it, add the word center in [ ] at the beginning of each link. Fun, huh?

A big M.O.M welcome to all the new flyers. Glad to have you.

Unlike many, I did not start this game as a natural. It was not uncommon for me to get shot down 5 or 6 times to 1 kill. I was sure it was because others had better equipment or larger screens. It had to be something other than I just sucked. Dug a pretty big hole on the Kill to Death ratio before I started to turn things around. I know that it isn't just about the ratio, but when you have more deaths than kills, it tends to weigh pretty heavy on you.

I started keeping stats at the end of April of this year and at that time, I had 1,049 more deaths (5004) than kills (3955) and an overall ranking of 549. I was beginning to show some improvement by this time and could actually see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Well, hot damn, this weekend it finally happened. I now have 20 more kills than deaths.

Nice post Gaw! Now I know I'm not alone! I started as a misfit recruit, told never ever ever drop your bomb...ever! my kdr got creamed! I'm still in a deep hole, but I do try .to get a bomb on a target on most runs. Plus I do kinda suck too! :blink:and now I can carry two bombs if I want I'm slowly climbing out but it really means nothing in the game rankings. I play for fun and to help fellow blues win the game! Im venting! Tks.....York

Brian, you're staying right where you are. I'm stuck with the old tag and if I am so are you! My plan from the start was to keep you and me holding down the original fort while the guys pitched in to get the new tags established. I have always played on a shoddy device. When I began play, my brain was blown on drugs, so I had no grasp of what I needed to learn.It took me until level 15 to learn how to actually hit a zeppelin (hitting the engines), & I didn't realize until level 13 that dropping bin a increased speed.

At level 16, I had 1000 more deaths than kills. That was the first time I applied (not seriously) for M.O.M. I was mocked by Reaper 13, saying I wouldn't even make it in VF10 (a dead squadron, incidentally.) I told him I would be ranked higher than reaper 6 by the end of the month. Reaper 6 was then 500 spots ahead of me, at about 1300 in the world.

One month passed, and I passed reaper 6. I got my spad, and my KDR began to improve. At level 19, it evened out, at 2136. As of yesterday, I'm at 2000 more kills than deaths. My kdr rises relatively slowly, I'm just starting at level 25.9 (I'm 11K out from level 26) to seriously practice turn fighting. I discovered, thanks to Big Tex and Wig, that I've been putting myself at a disadvantage for as long as I've played. Instead of using tilt controls, I use a little on-screen joystick on the bottom left of my screen.

Remember, no.matter how far down you are... I have nothing inspirational to finish this with.
