Brian, this is utterly heartbreaking news. I know how deeply you loved Bentley. What a tragic turn, I'm speechless. I'm sure the entire group is feeling your loss. All condolences, my friend.

In the wake of Brian's sad news this announcement is made somewhat bittersweet, as is often the case when good news comes on the heels of bad.

I'm pleased to let M.O.M know that, effective this past weekend, The Star Chamber has two new members: YEMX and Von Len.

Both Brian and Len have exemplified what it is to be a M.O.M, (whatever that means) and we're fortunate to now have them weighing in on matters of weightless unimportance in the SC. There are many qualified M.O.Ms, some who've declined and some who don't have the time (or space in their email inbox) to devote, as well as a couple I expect to invite soon...but none more deserving of the left handed honor than these two.

Hey Brian, I'm so sorry for your loss , the last dog buddy I lost was 19 years ago... Hurt so bad I never got another one and I grew up with them, while farming I'd spend all my time with a dog at my side, just thinking back on it brings the hurt & sorrow back to the surface...

Brian, I just read your post about Bentley and I want to say how much I feel for your loss. Loosing a good dog like him is as painful as loosing any family member because I know that such a pet is family. My deepest condolances, my friend.

I really would like to thank all of you for your thought, prayers, and kind words of encouragement. I know how much courage it takes to respond to a post after finding out about someone's loss or hardship. This has been a very tough struggle for all of us, but you guys have shown to me and my family that Bentley was so much more then just a dog. He was an angel, that truly warmed the hearts of everyone.
So many times we would come across people that were so afraid of him at first and with in minutes he would melt there heart. They would then start to laugh at him and themselves once they realized how soft, kind, and gentle of a boy he was. For his mamma that is all she ever wanted people to see, his love and kindness.
