I will make only one try: "Shadows?"
=====================================================
Now, I have another riddle (Beforehand, to those that already knows this one, please, don't spoil the thing. Right, Luna?)
Here it goes:
A woman is walking on the streets when she meets her former math teacher.
He is a very smart man, well known for his intelligence and knowledge on the subject.
He asks her how life is being after she left school, and she tells him that she got married, and now have three lovely daughters.
He asks her for her
three daughters ages.
The women suggests that the professor could find out the ages by using only logical thinking and mathematical operations, based on some hints she can give him. The man accepts the challenge.
She then says to him that
36 is the result of the multiplication of her children's ages. The professor thinks for a second, and says that he needs more tips.
She then looks around,
shows him the number of a house in front of them, and says that
this number is the sum of her children's age. The man
looks at the house's number, thinks for a second again, and says that he still needs one more hint.
So the woman says: "
My older daughter plays piano." After that said, the man smile, and imediatelly tells her the age of her three daughters.
===============
Now I want you people to answer only one question:
a)
How did the teacher find the ages by using only logic and not guessing?
===============
I need to make some "warnings" though:
a) As some of you already know, my English is bad. If you detected some unclear expressions or errors, let me know, to prevent people to think that there is some language trick or something like that involved on this - when there is not!
b) Although some of you can think otherwise, you need to believe me: There is no "catch" on this riddle. There is no subtle "jokes", there is nothing with double meanings, nothing at all! The solution can be directly deducted from analyzing the facts that were told, and to solve this riddle you will only need some basic math knowledge and, more important: logic, logic, logic! Not a single guess! No imagination is necessary to do it!!!
c) Please, I don't want you people posting something like just "Hey, the ages are 1, 2, 18". I want you to answer my question (the one wrote in red), by writing down the entire logic used by the professor to find the answer. So, finding the ages will be just a collateral effect of answering my question...)
d) Again, if anything is not clear enough, please ask me, and if anything is wrong (from English language perspective), please tell me.
