Should that maybe be brought to a "Damage Prevention Officer"? A person specific to stuff like that. Give him the info and let him handle it.

2.
A player has an issue with a member from another squad. Maybe that player from another squad was tank glitching for example. You either put it on the blacklist or you would give all the info to the "Damage Prevention Officer" and he handles it for you.


I want to know what everybody's thoughts are. Do you think we need to have policies in place regarding how people post and react to things that occur?

I think it would be a good idea if we had 2 Damage Prevention Officers(they don't have to be called that...they could be called something else...just the first name that came to mind.)

One would handle issues between squads. The other could handle internal issues. Maybe just one would do.

If this is something everyone would be interested in let me know. Respond on here or send me a pm.

It could be open to anyone who wants to do it. Even if you're not a current officer. You just need to have a level head and be objective.

I would be happy to apply for this job, but let's have an application process if we go this way.

Again guys, I'm only proposing this with the squad in mind. I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes, control anyone, or take over. You guys know me. I just care about this squad and our members.

What are your thoughts? We could have a squad meeting too about it also if there is enough interest.

I could see your idea having some merit. However, I think the big challenge will be to convince the rank and file that they should let the Damage Control Officer handle things for them in the heat of the moment. Not so sure that some of our personalities don't get some enjoyment from the heated banter. I am not one of those.

Then there will be issues of those having the problem not being pleased with how the DCO handled the situation.

I appeciate the recommendation walleye and Hulk, but I must decline. I want my limited time on dogfight to be fun. I prefer to avoid confrontations.

If Comet is willing to serve and the squad thinks the position is warranted, I would recommend accepting his offer. Quickly, before he gives it additional thought.

Been thinking about this a lot the last couple of Days. Around here our High Schools have implemented a Volunteer Program with the Kids. They call them Resolution Counselors. It's designed for Students to have a one on one with a mediator to resolve conflicts. It works.

I also agree that just having the word "Damage" in the Title is a set up for failure.

What about Liason Officer?

I don't know, rambling maybe, not sure what all took place but do know there were plenty of hurt feelings, anger, and a few other emotions. Personally I rarely go into the WC. So rare when I do I often am suspected as being an imposter.

It's just like the old chat rooms, no matter what, there will always be conflict and plenty of people eager to cause it.

I'm willing to go along with the idea and will support it and whoever takes on the role.

I just want to see us all get back to having fun, being respected and feared in the Skies!

Yeah it was a long rough first day back to work, but I really want to see us get back to who we really are.

Been thinking for a few days reading and re reading all the posts. I like the Idea to an extent. The main problem I see is right in the heat of the moment. Alot of us can stay calm but still have that 1 button that gets jumped on to send us over the edge. So Id say maybe more than one public relations officer would be best if this is something that we dec8de to do. Keeping in mind the different times we all play. So there is my input on that subject.

World chat got me, what are you in for? no really though i have no clue but i was in wc then minutes later i was muted. I can't even see chat in wc or sc and I've checked all my settings and everything is fine there. Also when i go to the forum now i have to log in every time.

Coop is having the same problem but says his account it's not recognized he can't even play i believe.
