You've got to ask 'yes/no-answered' questions to help you solve the riddles. I guess I could ask a question to help you guys on the right track.

Here it is:

(Riddle 1) - Did the man have an expectation as to what the seagull would taste like?

That is all ;)

EDIT: These are called Lateral Thinking Riddles, FYI.

Luna, although you know the answer, other people needs to know it too, so here it goes: Yes.
I wish I was a girl and leaved near you, only to give you a "beliscão" for doing this!!!
(It's your turn to use google to translate an unknown word...) ;-)

Edit 1: I learned what means "WTF", "BTW", "ASAP", and other abbreviations... But what is FYI?
Edit 2: Please, do you know more riddles of this kind? If so, let me know! I only know these two!

I don't know what you mean with "a full in the sea", but when I wrote seagull (or sea gull, or sea-gull, whatever), I meant that bird that populates all beaches, and ports. Like flying rats, they are...
As my signatures states, I am not capable of making jokes or riddles using this kind of subtleness of the English language, if it was you thought... ;-)

HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Thanks for your good intentions, Sput, but I see that you didn't understand what I meant with "Please, do you know more riddles of this kind? (...) I only know these two!".
Actually, I was asking Luna for more riddles (like the two that I posted in this thread - the riddle of the suicidal guy and the riddle of the maid at the hotel room).

But your help is welcome, anyway - I bookmarked the link you posted!

Let's see... All I can say is that the man was married.
And again, tha main trick to solve this kind of riddle: try to see the big picture, try to know more about the "actors", about the scenary, etc.

Luna, I warned you: I'm about taking a flight to the States, only to pull your ears for spoiling this!
Aren't you a little too "fast"? Too much "to the point?"
And where are the riddles that you promised to me? As I said, I only know these two...

Ok. I'm on a streak of yes's so I'm going to make a guess thats for some reason on my mind:
There was an accident, man's wife dies, man ends up eating his wife instead of seagull, and he just kills himself out of depression?

Luna, did you see what you did here? I am your public enemy now! When I found my android phone (my 10 months young little daughter took it to somewhere this morning), I will sneak to your headquarters and bomb it down!

Vortex, you are hot. But the picture needs to be entirely saught. I ask you:

A ) Why someone would eat his own wife's flesh "instead of seagull"? and
B ) Why, after eating his own wife's flesh, a man would kill himself after eating a piece of seagull flesh?

Well, I'm guessing he ate his wife unintentionally. Maybe he crashed on an island, food was scares, he wanted seagull and accidentally got dead wife? And he killed himself because he couldn't cope with the fact he's now cannibalistic?

Yeah, I can consider it done.
Congratulations, Vortex!! You figured it out, even thought some minor pieces are still missed (no one would accidentally eat his own wife, don't you think?). But there is no reason to take it any longer, and you did it 99%, so here goes the entire history:

The man, his wife and a friend were in a boat. They shocked against some rocks, and the boat exploded. They were castaway in a small desert island, except for the man's wife.
After some days, the man's friend found the man's wife's body and she was disfigurated. So, he didn't tell his friend.
More days were passed, and they where starving, when the couple's friend decided to give his fellow the woman's flesh, saying that it was seagull's (he didn't want to shock the poor man).
They were rescued, but since then the man was concerned about the fact that his wife's body was never found, and about the color and smell of the meat they eaten at the island.
He begun to imagine that his friend possibly had lied to him, and after some time, he decided to put his doubt to a proof.
That's when he entered the restaurant.

(please, don't bother correcting this text, unless you really didn't understand it).
