My apologies Roo. Certainly did not intend to cause you any additional undue stress. I know how fragile your state is. Please allow me to offer your a tiny bit of knowledge.

Please see the attached photo.
1) Doily
2) Doily
3) Doily on a "telly"

This frigging video is plagued with doilies!

Speaking of videos, your "ritual" video has apparently been blocked by Davy's black helicopters.
Fuck this place. Second rate hack playing in a yard that's too big for him.

Dave,

Your being harsh again, really. C'mon man! You have to see her point... I mean I'm sure she wants her groceries in the grocery, her clothes in the shop, the gas at the pump, the lumber in her house, the car in her driveway.... You know all her stuff, when and where she wants it. But for GAWD'S SAKE, you shouldn't subject her having to see your "eye sore" of rig anywhere but hauling her shit down the road. GET WITH IT MAN!!!

What a tool! (and I don't mean you, Dave)

Thankfully it wasn't me, but it's raised a significant amount of hell the last couple of days... You've got to love her grammar!!! But, that's a lot of people's attitude. I think they think this is just our hobby.

That's exactly what I think Doc. The list of these towns is growing too. Warner Robbins, GA just tried to pass one of these stupid laws.

I say that a national bull rack convention might be in order for Coon Rapids!

Most of the towns in and around Dallas have passed these laws already. You remember the old T/A truck stop in mesquite next to Dallas (i-30 & us 80) it closed due to that law. You can't park a truck inside the city limit without permit. No ones gonna buy a permit to sleep over night.

Did not know that... One of these days we're gonna get our act together. A little solidarity would most likely take care of the b.s. for at least 10 years, but... Who knows how much it's going to take to make it happen. There are so many fly by nighters out here right now and they don't know the difference. Oh well... I don't know how long it's going to be b4 I pursue some other angles at this game that don't involve a steering wheel or owning and maintaining trucks... It seems like those that make money off of our backs are doing just fine right now.

I love what I do very much but yea, it keeps getting harder. Especially as contradictory laws are passed left and right by well meaning fools/idiots that ensure that we are going to violate something. As long as we do what we've always done which is to find a way to do our jobs irregardless of the roadblocks thrown at us, I guess the average busybody will keep throwing roadblocks at us.

Maybe I just need to open a bar instead...

in Sweden we have something called Right of Public Access.
I translated it with google translate but I hope you can read it anyway.

The biggest advantage you have as a tourist is right to wander freely in the countryside, swimming in lakes, pick berries and flowers. But nature's wealth and experiences we have on loan during our time on earth. Everyman's right is therefore an agreement with both rights and responsibilities.

You are free to move around in the wild - but not damage crops or plantation forests.

You may not go over fields and plots. Respect others' privacy and the privacy of others.

You will not break twigs or branches, take bark or bark from living trees and shrubs, you should never cut down trees!

You may pass through the fence and gate, but close behind you.

It is forbidden to light fires in dry weather. Check with the emergency. You should just burn in specially designated places. Never burn on the rocks, they burst of heat. Extinguish the fire completely before leaving the site. Fuel should never be done so that it damages the environment.

You may camp for a night on the land of others - but not on someone else's site.

You get to pick wild berries, flowers and mushrooms of course, not in a garden.

Fishing and hunting are never roam - but there is a fishing license to purchase.

Leave the animals' nests and chicks alone. Always keep your dog under close supervision. Period 1 March to 20 August it shall be on a leash outdoors.

All motorized vehicles are prohibited in the terrain.

You may park your vehicle and set the trailer directly next to the road if you do not impede traffic or those who work in the forest.

It is prohibited to drive with PWC in other waters than those provincial government decided.

Take your garbage! Think of others, leave nature as it was when you arrived.

For everyone's comfort, please bring a shovel to dig and cover a latrine pit. This is especially important when you are staying in places frequented by many people, such as our islands and beaches.
The overnight stay is required.

If you violate roam Auditors simple rules and considerations, it is punishable.

Enjoy therefore the concept of responsible freedom, a freedom that does not exist in other countries!
Don´t live life faster then your guardian angel can fly

Well I for one beleave as truckers we could band together and shut the place down without shutting down to get our point across. It's easy enough if we start congregating in the major city's in the morning and evening rush hours we would then only drive the minimum posted speed limits. This alone would shut traffic down thoroughout the city. A little radio time to let people know what and why we are doing and what we want changed and I think it would get changed. Think about it, less than 1/5 of the US trucking fleet is in city traffic at rush hours because we try to avoid it at all cost. If we make that 1/2 the fleet then NOBODY'S going anywhere fast. To work or home. This my friend would get their attention and their ear. But we're all to independent for that right? Anyway 2 cents in the pot.

It's actually weird that you guys are treated so bad. If you get a DUI which is .04 for you guys. Your job is lost. That's even if your in a car. Does this apply to say a police officer or Fireman, No. They bust you over things that really are a act of nature. Burned out light bulbs? I'm sure most drivers keep up as best as possible but the penalties are ridiculous. I'm sure every truck driver wants to haul an extra 5,000 lbs on for excitement. They do it because of pressure from customers or upper management. Who gets busted? "Just say no" is easy to say until your paycheck is hanging on the line. Google has nothing on tracking. The next thing for you guys is a sensor in your underware.
I know it's supposedly for the good of the road but who is doing all the unsafe driving? That mean person in Coon MN that's who. Next time your on an Interstate watch who the trouble is. It's the group of travel cars full of kids who hook up into a speed train. Or the Benz that could care less about laws.

Then you would get written up for not practicing safe driving practices. Threatened with your lively hood and explained that you are to do what your told. It would get no publicity except maybe a story about the mean old truck drivers. I laugh when I see stories about how dangerous you are in those big trucks. Put that newsman in the passenger seat for a day and see how his nerves are. Wait, How come you never see that on the news?
