For my pennyworth, I think the whole game should be rolled back to just where the trees were introduced. And world chat should be closed down and noobs thrown in at the deep end, as we were.

Muck, I'm a huge advocate of rescue organizations. Thanks for posting! I've posted many pics of our pup on the cats and dogs thread. She's a rescue. She looks like a full blooded chocolate lab, but is mutt. Dad was a boxer. She's my boat/fishing buddy and loves me more than I deserve.

She certainly looks full Lab, perfect colour and her coat looks like satin, lovely sheen on her.

I got both of these from a shelter with the ex gf. Roxy the Australian Shepard mix 11 years ago and Zoey the Yellow Lab Pit mix 10 years ago.

Sadly Zoey just passed away three weeks ago after battling a cancerous tumor in her liver. She fought hard for four days after the vet recommended not to do surgery because of her age and location of the tumor. Roxy stayed by her side the whole time during her battle and mourned for a week after.

So sorry to hear Martin.
It hurts to read. I have lost 3 dogs to different diseases. Cancer, heart problem and the last one to kidney failure. All of them way to early.

Does my memory serves me wrong or was there someone here that had bought a iPad mini with the retina screen?
And if so, has this guinea Pig honorable person compared it to the iPad 4?
Is the iPad 4 worth the extra $ or will a iPad mini 2 gen be as good to play DF on.
I want to know what to write to Santa.

I haven't seen the new iPad mini up close but I did a lot of reading when I was pad shopping. It is supposed to be upgraded with the same screen and resolution as the bigger versions now. My wife's old mini is ok to play on and it has the older screen. It just isn't as crisp. If it were me I would go with the 4. Everyone knows I don't care for the iPad Air. The new mini should be nice though. I didn't realize the iPad 4 was as good as it is until I started trying different things out.

I'm standing in line right now to buy my wife's new ipad mini. I'll try to sneak the game on it and test it for ya Anders. I'll have answer in the next day or so.

I would not know how to act if either of these mutts of mine passed. Sorry to hear that M. We have the Maltese and a small Terrier mix. The terrier was on his way to the pound. He was a tiny pup when we got him. His name is Goat. I think he is 5 now. Good dog. Used to go to work with me all the time. He loves going to work. Too cold to take him up here. When he was a puppy he had this huge goatee. That is how he got his name. He has long hair if we don't keep him cut. Every time my wife takes him they give him a Mohawk and dye it. Last time it was fluorescent green.

Everyone knows how I was blackmailed into buying the Maltese. Still waiting on my blue Albatross and Fokker.

I don't play on the iPad Air any more. It really jacks with my game. Too touchy. I can't hit a thing straight on and my K/D ratio suffers. I'm back on my iPad 4 to stay. No more experimenting for me. I found the best device for DF.

Ok quick review. I just finished setting it up (which was super easy, btw). It's amazingly light weight, compared to the ipad4 and about half a thick. I played for a few minutes with no issue. I easily adjusted from the ipad4 to mini. The display is marginally less clear/sharp than the 4, but still better than my iphone4s and better than the kindle fire (Non-hd model). I prefer the larger ipad4 due to the larger screen. If I were upgrading from a phone to the mini, I'd be thrilled. Ipad4 to a mini, feels like a very slight downgrade. If the difference is a couple thousand krona it could be a reasonable compromise to go with the less expensive mini. It would be a hell of an upgrade from any phone. If you can swing the extra cash for the ipad4 I believe it's still the premier device for DogFight and a damn nice tablet all around.

The only complaint I had for the mini is its "delicate" feel. It seems much less sturdy than the ipad4. It feels as if it could break very easily. I'm sure it's more durable than it seems/feels, but I remain skeptical. This is something a good case would eliminate.

Bottom line, if you can afford the 4 do it. If it's a burden, the mini is definitely more than good enough.
