Stop holding servers and people who want to play, hostage!!!! Some of us actually want to play. It's not fair to anyone on your side to have to fly outnumbered when you lay on your back and whine and cry like a little girl. We can't get new teammates because you are taking up space. Sneak or play or do something productive. Sitting and crying does not count. I am baffled that you made and have lasted this long in top 100.

If your not going to play you should respect those of us who are and leave the game so we have others join who want to play.

I'd like to add...if you do start, don't quit...played a game where a red had 3 others...those 3 left and he got pummeled more than if they stayed. Never learn to get better without getting beat

I am not a fan of pluribus's style of play.. BUT, this is just a game and as long as you aren't breaking any of the few rules zuperman has then you should be allowed to play the game however you feel is best for you.

That includes dropping & sneaking & pretty much everything (except for spawnkilling with a tank on or next to runway.. or blocking a runway with your plane or tank) including just lying around doing nothing after you get killed once like pluri.. it might not make sense to any of us but it's his style of play.. AND it has him in the Top 10 of Wins:Deaths Ratio statistics as well as other categories compiled by Blue Fighter.

Like I said, I'm not fond of what he does, but I defend the right of him to do it... especially as he very rarely EVER comes here to the forum!

In the beginning, I did, as well, have a little problem with Mr. PLURIBUS. I have discovered over the years that he is a GOLDEN MEMBER here.

You never know if someone is disabled and can fly for a few minutes and just wants to watch.

I've done it.

Let him rest and enjoy WATCHING how well YOU do.

Sorry you see it that way Giz.. if you played that way I would defend your right to play the game that way too! HECK! I despise Calle and Bubi for their style of play (spawnkilling noobs primarily, as well as leaving missions the moment that anyone enters that may be able to shoot them down) BUT, despite the way I feel about it I would defend their right to play as well if it didn't come into direct opposition of one of zuperman's few rules, which is not to do something that ruins the game for other players. Plus Giz, for however you may feel about pluribus's style of play (and I mostly feel the same about it most likely), he's in the Top 50 in World Rank AND has more Won games & Hangars than you do! So there has to be something he's doing right.. right?

Call it whatever you want, it isn't going to make any difference. It has all been said and will probably all be said again. I'm not trying to tell anyone not to post about it but please, spare the stress.

I have wondered about Plur for a long time. Having absolutely no idea who he "actually"is I like to picture him as some curmudgeonly octogenarian military veteran with arthritis and little else to do. Other times I wonder if he works for US homeland security in some obscure web monitoring program where he is required to spend a certain number of hours playing international on-line games and has found a way to boost his ranking while putting in as little effort as possible...the ultimate tactician!

Just want to point out to the defenders of all that's pure around here that although it's just a game, and he's technically not breaking any rules by his most peculiar play style, he is ruining game play. When he's lying on his back complaining about everything imaginable, his teammates are short handed.

In a 4-4 game, you're down a player. The whole game. Plus you get to listen to the sarcastic play by play. So it's not really fair to his teammates who either play shorthanded the whole game and take the loss or go find something else... What about their right to enjoy the game?

As long as Plur is within his rights I guess... The rest can suffer.

I have no idea how he became top 50. I have no idea how he obtained his 11000+ wins, no clue how he has bombed almost 9000 hangars. Dude is nothing more that a point harvester... Loss points are better than no points...

Must've gotten 95% of those numbers before the rest of us joined.

Holy crap! Eeyore has been doing this crap for almost three years?! That's hilarious, and so incredibly bunk at the same time. Had a game with him today. Spawn in and I see a red right next to the base! Brakes, throttle, take off! Oh, it's Plur sitting on his back. Lol. Felt bad for the Reds. They would have won with an extra player.

Though a bit annoying, but I think Pluribus is trying to make this game a bit more real! I believe those real dogfighter got only one life! He is trying to do the same! Though I won't possible play like him as long as Zuperman let me fly! But that a good way of being like a real dogfighter. And I don't see the reason why he should be kicked out of a game. There are many games in a server and in total 6 servers! So the cause of letting a new player play in inconvenient!!

The one way he does play unfairly when lying on his back next to the barracks he wasn't able to bomb. By staying there it leaves a red dot at blue base. After everyone has spawned and seen it's just plur, its not given another thought. Reds fly just in the top atmosphere till over the blue base and dive straight down no one on the blue team is aware that there is and enemy over base thanks to plurs lack of gitty up. And the barracks are bombed.

Back, way back when I first started this game pure was one of the top aces and by far the best bomber. He has always been in the top 75 since I have played. To watch him play it's hard to believe it possible. Why play if that's your attitude, right. And how the hell do you mak3 and stay in the top 50 when that's your tactics?

I don't know this for fact, but pure must be changing his tag name and flying like a crazed davy to stay where he does. Then returns to the plure we know and plays like it's just not worth the effort...


There's no way he could stay where he does in world ranking playing the way he is so known for..... least not that I am aware of.

I 've seen Plur actually play before and he's pretty good when he wants to be.

1. Two straight games I had the luxury of him as a teammate yesterday. Both times we were outnumbered 4-3. Not bad odds right? But when the others are all levels 25 and higher and you have a group captain and plur, it turns out to be a bit ridiculous. I got pounded thanks to him rolling over like a dog and waiting for someone to scratch his belly. And then he sits and cries and says, "I don't think BULLET can win 4-1." Really, you twit... Leave the server so others trying to find a game can join in and help.

I would rather have two or three aspirants on my side rather than Plur, or just have no one. At least the level 1 guys will try and not cry. And if I'm alone at least I can die in peace without having to see someone bitch and moan the entire time.

2.To anyone who thinks this is acceptable , than get lost. It's a team game and I don't believe what he's the way a team game should be played. Apparently to him there may not be an "I" in team but there's a "ME."

He reminds me of my 10yr old stepson on Sundays, watching football. We are huge Baltimore Ravens fans. It could be the 1st quarter and 14:00 still left in 1st quarter. The other team could score on their first possession and my stepson Zach will say "We lost." "I'm like, really, go upstairs." I guess I'm gonna have to start putting Plur in 'Time Out.'

Just pisses me off. I get that it's a game. However it's a team game. I would rather have someone on my team less experienced and have 0 kills and 20 deaths. You know why? Because it means their trying to help their team. I played baseball for 25 years so I take the meaning of team to heart when I'm in a team atmosphere. And answer me know this..... If it's just a game why does he want to join a game to sit and cry and be depressing. So stupid!!! Somebody find the wa-ambulance for this guy. For those who still thinks he spoils the game and deserves such forum threads: I meet Plur once every 100 games or so. He is an unlikely encounter - at least for me.

So, even if I didnt like him (which is not the case, I think he is an INSTITUTION of DF world), it would just be a case of QUITING THE GAME and going for another plur-free session.

Besides, he is a nice guy.

I would I leave a game where I have put time into? If I was poisoning a game others have put time into I would leave and find another. I pay for this game and it's not fair to have someone ruin a game. It's the same thing as being in a game for an hour and having awesome numbers and u have been there to see each hanger get bombed. Then a guy joins in an immediately climbs off the radar, sneaks across and bombs your hanger to get a cheap win after everyone has been playing and working hard to have a fun game. I've seen it happen and even the reds were pissed at him. It's just dispicable.

He got there by points harvesting. While he is laying idle on his back (watching TV or eating lunch, or doing homework) he still gets points win or lose. So we are all working hard to make sure Plur registers some points for his efforts.

I have heard from too many that he can be a good pilot when he wants to be. Tells me he is there to harvest points.

I would like to see idle players kicked from the game.

If it's just a game,why were you so much bothered about players with symbols /no names, a few months back. You even made a thread for it. So saying "It's just a game" here, on this thread, is pointless.

By the way, Zup emailed me about that, because he knows that no-names IS A PROBLEM. He just said that the possible solutions for this problem would bring more problems to the table. And he even tried a solution, cuz he saw that my approach had a valid point, worthy of attention from a developer's point of view.

But I doubt Zup would send an email answering to anyone that complains about how player X plays or how player Y doesnt play.

You're right Bullet. And you definitely are not alone. Zup has been made aware of the Pluribus factor and your other concerns have been brought to his attention many times. What do you propose? Anything new?

Most of you would know football/soccer. Just like most of the games it's a team game. Each team have 11 players and to win the game,it needs co-ordination among team mates. Imagine someone from your team sitting idle on the ground saying ' I wont play coz the other team is tough! Anyhow the management is gonna pay me'. Being on this team,will you have this same attitude?? Pls don't throw the "it's just a video game" bs again.

I was thinking a hockey power play reference, but your example works just as well.

Has anyone other than me noticed it is normally the same people having the same discussions about the same issues? Not poking anyone in particular, or anyone at all, but it really seems kind of redundant. (Yep, I still read some of it just to while away the hours)

It seems the only "solvable" play style is either team killing, which gets you auto-kicked, or tank spawnkilling, which earns you a place out of the whole game.
