So after alot of time and many steep remerks, I have come to the conclusion that, that old fart cricket may not be such a bad guy. At first he come off on the wrong foot but ive realized that he really is a good guy and only wants to help. From this day on I stand by cricket

I just got out of a mission with a good friend and fellow first gen M.O.M. I feel the need to get this said publicly:

I have zero compunction about bomb dumping when I'm on the wrong end of either server lag, individual red player lag or Windows 8 lag.

I mentioned something about lag tonight (I wasn't alone in mentioning it) and a red said, "We all have to learn to work with it, bud." Precisely.

In this above referenced mission I'd been getting one-hit-killed at range by a level 20. I unloaded 50 rounds per pass directly into his face, no question about them not being hits under anything other less laggy circumstances...and, needless to say, none of them hit. But his magic bullet would drop me...sometimes from behind me after he'd cleared the head-on pass. Even when I did kill him with 6-10 hits his corpse would kill me before expiring. Comes a point when enough is enough.

I am unapologetic about bomb dumping. There's a world of difference between dumping, flying to the red base then spawn-camping to inflate personal stats, and dumping to support teammates or to contribute to a victory. If I can do more good escorting bombers or from a tank, that's how I'll help my team to win. My Hangar and Won Game stats speak for themselves.

Too much indignation regarding bomb dumping has been vented on the forum without what I think is a sufficient voicing of the logical opposing argument. Here it is: bomb dumping, unlike spawn-killing and flagrant camping, is a legitimate tactic. .It is not the same thing as stat-padding. It's a tactic I'll continue to employ whenever I find there to be too much lag to be able to maintain a fair match without taking some sort of anti-lag measures. If my options are to let laggy players pad their stats at my expense for the sake of satisfying some sense that bomb carrying is the only "honorable" way to play, or to simply not play Dogfight so the laggers can enjoy the game, I'll be going with Option #3. I'm fully prepared for opposing players to dump their bombs when they realize I've done so. I've made adjustments to contend with your unfair advantage, I encourage you to adjust to mine.

I hope that clarifies the issue for anyone who might previously have been confused.

Sorry it's taken so long to reply to this, Joe. It slipped past my notice until just now.

No banners are lost, they're all safely locked away in the nuke-proof subterranean vaults here at Wiggins Creative Laboratories. The problem was purely one of upload/download distribution. It's appears as though that's well on its way to being rectified by M.O.Ms establishing their individual Photobucket accounts or accessing the new album I created.

As for new banners, the storage snafu has no impact on them, they'll be coming down the pipeline as early as tomorrow or as late as February 30th, I generally figure if it's the day before the next new member announcement I'm still on schedule ... it helps immeasurably if a new banner awaiting M.O.M can shoot me a private message with some personal info, e.g. profession, hobbies, interests, anything you think might steer me in some direction, creatively, that'll make your banner more than generic boilerplate, something we don't deal in here at the MOModrome. You've seen how the banners key off of a person's location/nationality, name, personal passion or activity...I'm accustomed to winging it but any input is welcome.

How much did it cost you to get it fixed? I felt mine wanting to exit my hands at a high rate of speed several times today..... I think I am on about a 10 game losing streak..... Don't know what it is but cant seem to pull it together...

Got over 100 kills for the first time!

I spawned into a BTB match earlier today and Frank Baracca was on the red side. Been a while since I had to face ol' Frank. Somehow the DF Gods always put us on the same team. Not this time. Man, he really is a monster! Holy smokes.

Another load of incredible banners

I haven't been able to play so much this week.
It all started with stinker getting sick the night to Tuesday, vomiting all over our bed and us. Then the missus and my 10 year old daughter got the bug the night to Thursday, and the night to Friday it hits my son.

I've been changeing the bedding full of vomit, I havs scrubbed the living room floor and carpet, decontaminated the toilet thinking if I haven't got the bug by now I won't get it. What a foolish though. Early this morning (4am) it was my turn to ruch to the toilet.
The only positive thing is that it doesn't last long, so if the 12 yaer old doesn't gets it it'll be over by tomorrow or Monday.

Edit:Spare no one seams to be this bugs say. The 12 year old has it too now.
